I can't believe this is my first time seeing this race. This guy has 4 of the top 10 times ever over 200m. It's insane how much faster he is than everyone else. Wallace spearmon needs to get it together. He always relies on the second half of his race. If he keeps doing that he'll never medal again. He barely ever medals as it is. Always having to rely on a late surge in the last 20 meters isn't the way to improve. But either way, he isn't going to catch Bolt.
BOLT is clean idk wtf is everyone's problem... i can guarantee that he's probably the most tested athlete in the world... oh and as a side note he's BEEN Breaking Records since he was 15... he's gone under 20s for 200m before he was even 18... which is something few pros ever accomplish in their life times...

Because you get a money reward every time you beat the world record. That is, he gets money every time he beats the record, so if he would break the record with as much time as he could, then he wouldn't get as much money. Yelena Isinbayeva is a good example of that, she has about 27 world records in Pole Vault.
I think by doing that, he can make it as an excuse when somebody actually beats him, maybe saying something like "I didn't try my best, I could've though!"

If we compare him to other great sprinters, he should reach his peak only in a few years from now. Unless he gets serious injuries that would keep him off the track for years in a row, he has a lot of time to set his best possible time. Then, if he gets beat by 0.01sec, there is nothing he should regret.

When you are an athlete, you should train towards an event, and when that event comes, you should give everything you got even if you know you don't have to work to win, that my friend, is the the spirit of a real athlete in my humble opinion, and usain bolt has the genetics, works very hard (i guess) but doesn't end it by giving everything he has got.

He want's to break a record and rebreak it a couple of times, that way 1: he get's more money, 2: he establishes himself even more. In the world of sprinting, being overly tall like Bolt is considered a disadvantage because it takes longer to reach top speed. The reason Bolt wins races is because his top speed is faster than everyone else's. Notice how his first 30meters are always average speed but then he crushes everyone once he's standing straight up.

he made it look so easy, almost like a jog in the last 50 meters. A shorter guy has to churn a lot more strides at a quicker pace to just keep up .... which of course hasn't happened. How demoralizing is that.

When you are an athlete, you should train towards an event, and when that event comes, you should give everything you got even if you know you don't have to work to win, that my friend, is the the spirit of a real athlete in my humble opinion, and usain bolt has the genetics, works very hard (i guess) but doesn't end it by giving everything he has got.

no he didn't. I talked to somebody today and he gave me a good explenation. Wenever a world record is broken, athlethes get 1 million dollars. He want's to break a record and rebreak it a couple of times, that way 1: he get's more money, 2: he establishes himself even more. If he broke the record by half a second at once, he would be in the spotlights for a couple of moment, but afterwards nobody, not even he could break it, so that is why he probably doesn't give everything he's got.

actually mate the amount varies for having a WR broken. its nowhere near 1 million dollars, for the world champs usain bolt recieved 100,000 us dollars from the IAAF per world record.

In the world of sprinting, being overly tall like Bolt is considered a disadvantage because it takes longer to reach top speed. The reason Bolt wins races is because his top speed is faster than everyone else's. Notice how his first 30meters are always average speed but then he crushes everyone once he's standing straight up.
