yes, I returned this Nyko garbage to the store and bought some official wii hd av cables from Gamestop and worked like a charm

480p is better than the 480i you get with the original composite cable, but still is nowhere near HD (I know, I have a Wii with the Component cable, playing all games at 480p).
You shouldn't call this cable "HD-Link" because you do NOT get HD in the Wii with it.
