its easy just took some glue of hot glue gun and drill a holes on every side about hal cm long,wire it,and you are done :)

using the clear rods you can warm them till flexible to shape them too.. like going around light bezels on cars...

Neon lamps are called neon lamps because the light is produced by electricity flowing through NEON. You've got no neon in your lamp so don't call it a neon lamp.
