As for those who think hes great any right thinking human being knows hitler and his tisted followers brought shame on germany with their hatred and blind ignorance. The worst thing he did was put a gun to his head, it would have been great to see him tried and hung at nuremberg like the rest of them.

I agree with all of your post except for the last part. Had he not killed himself and his family, why would he have been tried at Nuremberg? Propaganda is not a crime, not domestically, and certainly not according to international law. It was wrong, but it's not a violation of the law. In fact, he was honest about it. He never called it news, or information, or facts: he called it propaganda, and the people still fell for it.

Why would Goebbels not be tried at Nuremberg?
The Allies and the Bolsheviks wanted blood, every Nazi that was of high magnitude faced justice. It wouldn't be beyond the Soviets to simply fabricate some reason to have him executed or placed in prison for the rest of his life.
Goebbels despite ironically the Jewish propaganda is still recognized as a Genius. His efforts to unite the Occident against the threat of Jewish monopolies is even more relevant in the world which we have adopted.

while I can't explain why he killed his children I can give some insight to his limping. When he was a child he had a deformed leg (don't know of what though). and had to wear a brace to compensate for his shortened leg, but he walked with a limp all his life. So because of his deformity, he was rejected for military service in World War I. He later lied about his services as a war veteran and misrepresented his disability as a war wound.

@NextGenJNL I'm pretty sure most of his fame is from his speech 'writing' not giving. He was a large critic of himself throughout the war. His 'talents' lets say were in selections of text for others ... namely the fool Corporal. He was pretty good at weeding out what was unneeded and placing a good line in to motivate as well. At times though, he could be quite blind to the public perception though.
