Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it 'grain' that cows and chickens are being fed instead of grass? The meat we buy and take home? (Not that it would be the only thing they are doing to meat sources) So what are they doing to grain that now makes it toxic?
@nessa4yisrael Genetic Engineering. Today's wheat isn't the wheat isn't the same wheat praised in the bible. It's for your best that you eliminate grains from your diet, because of genetic modification, as well as the instant blood glucose rise they cause, in turn causing you to store them as fat.. I've been off grains for 5 days now and my clothes are already feeling kinda lose without any other change!
@bfmvshinigami Nothing is what it use to be even 20 years ago, Thanks for the info. I was buying grain bread but interesting, I don't like the taste of it. Tried several brands. I guess this is why. Appreciate what you shared here, for responding and the links.
@Ice03333 They have gluten, but not necessarily the 'gliadin' Dr O'Bryan was talking about which causes the inflammation in celiac patients. Nevertheless, avoiding ALL grain is in your best interests
ok..ive never been tested but i saw a dermatologist for (what i found out after) yeast in my skin or candida caused by antibiotics(poison)..and he said im gluten sensative..a said how do you figure that..he said the skin under my arms had a dark tint and thats a symptom..now i didnt realize that it was so serious till now...so how do i not eat gluten..its in everything(bread, breading, cake, cereal, rice, even granola<<wtf) do i just eat fruit veg meat and dairy??
@hardhatg69 You can use other grains still. Rice has gluten, but not the 'gliadin' which causes inflammation and most of the damage to the villi. But it's still the best to avoid grains.
Really appreciating these vids. This was such an awesome interview. Really like the direction of your channel--Im learning so many things about how to treat my body, what to feed my body, alkalizing, juicing--not stop learning and being enlightened here. Thanks
Great, great interview. Many thanks to the doctor and you. That was a power breakfast he ate there, wow! 3 eggs AND beans and avocado...lots of protein and some healthy fats.
@MegaBreyergirl Still loaded with gluten. Ostensibly more digestible, and surely organic sprouted bread would be preferable to say wonder bread but it's still not acceptable for celiacs and probably ill advised for most people (as hard as it is for me to say that.)
I don't get how such an intelligent man will recommend eating meat. Sean covers a variety of important subjects, like gluten sensitivity and how GMO products effects us but he still recommends dairy and meat. You'd think a man like this would advocate a Fruitarian-Vegan diet.
Thank you Sean for this very good eye awakening video. I have been diagnosed with auto immune inflammatory disease, psoriatic arthritis, and reactive arthritis, I'm a carrier of the HLA-B27 antigen, I live a low carb lifestyle, I have lost weight, but I still eat gluten in some low carb product, such as low carb tortilla &low carb pasta,my finger joints are the worst because of my condition, I have been wanting to given up gluten and this really gets me to experiment more and my Cat's food.
i dont get it, im the opposite, I CAN ONLY EAT wheat and barley breads and stuff & If i eat white bread, beef, cheese, milk, sweets, fish, or corn i get constipated and the stool i have is really really hard......like concrete, If i eat anything other than chicken, peas and carrots or pork i have to take miralax with every meal.....the doc says its spastic colon but i dont know about that HELP!!
@sippysq You getting enough fiber in your diet? I remember once after i had a surgery, I couldnt eat whole foods and was only drinking milk and some yogurt... stool came out like a brick, so I puree'd some veggies and all was good.
i am all for a gluten-free diet, however i believe many people approach it the wrong way by choosing packaged foods labeled "GLUTEN FREE" with tons of added sugar and various other negative ingredients. I mean, theres nothing wrong with treating yourself to a sweet desert once in a while, as you preach the "80/20" rule, but eating real whole foods is the best way to go. organic fruits, vegetables, grass fed meats, eggs and butter.
I have ibs for two years I believe that it's due to small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. I was wondering if you have a flora imbalance does that cause a gluten sensitivity aswell? I have tried a few probiotics that made me feel worse and a digestive enzyme aswell with the same results. I have had all diagnositcs done and they have found nothing. Great video I hope to see more of this.
Please bring Dr. O'Bryan back to expound more on children with Celiac. We've got to show people the impact of our diets on future generations. Awesome stuff.
I thought this was an excellent video Sean. Thank you for finding such knowledgeable professionals willing to share their information. Great video production too!
