Predator 1 and aliens were the best films in the genre, although still predator gets my vote above aliens, I watched alien 1 long time ago, have to say so boring, I watched it again after ten years, and still is boring, and on my HDTV alien looks fake, it made me laugh, the most overrated movie, that's why there's websites saying it's really overrated, damn these Hollywood critics they got it wrong about alien 1 being 5 star

Compairing Alien to Predator is pointless. Alien (the first one) is a horror film set in space, its sci-fi horror. Predators is first and foremost an action film, with sci-fi horror elements, its first priority is not to be scary, the film is not built around this, were as Alien is. The first Alien film has essentially no action scenes in it. Aliens (the second one) is an action film with horror film elements. So you can compare it to Predator. But I think Predator comes out on top.

Wow, so many people here who praise predators by putting Aliens down. Let's face it - Alien and Aliens are considered to be Classic not Predator films. Best directors filmed alien films not predators. Alien films won Oscars not predators. And honestly, predators wouldn't even exist without alien franchise. They were created as alternative to aliens

I think Predator is way better than the Alien movies because Alien was basically really boring and there wasnt really much happening except for the 2nd one LOL. Predator has alout mroe action.

Yes, Predator wasn't as good as Alien but still Predator is one of the best movies of the 80's.

The atmosphere was really scary but I wanna admit that Predator 2 was no less impressive.
