This sounds like countless throwaway jams of garage bands who woudln't actually make a song out of it because it is generic and dated. How this ever became an actual song or minor hit for a band Canadian or not is beyond me.

Lesson of the day: Go ahead and write some generic groove in a 70s music vein and throw some meaningless lyrics on it.. Oh yeah, don't forget about the 70s wardrobe and neckbeards (gotta have those!), and presto, you might actually make it in music!

@twopie2 listen to southern dreaming, they have great songwriting ability, and even if they didn't, structure is half of what makes a song great - lyrics can amplify it. Some of the greatest songs had hardly any lyrics to them. On the other side, I agree with you, because the lyrics are really what turned me off on this song when I first heard it.
