Every mechanical aspect of my truck was made in the USA at the Detroit Diesel plant and GM plant. The electronics like all electronics were made in some Asian country. My old 1980 3/4 military pickup has 300k on it plus. Original everything except for tires and shocks. Btw it can tow 15,000lbs with no problem. Can your imports do that?

If it fails to compare, I'll stick with my Dodge, if it out-performs it, I will likely buy one.... it is that simple. Either way it has some big shoes to fill!

Ford is it's own company, and own(ed) quite a few other motor companies.
GM is still it's own company, but is "owned" mostly by the government due to the bailout.
Chrysler got a smaller bailout and is currently undergoing a partnership with FIAT.
Hummer is a brand. AM General is the company that built the H1 (and HMMWV) and assembles the H2 for GM, but not is owned by them. Last I heard, a Chinese construcion equipment company is trying to buy Hummer.

the bad thing about putting huge lifts and bigger tires on a little toyota like that is, you dont put a bigass lift on your 4 cylinder car do you? then why to a toyota. before putting a huge lift on a toyota think about it because theres more to it than big tires and sky high lifts, theres also drive shaft problems, aliignment, steering, speedometer,that little 4 cylinder barely will push those bigass tires, and you run the risk of flipping over

with 5.29gear ratio you can easly turn 38 with out a problem and if u really want to turn them then you could get a dual transfer case also who care about the spedo, and for your tiping problem they make off-set rim for that reason and wheel spacers but good effort
