Hi Stephie: I just learned of your channel from OnceUponaLady- Eva. I'm a 63 y.o. transgendered male. I never transitioned. Kept the secret for all 63 yrs. until my latest suicide attempt a couple of months back. Finally decided I had to talk about it. I can't tranition for a # of reasons. My challenge is to find a way to live being trans without transitioning. I was so glad to learn of someone my age who had transitioned! Hope you are well. Best wishes.
@Falseharpist Thanks. Dear, it is NEVER too late to live as your real self. I found the changes work just fine, and after transitioning for about 3 years, I am a whole lot happier than ever before. You CAN live as yourself, but everyones comfort zone is different. You may find that some level of transition makes you comfortable; you may find that as you progress, the need to live as your true self grows. The key is never give up, as transition WORKS at any age.
:0( I'm sorry but I can't stop crying, I'm so thankful to "ThisIsRyansLife" for guiding me to you. I thought I was the only 48 year old that was transgender. I just came out as FTM Transgender 6 days ago after coming out as a lesbian 17 years ago. This is the hardest thing I've even done in my life and I'm so scared to tell people. I don't know what I'm suppose to do next. You seem like such a nice person, I just watched your "Introduction" video and it made me cry with joy, I'm not alone.
@AJSSTUFF3 Thank you so much. No, dear, you are certainly not alone.Yes, this is a hard thing to do, since it requires changes visible to all. Nevertheless, it is also the most gratifying thing you will ever do. It makes THAT much difference in our lives.
@conway7734 Thank you for your kind words. Guess what happened to me today :0) I finally got all my hair chopped off & have a boys cut now-yippy!!!! I also went & bought boys clothes, 2 prs of jeans, dress shirt, sweater, t-shirt and underwear. WOW! did that ever feel fantastic to just go do it & I'll be changing my profile pic shortly. I also told a few more people and friends and so far so good. [that surprised me] but I had one friend in tears and she's going to miss me [her bff "girlfriend"]
@wmw1993 Thank you, dear. This has been/is an amazing and wonderful journey! When I made this first video, I couldn't quite hope for the wonderfulness of all the amazing and supportive people I've met. Hugs, Stephie
Thanks for posting!.... Good to see some older trans people around here.
Must be a strong gal to start your transition at 63... I am only 19 and been out to myself for about a year... I couldnt imagine having to life my life in the wrong body for 63 years...
Please take a video and speak of your Christianity ( youre maybe Catholic?).....I myself am Catholic and I suspect many trans people , as well as myself, don't care to do away with their deep faith simply because they are judged by othe so called "Christians".
Please speak of this...it will be so helpful and inspirational to others!
Thank you for the wonderful comments. I am indeed a practicing Catholic. But I respect all those who embrace what is most comfortable for them. For instance, recently one of the members of my Bible Study class (who was a Lutheran) decided she was more comfortable there. I certainly don't wish to offend others whatever their belief, or disbelief, but I will consider another video on the subject. Thanks again. - Stephie
