How does the story not make sense?

It's an irony type thing. He shot a woman and assumed he actually killed her. He referred to the not-so-dead woman as a "ghost" out of assumption that she died. She returned the favour by hunting and eventually assaulting him back. Whether the man died or not can't be confirmed. The clip was spot on.

I thought it all made perfect sense.

Good start there are a few things I would say in critical review. The narration was good, but it is what you film relies on entirely. Some of your visuals tell us what the narration is saying so at a few points it isn't really necessary. The action choreographed gun disarm sequence is a little derisive to your story. It seems like you wanted noir but thought you needed to spice it up. Not needed. The beauty of noir is the slow dark moments.

Lastly (sorry just want to give valuable feed back) the grain at the end stands out too much. Try usin contrast and gamma controls to crush those blacks and if it was shot too dark it may be hard but try and bring it into after effects to localize some of the light tones and enhance those while keeping the shot dark. Everything looked awesome until those last few. I am not trying to be an ass or anything just from one filmmaker to another. I think you did an awesome job, but needs a lit tweek

pretty good, the only problem i saw was a fairly obvious one, the falling when she got shot. maybe im knitpicking, but i saw 2 steps and a very unconvincing fall. and if she just didnt want to fall hard cus of the heels or something, there could have been a cut to a worm's eye view watching her fall or whatever.

still a good movie though, 5/5

I liked it. The music gave the video a very bluesy feel so it wasn't scary so much as emotional, which is perfectly fine by me. The way the girl fell when she was shot seemed unrealistic as if she was shot in the head like it appeared, it's unlikely she would have put her arms down to break her fall. The sound effects for the gun and punches seemed underdone to the point where it might have been better to just let the music play on its own. But overall definitely one of the more well-done shorts
