@Syzygy314159 Palin fan, ey? Welcome to the future....one WITHOUT a Republican in the White House!
I know, it's rough having no REAL heros in your camp. With McCain't and his air-headed stewardess your party had no chance. Don't you just hate it to have a non-white man making GOOD decisions, after your guy spent 8 years making a mess so big not even HE thought possible?
Yes, Republicans are losers. Sorry to say it all so bluntly. Got a racist or otherwise stupid retort? Curses, threats?
this attack on "the rich" is so ucouth. when a construction working is hurt on the job and perhaps has hurt his spine. he goes to a doctor who may make 650,000 a year. Its that doc who gets that "working man" back on his feet so he can go back to work and make money for his family. That doctor is "the rich" you moronic democrats yearn to tax so much.
'Fruit of Kaboom Bomber'!!? I love it & hadn't heard that one. I know that they were trying to use the 'brown streaks' in the bombers underwear to prove him guilty but they were using underwear out of his suitcase! If you remember last years events we're almost to the day of the 'Black guy with an exploding Penis'! o.k. enough about Tiger Woods, we need to move on to the bomber issue....
@SynchroTotal nafta helped the "working man"? gatt helped the "working man"? actually strom thurmand was a democrat initially as were most of the politicians working against desegragation (due to democrats mostly on the side of south untill about the mid 70's. I'm not defending the republicans but I am certainly against making a neuro surgeon pay a higher percentage of taxes than he already has to pay. Lets see the average "working man" perform surgery on the brain or heart! "the rich"???
I am in no way a Rush Limbaugh advocate, and he does speak out of his a** often. But to ignore the evidence that the "race card" is infact pulled in our society more often than not, is stupid. People call others racist everyday to compensate for short comings, no matter what race you are. Is it racist if a hispanic manager hires a hispanic employee over a black, white, or asian employee? The racists excuse is getting old. BTW, I live in a $1.5M home by the beach, no trailer
Here it comes, get ready for it, yes, there it is......3:39. RACE CARD!
Its the fail safe, go to option for all African Americans. If you dont agree with blacks and support our point of view. That makes you a racist? If you call out Obama because you disaprove of his policies or the effectiveness of his work, racist? This country is getting fed up and tired of hearing about the Race Card everytime there is a problem with Obama!
@wilson066 Well were getting tired of living in a racist society with the racists claiming there is no racism when there clearly is everyday in everyway. This is not your country go back the the UK!!!
Eugene Robison is an intellectual joke and a dem apologist. He is not a reporter, certainly no analyst of anything -- he's just here to do damage control for the dems and attack republicans. This nation is so twisted that Liberals are openly condescending towards blacks and blacks love it. Liberals treat Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Maxine Waters, Eugene Robinson, and Barack Obama as something other than the morons they are. They are propped up as leading black minds when they're idiots. Sick
@braininahat : Eugene Robinson is a "joke" ... umm ... where's your Pulitzer prize? You are the one that is sadly twisted. Limbaugh is the one playing the "race card" here not anyone else. The true idiot and sick person in this is YOU for not being able to have one single clue about what you are talking about. Got to hell where you belong you idiotic piece of shit.
@JediDude38 Dude, you have the word "Jedi" in your name. That automatically makes you a moron. Pulitzer prize? Yeah, and Obama has an undeserved Nobel Peace prize, so what's your point? If you actually think Eugene Robinson isn't the most simple mofo you've ever heard, then you're helpless. You're the same type of idiot who buys into the "Obama is smart" meme. When you're a failure at your job, you're an idiot in the only sense that matters, and he is a failure. And you support failure.
People like The Texacop337 and AlabamaConfereracy are examples of people who will make America repeat the past mistakes of Nazi Germany and turn the USA into another Nazi Germany because of their hatred and ignorance. If they ever turn the USA into Nazi Germany, I hope these racist people will fall victim to bombings by their enemies such as North Korea.
If these two sacks of dog shit love Haiti so much I think they should move there and give some first hand help to those poor victims of that wonderful act of nature.
Who in the hell does this negro think he is? Eugene Robinson is the biggest racist there is. I just got done reading his articles and this guy is basically a subtle black nationalist. Im sick of these black racist and black nationalist running around on tv point the finger at everyone accusing everyone of racism.
Olbermann is a piece of shit, but Eugene Robinson is the last person on earth that should call anyone "racist", which he does very often. Anyone who has read any of his columns would know, without doubt, where he stands on the subject of race, he does not realize that it was GOD who made him a negro, but that he, alone, has made a racist of himself.
@gemini067 What the hell are you talking about. I've read Eugene's colums for the 2 years and there have never been any racial disparagements. Pat called the quakes punishment to the Hatians for reclaiming thair freedom from the french. None of you goat-screwing yokels can defend it, so you resort to posting diversionary comments that have nothing to do with the topic.
@funkbrother216 If you have read any of Robinsons columns in the last 2 months and you do not see the racial tone then you either cannot read, are an idiot, or are as prejudiced as he.
@gemini067 I've read Robinson's columns for years. Any column about race is going to have a racial tone, idiot. Just because you choose not to see race doesn't mean it isn't there. Also, just because somebody else recongnizes race as a factor in a situation doesn't mean that they see race in every situation. This is knee-jerk contrarianism on your part.
@funkbrother216 Make up your mind, first you state Robinson is not racial, then come back with there is a racial tone. I have never met a person, other than negro, as conscience of color or race, and I do know that among negroes complexion, facial features and hair, are factors in association, and if you do not believe me, go to a negro college, that will open your eyes.
@gemini067 "Anyone who has read any of his columns would know..."
Which would immediately disqualify you.
From your mindless, race-fueled rant, it's clear you have NEVER read a column by Eugene Robinson in your life. And more than likely, you've never read a column by anyone who doesn't host a show on FIXED News
@HNK222 To say that I, or anyone you disagree with, on the basis that only you have read Robinsons column, is inane. Why would you think only negroes would follow his rants, such as on the "b" or "n" word, which 99% of negroes use continually, as I believe Robinson is aware of, and if not, should not be calling others racist.
Oldumber and the rest of the scumbag leftists hides behind the privilege of his office and lobs insults to his opposition via campaign red meat without being able to explain one iota of the merits of this legislation
The other quote from Huffington Post : "As if that weren't enough, Limbaugh also pivoted off a caller who complained about Obama directing the public to the White House website to find charitable organ-izations operating in Haiti to promote a conspiracy theory that finding these charities via the White House website puts your money at risk of not reaching Haitians. Limbaugh also seems to feel we've done enough already for Haiti: "We've already donated to Haiti. It's called the U.S. income tax."
@CommonSenseJoe@CommonSenseJoe this is the quote from Huffington Post: "...Well, it didn't take long for conservative firebrand Rush Limbaugh to use the crisis in Haiti to attack President Obama politically. On his radio show yesterday Limbaugh said the earthquake in Haiti will play right into Obama's hands by allowing him to play up his "compassionate" and "humani- tarian" credentials, and that the President will use this crisis to "boost his credibility with the black community." Not racist?
LMAO.....and I thought black people like Obama no matter what he does!! Now he's saying he's using it to boost his credibility with the black community!! Pick a side!! lol
He is tabloid news. So, when the quake in Haiti happened, the Red Cross asked Michelle Obama to make a video requesting donations for the Red Cross. It went directly to the Red Cross. But he (this is what he does) ASKED, "How do you know your contributions aren't being funneled off into a slush fund to go into Obama's re-election campaign? How do you know for sure where your money is going?" When he was accused of being a lying asshole, he said, "I never told anyone not to donate!" He is scum.
And the devil said, "Okay, it's a deal." Really and who was there to witness that? Rush Limbaugh would have been fired if he wasn't his own boss. Limbaugh implied that the Michele Obama was skimming money from donations from the Red Cross donations and funneling it into Obama's political campaing. He is a worthless mess. Haiti while listening to the video plea for help that she recorded for the Red Cross. Who told you you had common sense? You should be ManipulatedByOldRacistsJoe.
The devil said, "OK, it's a deal." He knows since he was there at the time. If there is a devil and a hell, they have already reserved a special place for both of these demented self -inflated racist lowest of the low examples of the worst possible aspects of a human being. I hope the ground opens up and swallows both of them so we can say, "Well, you shouldn't have been trying to speak for God, he didn't ask you to be his representitive. You took that on yourself."
wow i cant stand stupid mean liberals at msnbc no wonder there ratings are so low if they cant report the race card they have noting. and i dont want to hear about unbias oppinions from them, they have one mean liberal agenda
And you believe people who will go to the trouble of risking getting caught faking an election are afraid to lie about their ratings? Condemning a whole nation to Robertson's congregation of blind followers (and the people who listen to him are the type who believe professional wrestling is real, and believe every word in the bible is historically correct) and blaming them for a natural occurance during a time when all they need is compassion was a nice act? You are truly delusional.
Is English a second language for you? You want to enter a discussion about some people who one has a forty year history of being a racist and the other uses his supposed "ministry" to spread hate and You think that the liberals who are sick of it and finally are speaking up about it are the ones with an agenda? Are you drunk or what? I remember when Keith Olbermann was a young idealistic Republican. That is the part you don't understand. Most liberals now are ex conservatives with a brain.
Oh, and you have someone who you think is an authority, who is decidedly an arrogant, senile old poop who has been told he speaks for "GOD" for so long he believes it, saying that the devil said something that he can quote and then says, "I't;s a true story", this man is so full of years of his own bullshit that he is beginning to believe himself.
I never said I agreed with Pat or that he was my authority in anything. What I am saying is that liberals need to shut up until they do, at least, 1% of the good that Pat's group has been doing in Haiti for decades. Someday I hope I am in the same room with Keith and can straighten him out on hypocritical attacks on others. He could care less about the hundreds of people dying in Haiti. All he wants is to cash in on their tragedy and build his rating by misrepresenting what Pat and Rush said
Keith's ratings have gone down because he doesn't agree with American Haters who take the time to go vote on polls. Do you think a liberal takes the time to go vote on Hate Polls? Why would we bother, we are busy reading something positive for our own lives, not trying to hate others.
please stop replying to my most awesome text comments it makes u look super gay and i dont want homos commenting on my text so next time just read it, agree and go move on
"I want you to remember it took him [Obama] three days, three days to respond to the Christmas Day, Fruit of Kaboom bomber. Three days. And when he came out after those three days he was clearly irritated that he had to do it. He didnt want to do it. Ahh, he comes out here in less than 24 hours to speak about Haiti."
How can any assertions about racism be deduced from these words, shown on this clip?
Must kill you how Rush continues to make an idiot of himself. You... do know that's what this video is about, right? You're not just reacting like a rightie attack-dog, right? i.e. "Is that Olberman..? THAT'S OLBERMAN! ARFARFARFARFARF!!! WHAT'S HE SAYING? I'M NOT SURE! ARFARFARFARFARF!!!"
Put down the crack pipe you retard. Olberman is a self-rightous pompous asshole. He's quick with the toungue and disguises that for intelligence. He is not a journalist but rather a self promoter, just like fatboy Rush but on the other side. Wake up stupid.
Let me see, crackpipe, self-righteous pompous asshole, quick with tongue (sorry I corrected your spelling) disguises that for intelligence, fatboy, and wake up stupid. What an eloquent point, how admirable your discussion is and all those swift intelligent arguments you have. We really know what your point is by that, don't we? If you don't have a counterpoint you aren't arguing. you are merely TRYING to annoy. This was about Pat Robertson, HELLO!
Oh, I see, you want me to get angry and act like an asshole who doesn't know how to say anything but insults with no point, I can see that is your job.
Olbermann many be many things, but a fool he is not. No political commentator should ignore the absurd comments of people with as many followers as has Roberson or Rush.
Robertson used a false fable to trivialize 110,000 deaths, and Rush used it as an opportunity make a racist remark. It is they you should be calling fools -- they and they people who believe such nonsense.
@LarcheOsborne Obermann is a politcal hack, not a commentator. What Robertson said was his opinion about why Haiti has never been successful as a nation. I don't agree with his view, but NOTHING he said trivialize anyone's death. You are just flat wrong about that.
Nothing Rush said was racist either. He made the point that the President would use this for his own political purposes. Nothing about that is racist unless you think Reid is a racist for his "light skinned black" remark.
joe-typical of a dittohead. limbaugh is christ and can do wrong. the president is not doing this for his own political purposes. furthermore, rush limbaugh could broadcast with a dominican republic prostitute sticking his fist up limbaugh's arse and dittoheads would say, "well, it is his studio. he has the right" i wish for once soome one would have the fucking balls to stand up and say "no, rush, you're wrong". joe obviously won't. he needs to remove the common sense prefix.
I have disagreed with Rush on lots of issues. I just won't let fools like Oblermann mis-characterize what he said as racist. It was not and even Keith knows. He link to comments by two different people together as if they somehow related. He totally misses the point of what they said. He then goes and does exactly what he is accusing them of. If you cannot see that then you need a little common sense.
"They made a pact with the devil. and the devil said OK." Yeah, the devil talks to peole directly over a P.A. System so other people can hear him say, "OK, I will."' That makes sense, if you are completely delusional and cracked out.
It is that "delusional" thinking that had Pat's organization feeding, clothing, and caring for the people of Haiti long before you even thought about the country. Thousands have been dying there for decades and no one cared but the Christian community who have been helping them. You know, we will still be there long after you and people like have moved on the next cause of the day.
He said that voters only voted for Obama because he is black. Most Republicans who voted for Obama did it because of the alternative. I voted for the smart guy. Until the Repubican party can figure out lies and slander aren't issues, they will never win again. Republicans are like someone who went to a lousy play, payed a big admission, and don't want to admit the play sucked and that they were stupid for buying it. After a while they do admit it and then there are less Republicans.
They did because candidate Obama lacked any consistency or substance to his message. Those Republicans, like Colon Powell, wanted a moderate candidate. John McCain was about a moderate as they come. He was everything Powell said he wanted in a candidate, and yet Powell endorsed Obama. Obama's race had to be the deciding factor.
Joe, I do believe Reid was wrong in his remarks; I play no favorites when it comes to racial remarks. I would love to see Reid replaced by a liberal Democrat in the upcoming election. Unlike Reid, however Rush has a long history of disdain for and racist remarks about people of African ancestry.
Stupid, harmful remarks such as those expressed by Pat Robertson merit abuse. Once he states his opinion on television, it is fair game. What if I announced my opinion that Roberson is anti-Semitic?
Well, I don't. While I disagree with Harry Reid on nearly everything I think what he said was not racist but accurate. President Obama is light skinned and does speak very well. He can, on occasion, talk ghetto if he chooses too. Rush was simply using Harry's words to illustrate the hypocrisy on the Left.
You do not have to agree with what Pat said. I certainly don't. However, NOTHING in what he said was racist or in ANYWAY diminished the loss in Haiti. You could have that opinion.
Joe, the president reacted to the tragedy in the exact same manner that a Republican or any other decent human being would have. Still, Rush claimed that the president was only using the earthquake as a means of shoring up his support among "light-skinned" and "dark-skinned" African-Americans, a group that already supports him by well over 90%. Rush's statement was both stupid and racist. Nor is this Rush's first racist rant as I'm sure you know. (continued)
I not sure what you mean by "talking ghetto," but Obama speaks flawless English.
I spend over ten years working at public schools in very poor communities on the Southside of Chicago. 100% of my students were African-Americans. I spent much of this time teaching students to write and speak standard English. I was exposed to the students method of talking long than Obama ever was. I know that Obama can talk informally just as you and I can, but he does not talk ghetto, (continued)
Robertson's speech may have well diminished the amount of aid received by hapless Haitians. Older Christians often watch his show. Many may have been prepared to donate money, but after hearing Roberson's imply that Haitians were being punished by God or perhaps even serving the Devil, many of Robertson's followers may have closed their wallets. Robertson's statement was untrue and harmful.
Remember, terrorist justify their actions by saying we serve the devil. We should never act like them
You did not listen to what he said did you? Had you listen to ALL he said, you would have known he was encouraging people to donate. You did not have to agree with what he said, but it harmed no one. Robertson's organization has been working in Haiti for DECADES. They have been there long before it had become fashionable to support them. They have been dying by the thousands for years. The only difference now is that this event includes both the rich and the poor, the black and the white,
You know what I mean so don't play dumb. You know what ghetto talk is. Listen to any popular rap song and you will get a good sample. Someone even tried to give it respectability calling it "Ebonics".
I did not say he talked ghetto. I said he could talk ghetto if he wanted to.
Rush said he would use it, and he has. President Obama is a political opportunist. Nothing in what Rush said diminished the tragedy or the suffering of the Haitian people. Rush was illustrating absurdity by being absurd.
I have never heard a racist rant by Rush. He deals with the issue of race head-on. He is not afraid to take on the race issue and those who use it for personal gain. The problem with racism in this country is the blatant lies used to sell it to people.
President Obama has done the exact thing I would expect any president to do under the circumstances. He made the public aware of the magnitude of the tragedy. He used national resources available to prevent additional deaths, and encouraged private donations. Finally, he made two former presidents, one Republican (G. W, Bush) and one Democratic (Clinton), to head up the rescue effort, thus making it as non-partisan as possible. What should the president have done instead? (continued)
It is not over yet. Obviously, the President was going to do something. He will continue to use this tragedy to his advantage political, even if nothing more than a distraction.
How exactly is the president using this tragedy to his advantage? What should you have done differently were you president and were confronted 110,000 deaths and the need for immediate aid to prevent additional deaths?
You've never heard Rush utter a racist remark? I urge you to google "Rush Limbaugh racial slurs" Go to the sights that use actual recordings of Rush's words so you will not find a false quote. You will hear him using racist language. For example, in one, he tells an African-American caller, a woman I believe, to "take the bone out of your nose." That remark was clearly racists, Go hear Rush's own words yourself. (continued)
Yes, I know what Ebonics is. As I said, I devoted ten years of my life to teaching standard English to urban African-American students. Did you, perchance, think they were speaking French before they learned standard English? When did you ever hear Obama speak Ebonics? Please message me with a website containing a video or recording.
I find Rush's remark about "light-skinned blacks and dark-skinned blacks" to be racist. I have worked in African-American communities for over ten years. My home is within an African-American community. My wife is African-American. Africans-Americans are, as a whole, solidly united behind Obama, regardless of the shade of their skin. (continued)
I have met very dark complected African-Americans, and I met a African-American with skin as light as mine, blue eyes, and naturally blond hair. All considered themselves to be African-American. Their support for Obama did nor vary because of the shade of their skin. Rush is trying to create a racial divide where none exists. (comment)
And in doing this, he is demeaning the fact that 110,000 have died. Furthermore, he discouraged people from sending aid that might be needed to save more lives -- black lives.
I will comment briefly on Rush's use of the word "Negro." I am sure Rush knows this term is disliked and considered insulting by most African-Americans. I rare see it in current use except in certain academic works where it may appropriately apply. It is insulting to refer to African-Americans in racially insulting terms.
If Rush "hardly ever even mentioned the fact that the people of Hatai are black," that means he did mention it. But of course, that was the entire point of his lie, wasn't it? He suggested that by helping the people of a black nation, Obama would unite the support of African-Americans. (continued)
And no, it is not ok to use racial slurs in music. The use of racial slurs are virtually always wrong.
But let me ask you a question. If your wife jokingly call you her "cracker boy," would it carry the same connotation if an angry black man called you a "cracker boy?"
I still believe the use of racial slurs is wrong, but some some consideration should be used to place the slur in context.
""cracker boy," would it carry the same connotation if an angry black man called you a "cracker boy?""
Yes. The term "cracker" is a slur against southern whites. Just like the word "nigger" is a slur against black people.
"but some some consideration should be used to place the slur in context"
I agree. Which is why I point out the hypocricy of labeling Limbaugh while H. Reid, Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton get free passes. Rush is taken out of context. The others aren't.
I've never supported, endorsed, or approved of Reid, Jackson, or Sharpton. In fact, I've denounced all three. I'm not giving any of them a free pass. Why are you giving Rush a free pass?
I've beem listening to Rush for 20 yrs. And in all that time I've never heard him make a truely racist statement. Some of the things he's said I would never say. But he IS right about the way the left (not you per se) is giving free passes to prominent liberals who have made far more gross statements. And he's illustrating their hypocricy by deriding him for using the words like "negro," when others others get away with it.
"Rush is trying to create a racial divide where none exists"
I don't mean to interrupt, but Rush is creating a racial divide??? It so happens that it isn't Rush or the GOP that's labeling all opposition to Obama's policies as "racist." It wasn't Rush or the GOP who threatened riots at the demo convention if Obama didn't get nominated. And it's not conservative publications that are implying that your 6 month old baby might be racist.
I've already condemned Reid, and I likewise condemn Rush. And I should point out that Rush has been using the word long before Reid did.
As for Lott, what he did was much worse than use the word Negro. He stated his support for a presidential candidate that campaigned to make "niggras" (his words) second class citizens, legally enforce segregation, and who had once engaged in the statutory rape of a 15 year old African-American child. (continued)
So, after all that, do you really believe Lott's behavior equivocates Reid's.
Bush and his staff falsified intelligence to gain the evidence that suited their pre-obtained conclusions. I made a bet with my cousin, a conservative, that they would not find WMD in Iraq. The intelligence agencies of several allied nations, such as France and Germany reached the same conclusion. Iraqi behavior suggested it. I won the bet. Now we know that many American intelligence agents agreed with me. (continue
"do you really believe Lott's behavior equivocates Reid's"
Why does Reid get a free pass for saying something, in public, that Lott NEVER said (public or otherwise)? The fact is, there was alot of building-into Lott's statement. Inuendo & hyper-sensitivity aside, Lott never said he praised Thurmond's anti-civil rights views.
"I should point out that Rush has been using the word long before Reid did"
Can you cite a quote of this? I'd sure love to see it.
"He stated his support for a presidential candidate that campaigned to make "niggras" second class citizens"
If that were the ONLY thing Thurmond was running on, your point would be valid. What Lott was referring to was fiscal conservatism, strong national defence and limited growth of the fed govt.
I can provide an example of Rush using the word before Reid, Google "The Magic Negro" and Rush's name.
Segregation and White Superiority constituted the main and only central planks of the Dixiecrat Platform. You defense of it would be like a conservative praising Hitler saying, "I like his anti-abortion, anti-gun control, pro military, prayer in schools, anti-Communist, anti-union, anti-liberal, pro-big business, and so on. But that's all I mean when I say I like Hitler." Similar comparison.
Spike Lee is a great film make. He may make racial slurs in his art. Spike Lee has acknowledged the problem of black racism in his movies. I know little or nothing about his private affairs. (continued)
Rush, on the other hand, never condemns racism when it is discovered within his core constituency. I grew up in the Deep South, I have have known many racists. Many admire Rush for "tellin' it like it is."
Why does Rush never address the racism that exist among his own listeners? Because they vote Republican and make him richer? You tell me why.
"Rush, on the other hand, never condemns racism when it is discovered"
For starters, much of the "racism" the right is accused of is based entirely upon the left's careful doctoring of statements made by those in question, to make it appear racist.
"Why does Rush never address the racism that exist among his own listeners?"
Example? And are you sure you're not confusing racial insensitivity with racism? There IS a difference.
"If that were the ONLY thing Thurmond was running on, your point would be valid. What Lott was referring to was fiscal conservatism, strong national defence and limited growth of the fed govt."
If you didn't not know the history of the Democrats who joined the Republican Party because of Democratic support for Civil Rights or for their seating African-American delegates at the 1948 Democratic Convention, let it pass. (continued)
"I took this as a defense of Thurmond's platform"
Then you are seeing only what you want to see, and not what was said. At no point did I (or Lott) mention his segregationist past. How is it that Thurmond's past segregationist views become the only thing he stood for, while Mao's butchery of 60 million gets pushed to the back burner, in favor of his tactical "genius?"
I didn't say it did. Wilson simply proved himself to be a liar and a extraordinary rude person then.
As a young man, Thurman engaged in the statutory rape of a 15 year old maid. This resulted in a daughter. The story broke after Thurman's death. Then the woman admitted being Thurman's daughter, he called her a liar. Even after it was proven, Wilson accused of of disgracing the honor of a great man. There exist other examples of racism too, such as his defense of the Confederate flag in SC.
Yes, Rush is trying to create a fissure between common white people and common African-Americans. Why else would he come up with that lie?
No one threatened a racial riot to force Obama's nomination. Obama had won the necessary number of delegates long before the convention took place. The convention was a foregone conclusion. Most, if not all, elected delegates are bound to vote for the candidate they stood for in the primaries on the first ballot. Obama had already won. (continued)
Rush lied when he announced that Obama's efforts to help Haiti were motivated by a desire to shore up his support among "light-skinned" and "dark-skinned" African-Americans.
If Sharpton did, it simply offers further evidence that he is a fool. Obliviously no one took him seriously. I live on Chicago's Southside in an African-American community. I'm not sure if there's a white person living within a mile of me. There was no talk of a riot here. (continued)
Appropriate change where change is needed is always a good thing. Bush left us engaged in two wars (one of which was launched under false pretenses) and a rescission from which it may take years to recover. Bush all made, for example, some very bad administrative rules on the environment for the benefit of big business. It was a good change to reverse these decisions, We were the 7th most popular nation in the world under Bush. Now we are the most popular. This is a good change. (continued)
We are 37th in the world when it comes to healthcare. We rank below Costa Rica. According to the CIA World FactBook, children in Cuba have a better chance of surviving to the age of 5 than they do in the US. You can google the CIA Factbook on line and compare the relative lifespans of different numbers. Why would the CIA lie about something like that? Don't we deserve healthcare as good as that received by 36 other nations? That would be good change. Or do you have something against Americans?
There are a number of reasons for Americans not to seek healthcare in Cuba. They lack access to medical information and technology that we possess. Don't ask me questions that you disagree with. (continued)
"They lack access to medical information and technology that we possess"
Then doesn't it become alittle tough to claim that Cuba's children have a better chance of living to age 5 than in the US?
"But what reason would the CIA have to lie about the fact that people in some nations receive better healthcare at a lower cost?"
For one thing, they're made up of people who vote. And can be just as partisan as anyone else. You certainly don't think Karl Rove was non-partisan, do you?
"lying about this because they are partisan liberals?"
Did you ever see the movie "Enemy of the State?" The villain in that movie was not even the head of the "NSA." However, he was able to manipulate large assets of that agency for his own purposes.
Vis a vis, the various depts of CIA can generate phony reports to bennefit a president or party's position.
So you think the CIA is a hot bed of liberalism and united behind Obama? That sounds silly at any level. The very same men and women who collected and analyzed information under Bush are still doing the job. The day-to-day life of the typical CIA employee, especially one engaging in such a mundane occupation as updating the CIA World FactBook , is not altered by a change in president.
Enemy of the State was only a movie, and the NSA does not even have the capacities shown in that movie.
Perhaps you never noticed, but the numbers haven't changed that much since Bush was in office. Go to a government bookstore and buy an older edition while Bush appointees ran the show, and see how similar the numbers are.
Oh, I think the CIA can be trusted on some matters. When I was in the military, I had access to a very, vary few bits of information gathered by the CIA. Has the CIA ever lied? Yes, and it still does. In the past it has been caught lying for bad reasons, such as covering up illegal activity. More often it lies for good reasons, namely to protect sources. (continued)
For example, you can bet that US intelligence has sources within terrorist units. When soldiers receive this information, the CIA will say it came from, perhaps, a satellite because if terrorists, who tend to work in small cells, learned the information came from an informer, they would be able to identify the informer whom could then be turned or shot or both.
But what reason would the CIA have to lie about the fact that people in some nations receive better healthcare at a lower cost?
Healthcare or medical insurance? Depends on your point of view. I like the option offered by the Democrats. We could buy into the Federal insurance system. We would save money, have pre-existing conditions covered, no limits on treatment. doctor and patient decide on treatment without having to clear it with an insurance actuary who knows less about medicine than a first-year nurse, and so on, while reducing the deficient in the process.
Republican congressional members have this option; why not call them and ask them why they don't turn it down and apply for private insurance like they say is best for you.
My insurance comes from a state government. I would never give it up for the treatment I received when when I was privately insured. My only complaint is that the government pays a private insurance company to administer the program. I wish they would save taxpayer money by simply paying my doctors directly.
"ask them why they don't turn it down and apply for private insurance like they say is best for you"
Probably for the same reason the Democrat congressional members don't. And you make a good point about paying doctors directly. Personally I would like to know why (instead of this reasonable solution) the Demos give us a 2500 page bill, so dribbling with legalese that no one can read it?
The Democrats also offered to pass a bill that would enable you to buy into the very same insurance program they receive, but the Republicans declined. Apparently they feel you don't merit the same care they receive. (continued)
No, the democrats have had a filabuster-proof majority since 06. They could have passed that measure without a single Republican vote. It's not the GOP's fault the Democrats can't pass their own congressional bills.
The Democrats offered this as a concession. They were willing to go for it. The Republicans refused.
You don't like legalese? Try reading your own state's legal and traffic code. I'm sure it's online. That's the way legal documents are written. I have a JD, and I did exceptionally well in contracts in law school. Still, when I purchased my home, I hired a real estate lawyer to review my contract. Never read Scalia if you hate legalese.
"Democrats offered this as a concession. They were willing to go for it"
I repeat. With a filabuster-proof majority, why didn't the democrats go ahead and push through the measure anyway?
"That's the way legal documents are written"
But it should NOT be the way laws are written. How can anyone claim to have an "informed" govt or voters if this is how their laws are written? And from what of the HCR bill has been exposed, there were plenty of loopholes, despite the legalese.
Statutes are sometimes overly legalese. The current trend is to make the writing as simple as possible to understand.
Nevertheless, examine your healthcare insurance contract, which was drafted by a private corporation -- not the government. You will find a lot of legalese and very many loopholes enabling the company to drop you with little or no notice, a life time limit on benefits, and so on. (continued)
Please tell me of the loopholes you have discovered in the House Bill. Please list where it is found. You might find that loophole is not as loose as it seems when you compare it to nearby parts of the bill.
"Please tell me of the loopholes you have discovered in the House Bill"
Most noteworthy is a lack of verification &enforcement provisions to prevent illegal immigrants from bennefiting. There's also the dramatic Medicare cut, which is why AARP is hemoraging members from it's endorsement. And there's also the fact that this "miricle bill" will still leave nearly 20 million people without healthcare. What the heck is this thing for?
There is no cut to Medicare. I investigated this charge myself. The bill saves money by paying providers directly where before the government had paid private insurance companies to pay the medical providers. Of course, the insurance companies had administrative costs and had to make a profit, and this resulted in less money being used on treatments. Under the new plan, providers will be paid directly and more money will be spent on treatment while actually lowering the deficit.
And no, the healthcare bill certain does not cover illegal immigrants, although I think it is stupid for us to not cover them. But they are clearly excluded.
You are overstating, I suspect, the number of people not covered. Were we a wiser nation we would adopt a single payer plan and cover everyone.
The years in which Bush launched a war without paying for it while he reduced government income by lowering the taxes on the very rich occurred in the first six years of Bush's presidency, during which he had a Republican congress. They said lowering taxes on those who didn't need tax cuts would increase spending and generate jobs. The were wrong. It and the war caused the budget to soar and the super rich invested their savings in over-valued stocks. (continued)
"They said lowering taxes on those who didn't need tax cuts would increase spending and generate jobs"
Well, according to IRS the fed revenue DID start going up in 05 (with the Bush tax cuts in place). And Bureau of Lab. Stats. reported that unemployment started going down that same year.
Look I'm far from saying Bush was perfect, or right. But facts are facts. The tax cut was across the board. Jobs were created, & fed revenue went up (not enough, but up).
How many of those jobs were full time, and how many were service jobs that paid minimum wage. How many of those jobs still exist?
Cutting taxes on the super rich is ridiculous. Most jobs are created by small business, not the super rich.
I remember Warren Buffet, the richest man in America say he had an employee making 35,000 a year, and thanks to Bush's tax reduction, that employee paid a larger percent of her income to income tax than did Buffet.
"How many of those jobs were full time, and how many were service jobs that paid minimum wage"
Suddenly it's the quality of the job that's important? Funny that such things never mattered during the previous democrat administration. This is an old sliding-scale trick the demos love to play.
"Cutting taxes on the super rich is ridiculous"
They pay 86% of all income tax already.
"Warren Buffet"
The man who would deny the same opportunities he got rich off of to everyone else?
You will be working at jobs that offer no benefits if you intend to scrub toilets or buss tables the rest of your life -- minimal wage, no healthcare, and no pension. Were I you, I would support candidates who want the poor to receive better healthcare, better access to education, and more freedom of opportunity. That candidate would be a liberal Democrat. By voting conservative, you are voting against your own interests. Look at a history of recent legislation promoted by each party. (continu
I have, in my time, come across a small number of wealthy people. Most of them spoke no or one foreign, all had lived in the US most of their lives, their real property was located in the US, their source of income was located in the US, their families lived in the US for the most party, and their loyalties lay with the US.
Common citizens are being asked to die in combat each day for the US. Is it too much to ask the super rich to pay a few percent more in taxes to pay for the war?
"Common citizens are being asked to die in combat each day for the US"
No they're not. They're being asked to fight. Which is what they volunteered for.
"Is it too much to ask the super rich to pay a few percent more in taxes to pay for the war?"
Eighty-six percent of ALL income tax is paid by these super wealthy. That means they get .14 cents out of every dollar they make. The poor pay no taxes. That means they get 100% of every dollar they make.
Young people often joined the military because they feel they owe a debt to their nation. That's while I signed up. I did not simply volunteer -- I owed my country a duty. The super-rich also owe their country a duty.
Bush's administrative decisions are a matter of public record. I imagine you can find most of them online. They were wrong. No industry should gain the right to pollute our public lakes and rivers. They should not be allowed to freely take lumber from national forests. Industry has no inherent right to pollute the air we breath. These areas belong to the people of the US, not big business and its lobbyists. (continued)
"No industry should gain the right to pollute our public lakes and rivers"
What companies got free passes to pollute rivers, lakes & the air? What rivers and lakes were thus polluted? While I do agree that forests should be protected, hyperbole & exaggeration don't cut it. The only environmental policy Bush touched, involved drinking water standards -to which (as I said) he simply restored them to the levels Clinton kept them at for 8 yrs.

Sick

Olbermann is a piece of shit, but Eugene Robinson is the last person on earth that should call anyone "racist", which he does very often. Anyone who has read any of his columns would know, without doubt, where he stands on the subject of race, he does not realize that it was GOD who made him a negro, but that he, alone, has made a racist of himself.
gemini067 1 year ago
@gemini067 What the hell are you talking about. I've read Eugene's colums for the 2 years and there have never been any racial disparagements. Pat called the quakes punishment to the Hatians for reclaiming thair freedom from the french. None of you goat-screwing yokels can defend it, so you resort to posting diversionary comments that have nothing to do with the topic.

@funkbrother216 If you have read any of Robinsons columns in the last 2 months and you do not see the racial tone then you either cannot read, are an idiot, or are as prejudiced as he.
gemini067 1 year ago
@gemini067 I've read Robinson's columns for years. Any column about race is going to have a racial tone, idiot. Just because you choose not to see race doesn't mean it isn't there. Also, just because somebody else recongnizes race as a factor in a situation doesn't mean that they see race in every situation. This is knee-jerk contrarianism on your part.
funkbrother216 1 year ago
@funkbrother216 Make up your mind, first you state Robinson is not racial, then come back with there is a racial tone. I have never met a person, other than negro, as conscience of color or race, and I do know that among negroes complexion, facial features and hair, are factors in association, and if you do not believe me, go to a negro college, that will open your eyes.

@HNK222 To say that I, or anyone you disagree with, on the basis that only you have read Robinsons column, is inane.

LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
@LarcheOsborne Obermann is a politcal hack, not a commentator. What Robertson said was his opinion about why Haiti has never been successful as a nation. I don't agree with his view, but NOTHING he said trivialize anyone's death. You are just flat wrong about that.
Nothing Rush said was racist either. He made the point that the President would use this for his own political purposes. Nothing about that is racist unless you think Reid is a racist for his "light skinned black" remark.
CommonSenseJoe 2 years ago
joe-typical of a dittohead. limbaugh is christ and can do wrong. the president is not doing this for his own political purposes. furthermore, rush limbaugh could broadcast with a dominican republic prostitute sticking his fist up limbaugh's arse and dittoheads would say, "well, it is his studio. he has the right" i wish for once soome one would have the fucking balls to stand up and say "no, rush, you're wrong". joe obviously won't. he needs to remove the common sense prefix.
rknprs 2 years ago
I have disagreed with Rush on lots of issues. I just won't let fools like Oblermann mis-characterize what he said as racist. It was not and even Keith knows. He link to comments by two different people together as if they somehow related. He totally misses the point of what they said. He then goes and does exactly what he is accusing them of. If you cannot see that then you need a little common sense.
CommonSenseJoe 2 years ago

After a while they do admit it and then there are less Republicans.
azmildman 2 years ago
They did because candidate Obama lacked any consistency or substance to his message. Those Republicans, like Colon Powell, wanted a moderate candidate. John McCain was about a moderate as they come. He was everything Powell said he wanted in a candidate, and yet Powell endorsed Obama. Obama's race had to be the deciding factor.
CommonSenseJoe 2 years ago
Joe, I do believe Reid was wrong in his remarks; I play no favorites when it comes to racial remarks. I would love to see Reid replaced by a liberal Democrat in the upcoming election. Unlike Reid, however Rush has a long history of disdain for and racist remarks about people of African ancestry.
Stupid, harmful remarks such as those expressed by Pat Robertson merit abuse. Once he states his opinion on television, it is fair game. What if I announced my opinion that Roberson is anti-Semitic?
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
Well, I don't. While I disagree with Harry Reid on nearly everything I think what he said was not racist but accurate. President Obama is light skinned and does speak very well. He can, on occasion, talk ghetto if he chooses too. Rush was simply using Harry's words to illustrate the hypocrisy on the Left.
You do not have to agree with what Pat said. I certainly don't. However, NOTHING in what he said was racist or in ANYWAY diminished the loss in Haiti. You could have that opinion.
CommonSenseJoe 2 years ago
Joe, the president reacted to the tragedy in the exact same manner that a Republican or any other decent human being would have. Still, Rush claimed that the president was only using the earthquake as a means of shoring up his support among "light-skinned" and "dark-skinned" African-Americans, a group that already supports him by well over 90%. Rush's statement was both stupid and racist. Nor is this Rush's first racist rant as I'm sure you know. (continued)
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago

We should never act like them
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago

CommonSenseJoe 2 years ago
President Obama has done the exact thing I would expect any president to do under the circumstances. He made the public aware of the magnitude of the tragedy. He used national resources available to prevent additional deaths, and encouraged private donations. Finally, he made two former presidents, one Republican (G. W, Bush) and one Democratic (Clinton), to head up the rescue effort, thus making it as non-partisan as possible. What should the president have done instead? (continued)
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago

Rush is a racist and a reactionary. For him to tell someone else to take "stop acting like some mindless caveman" is absurd.

"Rush is a racist"
I dare you to cite one example of Rush stating a belief in the superiority of any "race" over another.
"and a reactionary"
Change for it's own sake is not always a good thing. For example, Obama was certainly a change from Bush. But things have not gotten better.
dgonz26868 2 years ago
I find Rush's remark about "light-skinned blacks and dark-skinned blacks" to be racist. I have worked in African-American communities for over ten years. My home is within an African-American community. My wife is African-American. Africans-Americans are, as a whole, solidly united behind Obama, regardless of the shade of their skin. (continued)
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
I have met very dark complected African-Americans, and I met a African-American with skin as light as mine, blue eyes, and naturally blond hair. All considered themselves to be African-American. Their support for Obama did nor vary because of the shade of their skin. Rush is trying to create a racial divide where none exists. (comment)
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
And in doing this, he is demeaning the fact that 110,000 have died. Furthermore, he discouraged people from sending aid that might be needed to save more lives -- black lives.
I will comment briefly on Rush's use of the word "Negro." I am sure Rush knows this term is disliked and considered insulting by most African-Americans. I rare see it in current use except in certain academic works where it may appropriately apply. It is insulting to refer to African-Americans in racially insulting terms.
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
"in doing this, he is demeaning the fact that 110,000 have died"
No, that's entirely untrue. He's hardly ever even mentioned the fact that the people of Hatai are black.
"he discouraged people from sending aid that might be needed"
Again, he did no such thing. He encourage people to go directly to the RedCross site, instead of the WH.
"term is disliked and considered insulting by most African-Americans"
Yet it and worse are used freely in hip-hop music. But that's ok?
dgonz26868 2 years ago
If Rush "hardly ever even mentioned the fact that the people of Hatai are black," that means he did mention it. But of course, that was the entire point of his lie, wasn't it? He suggested that by helping the people of a black nation, Obama would unite the support of African-Americans. (continued)
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
And no, it is not ok to use racial slurs in music. The use of racial slurs are virtually always wrong.
But let me ask you a question. If your wife jokingly call you her "cracker boy," would it carry the same connotation if an angry black man called you a "cracker boy?"
I still believe the use of racial slurs is wrong, but some some consideration should be used to place the slur in context.
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
""cracker boy," would it carry the same connotation if an angry black man called you a "cracker boy?""
Yes. The term "cracker" is a slur against southern whites. Just like the word "nigger" is a slur against black people.
"but some some consideration should be used to place the slur in context"
I agree. Which is why I point out the hypocricy of labeling Limbaugh while H. Reid, Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton get free passes. Rush is taken out of context. The others aren't.
dgonz26868 2 years ago
I've never supported, endorsed, or approved of Reid, Jackson, or Sharpton. In fact, I've denounced all three. I'm not giving any of them a free pass. Why are you giving Rush a free pass?
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
"Why are you giving Rush a free pass?"
I've beem listening to Rush for 20 yrs. And in all that time I've never heard him make a truely racist statement. Some of the things he's said I would never say. But he IS right about the way the left (not you per se) is giving free passes to prominent liberals who have made far more gross statements. And he's illustrating their hypocricy by deriding him for using the words like "negro," when others others get away with it.
dgonz26868 2 years ago
"Rush is trying to create a racial divide where none exists"
I don't mean to interrupt, but Rush is creating a racial divide??? It so happens that it isn't Rush or the GOP that's labeling all opposition to Obama's policies as "racist." It wasn't Rush or the GOP who threatened riots at the demo convention if Obama didn't get nominated. And it's not conservative publications that are implying that your 6 month old baby might be racist.
dgonz26868 2 years ago
I've already condemned Reid, and I likewise condemn Rush. And I should point out that Rush has been using the word long before Reid did.
As for Lott, what he did was much worse than use the word Negro. He stated his support for a presidential candidate that campaigned to make "niggras" (his words) second class citizens, legally enforce segregation, and who had once engaged in the statutory rape of a 15 year old African-American child. (continued)
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
So, after all that, do you really believe Lott's behavior equivocates Reid's.
Bush and his staff falsified intelligence to gain the evidence that suited their pre-obtained conclusions. I made a bet with my cousin, a conservative, that they would not find WMD in Iraq. The intelligence agencies of several allied nations, such as France and Germany reached the same conclusion. Iraqi behavior suggested it. I won the bet. Now we know that many American intelligence agents agreed with me. (continue

Why does Reid get a free pass for saying something, in public, that Lott NEVER said (public or otherwise)? The fact is, there was alot of building-into Lott's statement. Inuendo & hyper-sensitivity aside, Lott never said he praised Thurmond's anti-civil rights views.
dgonz26868 2 years ago
Reid doesn't get a free pass. I denounced him without qualification. Why can't you do the same for racist Republicans?
And yes, Lott praised Thurmond's views. And let's not forget Lott's own links with racists in his home state of Mississippi.
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
"I should point out that Rush has been using the word long before Reid did"
Can you cite a quote of this? I'd sure love to see it.

If that were the ONLY thing Thurmond was running on, your point would be valid. What Lott was referring to was fiscal conservatism, strong national defence and limited growth of the fed govt.
dgonz26868 2 years ago
I can provide an example of Rush using the word before Reid, Google "The Magic Negro" and Rush's name.
Segregation and White Superiority constituted the main and only central planks of the Dixiecrat Platform. You defense of it would be like a conservative praising Hitler saying, "I like his anti-abortion, anti-gun control, pro military, prayer in schools, anti-Communist, anti-union, anti-liberal, pro-big business, and so on. But that's all I mean when I say I like Hitler." Similar comparison.
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago

Where am I defending the dixiecrat platform?

For starters, much of the "racism" the right is accused of is based entirely upon the left's careful doctoring of statements made by those in question, to make it appear racist.
"Why does Rush never address the racism that exist among his own listeners?"
Example? And are you sure you're not confusing racial insensitivity with racism? There IS a difference.
dgonz26868 2 years ago
I took this as a defense of Thurmond's platform:
"If that were the ONLY thing Thurmond was running on, your point would be valid. What Lott was referring to was fiscal conservatism, strong national defence and limited growth of the fed govt."
If you didn't not know the history of the Democrats who joined the Republican Party because of Democratic support for Civil Rights or for their seating African-American delegates at the 1948 Democratic Convention, let it pass. (continued)
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
"I took this as a defense of Thurmond's platform"
Then you are seeing only what you want to see, and not what was said. At no point did I (or Lott) mention his segregationist past. How is it that Thurmond's past segregationist views become the only thing he stood for, while Mao's butchery of 60 million gets pushed to the back burner, in favor of his tactical "genius?"
dgonz26868 2 years ago
Still, I ask why has Rush never never spoken out about the racism of Thurmond, Helms, or Joe Wilson?
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
"Joe Wilson?"
How is yelling "You Lie" to the president an indication that Wilson believes in white supremacy??
dgonz26868 2 years ago
I didn't say it did. Wilson simply proved himself to be a liar and a extraordinary rude person then.
As a young man, Thurman engaged in the statutory rape of a 15 year old maid. This resulted in a daughter. The story broke after Thurman's death. Then the woman admitted being Thurman's daughter, he called her a liar. Even after it was proven, Wilson accused of of disgracing the honor of a great man. There exist other examples of racism too, such as his defense of the Confederate flag in SC.
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
Yes, Rush is trying to create a fissure between common white people and common African-Americans. Why else would he come up with that lie?
No one threatened a racial riot to force Obama's nomination. Obama had won the necessary number of delegates long before the convention took place. The convention was a foregone conclusion. Most, if not all, elected delegates are bound to vote for the candidate they stood for in the primaries on the first ballot. Obama had already won. (continued)

Al Sharpton did actually.

The correct word you want is "racially insensitive." Racism is a whole other thing.
"The comment was clearly racist"
They're words not often used. But as long as they continue to appear in popular music/culture, no one can claim indignance.
dgonz26868 2 years ago
Rush lied when he announced that Obama's efforts to help Haiti were motivated by a desire to shore up his support among "light-skinned" and "dark-skinned" African-Americans.
If Sharpton did, it simply offers further evidence that he is a fool. Obliviously no one took him seriously. I live on Chicago's Southside in an African-American community. I'm not sure if there's a white person living within a mile of me. There was no talk of a riot here. (continued)

LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
"I find Rush's remark about "light-skinned blacks and dark-skinned blacks" to be racist"

Appropriate change where change is needed is always a good thing. Bush left us engaged in two wars (one of which was launched under false pretenses) and a rescission from which it may take years to recover. But what reason would the CIA have to lie about the fact that people in some nations receive better healthcare at a lower cost?
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
Healthcare or medical insurance? Depends on your point of view. I like the option offered by the Democrats. We could buy into the Federal insurance system. We would save money, have pre-existing conditions covered, no limits on treatment. doctor and patient decide on treatment without having to clear it with an insurance actuary who knows less about medicine than a first-year nurse, and so on, while reducing the deficient in the process.
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
Republican congressional members have this option; why not call them and ask them why they don't turn it down and apply for private insurance like they say is best for you.
My insurance comes from a state government. I would never give it up for the treatment I received when when I was privately insured. My only complaint is that the government pays a private insurance company to administer the program. I wish they would save taxpayer money by simply paying my doctors directly.
LarcheOsborne 2 years ago
"ask them why they don't turn it down and apply for private insurance like they say is best for you"
Probably for the same reason the Democrat congressional members don't. And you make a good point about paying doctors directly. Personally I would like to know why (instead of this reasonable solution) the Demos give us a 2500 page bill, so dribbling with legalese that no one can read it?

dgonz26868 2 years ago
Statutes are sometimes overly legalese. The current trend is to make the writing as simple as possible to understand.

What the heck is this thing for?
dgonz26868 2 years ago
There is no cut to Medicare. I investigated this charge myself. The bill saves money by paying providers directly where before the government had paid private insurance companies to pay the medical providers. Of course, the insurance companies had administrative costs and had to make a profit, and this resulted in less money being used on treatments. Under the new plan, providers will be paid directly and more money will be spent on treatment while actually lowering the deficit.

And no, the healthcare bill certain does not cover illegal immigrants, although I think it is stupid for us to not cover them. But they are clearly excluded.

Look I'm far from saying Bush was perfect, or right. But facts are facts. The tax cut was across the board. Jobs were created, & fed revenue went up (not enough, but up).

Cutting taxes on the super rich is ridiculous. Most jobs are created by small business, not the super rich.

Eighty-six percent of ALL income tax is paid by these super wealthy. That means they get .14 cents out of every dollar they make. The poor pay no taxes. That means they get 100% of every dollar they make.

Bush's administrative decisions are a matter of public record. I imagine you can find most of them online. They were wrong. No industry should gain the right to pollute our public lakes and rivers.

Administrative laws made by Bush just before he left office can be found online. Look them up.
