@godzilla1077 where in the hell did you see I said that, thanks for trying to put words in my mouth. I was saying he showed that a education was more important which is rare in today's time.
Class act coming back for his last year instead of jumping for money like so many one and dones in the NCAA, His Mother and Father had a big impact on his life and his dreams
Not the most talented player in the NBA... undersized for his position and pretty poor athelete in NBA standards... but boy does this kid have mad heart or what? He will make it just because he works harder than ANYONE in the league. He'll carry the Pacers on his shoulder one day.
Hansbrough great player, love his choice to stay at UNC and graduate but I dont' think he will be an all start pro probably more of a 6th man in my opinion.
As for the pick before him at number 12 Gerald Henderson awesome job at Duke but shoulda stayed at Duke another year then he would be more prepared to go pro I see it taking both Tyler and Gerald 2-3 years of bad seasons to get the hang of proffessional ball
i am a huge unc fan. i do think hansbrough is a talented player- no arguements.. but at the same time i always felt he was a little overrated and that ty lawson was an all around better player- i think tyler will have a similar career to wally szcerbiak- he will be very consistant but probably never the star player of the team
<3 tyler hansbrough. and no one can say shit about him because he was pretty much the most popular tar heel of his time and if anyone thinks other wise get over yourself. seriously.
Finally, the Pacers are gonna be back! They went to shit when Reggie Miller, in my opinion the best Guard ever, brought in a bunch of thugs. Now, they are gonna be at least a better team than they have been in a while.
@cad6352 Yes I believe that, because I lived in the city he played in and saw all of the things that he did for us. He was a hero to all of us and is still considered the best Pacer ever, my only regret is that he never got the championships he deserved, this guy was a hero to this whole city.
all i got 2 say is we just might be seeing #50 hanging in the rafters next decade at conseco fieldhouse. i wasn't too sure about larry bird after the artest trade, but he's back on my good side.
Really? And what position will he play? Too small for a power forward and too inconsistent on his jumper for a small forward. Decent athleticism, but won't wow people with it. He has a great motor though and an outstanding work ethic. He'll be a decent player, maybe 10 years in the league, 5 year starter. He'll be lucky if he makes an all-star team.
He will play power foward, duh!!! Elton Brand is the same size as Tyler and Tyler was better than him in college. So, he can play power foward in the NBA. Too inconsisten??? I can tell you didn't watch no UNC's games because Tyler got a good jumpshot. He had shot 51% from the field.
Elton Brand was good as hell in college, but Tyler is the all time scoring leader in ACC's history. So, Tyler was better than Elton in college. Heartbroker??? Bruh, I'm a UNC's basketball fan and I can care less, Tyler do anything in the NBA. I wish him the best of luck, but I can care less, lol.
Nope, he was better than Brand because he dominated the ACC since day 1. Brand didn't do that, so Hansbrough was better than Brand. Tyler is the ACC's all time scoring leader and he will keep that record forever, nobody will take that from him.
Right on Domini478!! And hello you who don't know Carolina basketball, can I give you a history lesson of the success of Tarheels in the NBA. And trust me, Hansbrough's senior year, Hansbrough played it smart and safe. He is going to be coming out super charged for his super career in the NBA! It is coming!!
Dude, I will be honest with you. I don't know about forever, but he will hold that record for a very long time. And yes, Tyler was better than Brand in college.
@Domini478 He chucks the ball and throws errand passes. The only reason why he's the starting power forward is becuase the Pacers other power forwards are not that good either. There are other power forwards around the league that are not even starters and they're much better PF's than Hansborough. I can care less about college hoops. College hoops has a bunch of busters where only 5%, if even that, make the NBA. NBA over college any day.
@godzilla1077 He is starting because he hustles and he gives all he got! He don't try to score alot in the NBA like he did in college. Do you know that high school players can't go straight to the NBA anymore? You have to be 19 years old to enter the Draft. Alot of players that has enter the draft are college players since 2006 year.
@Domini478 The reason why he can't score alot is because he sucks at shooting the ball. You know what the opposing defense do against Hansborugh? They let him shoot. And he misses more shots than he makes outside of the paint. I've known that for while about the high schoolers. But that being said, a lot of them are usually one and done in college and go straight for the NBA. Some opt to stay for several reasons, one of which is knowing what thier draft stock is at.
Dude, did you say Tyler was inconsistent in college? Which Tyler Hansbrough were you watching in college? He was the most consistent 4 year college player I have seen in a long long time. He won the National Championship. You can't win that if you're not consistent. He developed a solid & consistent jump shot in his senior which enabled him bang less in the paint. His JS also kept his defenders honest to guard him outside. Stop being bias. He's very good & you know it too.
@godzilla1077 where in the hell did you see I said that, thanks for trying to put words in my mouth. I was saying he showed that a education was more important which is rare in today's time.

you must be talking about a different Elton Brand than the one thats in the NBA.
You guys are going to be so heartbroken this season. lol can't wait.

How many years did Elton Brand go to college for?
kevinseveneleven 2 years ago
2 years
Domini478 2 years ago
2 years.... hmmmm
So basically he's better than Brand at staying in school ..... and that's about it......
Because Brand was a more efficent scorer at the same age, better rebounder, shotblocker and handled the ball better.
kevinseveneleven 2 years ago
Nope, he was better than Brand because he dominated the ACC since day 1. Brand didn't do that, so Hansbrough was better than Brand. Tyler is the ACC's all time scoring leader and he will keep that record forever, nobody will take that from him.
