@jamma222 both die quick and have potential for a lot of damage but as a warlock you rely on your summons on mage you just rely on yourself so... for first time players i would say mage

@0Dre010 Thanks for the comment. You're right with some points there. It is quite hard for me to do the correct movement when I experience the encounter for the first time, so I am much more inefficient as I am used to be in bossfights. When I have to make the decision whether I rather concentrate on doing high dps or not ending up in void zones I pick the survivability first. Those bossfight movies show the behaviour of me in fights I didn't experience yet. There's clearly missing the routine.

I loved ulduar really much , becouse ulduar was only instance that pug couldnt do in wotlk ... i loved progressing in it i loved hard modes i liked to see people wearing t7 and naxx gear and not even a single item from ulduar becouse then i sometimes thought how good times were in vanila and start of TBC where u had to work the shit out to get 1 item wipe 1 month on a single boss for guild progress.. i really miss those times and i hope cataclysm will renew them hopefully.good luck and cya

Why did u put this video up :S Is it just me or do decent arcane mages do far more dmg. I can get 23k crits with CD's in ICC25, standard dps is around 6k and when im doing well can go all the way up to 10k (single target).

Arcane damage isnt easy really. I mean we do exceptionally good damage, but it requires effort. We need too watch the buffs and change spells and be careful not to just keep spamming Arcane Blast otherwise were OOM. Frost otherwise is easy, just keep casting same spelll

it really isnt that hard.. You just need to watch the missiles proc. It's two buttons; Arcane Blast and Missiles. If your missiles doesn't proc within 4 casts keep casting AB, its a 40% chance to get it. You wont run OOM unless you are a fail. You should only use barrage when moving. Use your cd's during hero.. not much else to it.

So after typing a paragraph of playing arcane, theres nothing too it, and arcane barrage after missiles is a good rotation...Im saying how frost is much simplier, but low dps.

I thought using A. Barrage after missiles was good, until I realized it significantly lowered your dps. 25man raid buffed I have around 30k mana so I guess it doesnt really matter if my missiles don't proc before Four AB's. I can keep casting until it does without having to worry about mana, I guess if you don't have that much mana I wouldn't suggest this strat. Yeah I guess your right, even though the arcane rotation is easy I guess there is a bit to it.

Nice, just meaning it's a bit harder than frost, in addiitional work frost casts one spell, arcane need to cast more than one. In my view for me Arcane Barrage is fine, it's fast and doesnt slow my rotation really...Anyways Gz on the mage and all :)

It's pretty easy to deal a high amount of dmg with arcane spec, but really good mages are always able to get a bit more out of it. the difference between very good and very bad players isn't as high as at other classes/specs.

Affl. Locks can get insane AOE DPS, we were running alts and I got over 30k DPS for the spiders mods in the first part of Spider wing.

uhm ich finde schonma zum video sehr sehr nice aber arkan wie du meinst-dafür brauch man net mehr skill als für frost

arkan einfach slow und barrage spam-dabei bissel laufen und gut ist(im pvp)

im pvp mit frost muss man alles timen und cd's schön aufsparen da schaffste dann auch 2(3)v1

naja bei arkan einfach mit hohem dmgalles wegknallen

Von pvp war auch nie die Rede.. bin selber kein PvPler daher kenn ich mich in dem Gebiet nicht wirklich aus. Für PvE jedenfalls braucht man viel Skill um mit Arkan was reißen zu können. Der zeigt sich dann weniger spielerisch, sondern eher in der Skillung und in der Zusammenstellung des Gears.

Well, mage is not one of the most difficult classes in PvE but of all specs, arcane is definitely the one you need most skill for. That's due to the fact that hardly anyone is able to collect the right gear and get the appropriate rotation. Also you have to perfectly adjust your rotation and cd usage to your mana capacities to provide for max dps. With arcane you can be on top of the damage meters, or even on the bottom.
