oblivion lost makes the game so much difficulter XD more enemy's less healing, but after playinng the game without it, it's totally worth it XD and that jamok6 oblivion lost makes you wear 80 nothing to do about it, he started skipping some seconds suddenly there is that thing in front of you and you shooting it, that was a schok 3:44 XD

A 50lb backpack isn't really that bad if you're conditioned; the game probably has a 50lb inventory limit to make the amount of travel you do without resting seem more realistic.

@obscurethought Finally,... a good comment. The weight limit is what makes the game a challenge, so the player will pick his armor and weapons carefully. A good mod should add to the game, maybe something that is missing like the grenade throwing by the np's. Moding the game to the players advantage is like taking candy from a child......

@JAMOK6 i agree completely, i hate the weapons deterioration rate, but it doesn't cripple the game all that much because like you said, the game i littered with weapons, but the really awsome weapons you have to wait till the end of the game to get unless you buy them and repair them yourself early on! Mods are fun man- specially after you beat the game a few times- its fun to screw with the games world!

I'm not really sure if I agree or disagree. I mean no, weapons don't deteriorate that fast if you're hunting with them or something.. but in the Zone? Walking through fire, anomalies, dirt and leaves blowing everywhere, emissions? Being attacked by pseudo giants and snorks? I'm pretty sure that would be extremely stressful on your firearms.

@HektorAnasthainomai I didn't experience any weapon deterioration rate while carrying a weapon thru anomalies or while being chewed up by mutants. Deterioration occurs while shooting the weapon or if it gets hit while you're being shot at or if the weapon is dropped into anomalies.

Right, I understand that. My point is that the harshness of the Zone pushes conventional weapons to their limit and they just can't be expected to perform as well as in controlled environments with regular maintenance. For example, if a gun is wet, stressed or full of dirt when it's fired, it will deteriorate extremely fast.

@imsososogreat Oblivion Lost adds game play elements such as the sleeping bag- game balancing stat changes, game world changes and AI changes as well as additional quest enhancements etc. all aimed towards a better playing better balanced Stalker. i recommend it.

not true, its a shader mod that changes fr the better some of the old shader effects in stalker... the first few releases did improve framerate, but later versions do not, they just improve visuals. Also its useless for Clear Sky as most of the changes in the mod are already in the game.

I only got it working with the OL mod. I have sorta stopped playing it because i know how it ends but I amd gonna get into it again. They need to come out with another soon. There is this new mod out now I guess that makes this game look and play even realer than this one. I really want that one. Your character looks as if he is floating..thats how smooth it is.

Really? Do you know the name of this Mod? Also they did make a new Stalker its called Stalker Clear Sky- it fully supports DX10 but i think they could have done a nicer job with the textures. Im jaded because i now compare every game engine to Crysis. To me Crysis doesn't even look that great anymore cuz im so used to it which makes every other game look even worse. Far Cry 2 i was hoping- was gonna look crazy good, but it kinda looks like the Unreal III engine and its water effects are terrible

There are other games that max out your system tha tare good. Clear Sky is the second game to be released but it a prequel of shadows.

The OL mod makes the game completely different. If i were you, i would install the realism mod to make the graphics alot better but doesnt really change the core aspect of the game play like OL does. Also buy a sleeping bag if u want to save any where like the OL mod allows you to do as well. Besides that its down to personal preference, have u tried to use OL? If you like its hit box detection better along with mission and gameplay style then go with it. But get the Realism Mod!

Hey klinci33- It all depends on what resolution your playing it on. The HD4670 is a soliddddd card with solid technology behind it. I actually just watched a review of it earlier today which is weird. Your CPU is plenty fast and you wont have to worry about CPU horsepower anytime soon for games, Most of todays games are VERY graphics card dependent, Stalker is no different. Your comp should handle this mod no sweat, as long as your not playing it at 2560X1600.

U think? Even without the iron sites, the assault rifles are damn accurate if you know how to use them. This game has a very complicated ballistics model, but if you know how to use it, then your good. But i will try to use the Iron Sites more, ill prably get more headshots that way.

Absolutely i agree with you 100%. OL makes everything darker, Makes Flashlights the only light source in a dark room, and just adds more atmosphere around every corner, basically its scary as shit.
