I like you. Your editing is wonderful. You should go to Barnes and Noble and get the 2007 Writers Market. You'll find publishers and agents in there. It's very handy.

Woah - were do you get all that energy? I reckon you will make it cos you are outting in the effort. I have couple of my own dust-covered novels under the bed (don't ask me why I keep them there). But here's a thing my writing teacher said: you need to have at least 300 rejection letters before you give up! So keep on doing your thing. Good luck!

yea that's really a last resort for me. None of the POD places I've seen so far have seemed appealing.

Not Publishing on demand...Print the book yourself (not in your garage-pay for the book to be printed) There are resources (some of which I know personally) who help people get their self published books into chain book stores. Distribution can also be done through websites (your own or sites like Amazon) If you pay for the print you get the profits and a better deal when signing with a publisher...

You're right those are two very different things, and the main thing that has stopped me from self-publishing is the high cost. So I'll have to look in to that more. Thanks.

Start with a mid sized print run and paperback. Novelette or graphic novel is also a good starting point. If you are not willing to invest in yourself either will a publisher. Run the numbers it may not cost as much as you think. Plus the profit is all yours...
