In all his interviews, he always said he leaves it up to the promoter or his coach to decide as they know best. He respect all his opponents as v.good boxers, past or future. boxers usually fight in a weight class where they rehydrate to about 10lbs (to 16lbs). that's why pacman is would be strong between light weight and junior welterweight. but is disadvantaged at 147- rehydrating only by 1-2lbs. that's why instead, odds are even when the bigger man goes down in weight, assuming this bigger guy takes care of himself, he could still rehydrate close to 10lbs while losing a bit of strength due to slight weight loss. dela hoya dehydrated himself during training camp.

I think in speed it would be 1. pac 2.floyd 3.mosley. But the margin is not much. It terms of skill... I love pac too but reality is. He had trouble with JMM. Floyd killed JMM. Mosley would KO JMM. I believe Pac is not dat analytical or calculative to pick who he fights next, agree or reject them. In all his interviews, he always said he leaves it up to the promoter or his coach to decide as they know best. He respect all his opponents as v.good boxers, past or future. They dont wanna fight Mosley at 147 cuz he's too dangerous there. and 2. Mosley's body cant drop to 143 to meet in the middle. He prolly could but wouldnt wanna end up like another drained Oscar. So mosley is too weak at 143 but too strong at 147. Me personally, bring a mosley fan. I still think itll be a good fight at 147.

it doesn't look like people are afraid of the pacman (except when going down in weight to meet him-- then they start seeing themselves beat up like dela hoya). but with speed, reach, and height- a lot of people would bet that mosley will beat the pacman even at a catch weight- but if manny wins weight and age issue will be the excuse. i'd like to see pacman against mosley (instead of mayweather).

i agree, the bigger guy, like mosley who wanted to fight pacman, should be man enough to even the odds and fight- to make things fare. a smaller guy gaining weight does not bring in power with him, just water (except the pacman when he moved up to 135 and 140; 147-- is too big for pacman).

like i said, the pacman cannot meet mosley at 147- roach thinks the pacman could fight with cotto or mosley but below 147- to even the odds out a bit. mosley has fought very strong opposition- the pacman, no. that's why it would be fair to fight at a catch weight below 147- so, if mosley wins- it's fair because he lost some weight- and if pacman wins- people can say, mosley is old and drained.

boxers usually fight in a weight class where they rehydrate to about 10lbs (to 16lbs). that's why pacman is would be strong between light weight and junior welterweight. but is disadvantaged at 147- rehydrating only by 1-2lbs. that's why instead, odds are even when the bigger man goes down in weight, assuming this bigger guy takes care of himself, he could still rehydrate close to 10lbs while losing a bit of strength due to slight weight loss. dela hoya dehydrated himself during training camp.

Mosley has more class than Mayweather Jr. He sounds humble and a real fighter. Im a filipino and I can relate to this type of personalility. PBF is a future fight promoter because he knows how to promote himself by building a hype before the fight. But he's tounge slips from time to time. He is desrespectful and lack of class. They should change Mosley's monicker to "the Truth" because he tells things as they are. Not like the excuses and self-glorfication comments by Floyd Mayweather Jr. I do think that Mosley has a big chance with Pac though just because of his power and speed (I'm not saying he's faster though). Notice he didn't even say that he was a stronger puncher than Pac. He just said he was fast too and it would help him along with his reach.

PBF is a very complicated person.He loves the drama and storylines, hyping himself and his fights up, playing the villain, etc.That's why many people don't like him.Because that is the role he decided to play.Not everybody gets to meet him....

Coz I'm not really into the pro-wrestling thing anymore. There was a time I watched too much WWF (when it was still called that) and started to think that other sports, including NBA was fake! Hahaha. When I watch boxing, I tend to think that everything they say and do is real and that there really are people and personalities like the boxers have. I have only understood Floyd these past few days because he seems to have 2 different personas now depending on the interviewer.....

I think it's ok for him to be hated just as long as he makes a lot of Money. Other people hate his personality and at the same time question his accomplishment. You are right, that probably offends him (or any other boxer) the most. But in being the best right now, i think he needs to fight a legitimate welterweight first to see if he still has it. The JMM fight is unfair to Floyd STATUSWISE because critics will not give him credit for it. I think that PBF is too big for Pac....

....If Pac wins, he will get full credit. If PBF wins, there will be some who may not give him full credit. But if Pac fights Cotto or Mosley first and beats one of them (just to prove that he can be a legitimate welter), then the potential Pac-PBF fight will give equal greatness to their won legacies. Floyd will get the credit he deserves because no one will question that Pac is too small since he beat prime, legit welters.

I think Arum has nothing to do with it. Arum and Hayman are the one's with a beef. And if their fight is personal, that means their egos are involved. But the way to skirt around it is that if PBF and Pac demand the fight if they really want it since they are the ones who really bring in the money. Their main problem is the split. I don't want to argue about who should get the bigger piece of the pie. Just make it 50-50 out of respect for what both fighters have done for the sport and get it on!

From what I've heard and kind of heard Floyd confirm is that the problem is between Floyd an Arum. Floyd co-promotes his fights with Oscar. That leaves Arum out of the loop.
That's why when Manny and Cotto are asked about Mayweather it's always the same thing, something like you have to talk 2 my mgnt. or talk 2 my boss.
Arum doesn't want 2 give up promotion. PBF can't demand the fight! He has 2 act like he doen't need it. If it seems he is pushing 4 it that gives Arum leverage.

....In the US, he's still the "MONEY MAY" villain who talks a lot of trash. In his UK interviews, he's the humble, meek and respectful "PRETTY BOY" that thinks before he speaks. I saw the UK interviews yesterday regarding his JMM fights. From that point on I understood him more as a boxing character. Outside the ring, I guess he's a constant nice guy. In the ring, he's a constant defensive master. But in interviews and public appearances there are different FMJs.

Then he takes away all the credit form Pacquiao's wins and glorifies himself in his ESPN interviews. I want him and Pacquiao to fight just because it would be interesting but I feel it won't do much for his legacy. JMM is a TINY fighter compared to Floyd. I've seen both in person. I dunno how JMM looks just an inch shorter than PBF, maybe he wears lifts in those dress shoes. But on flats, he's just around 5'5. And he's old. JMM is a very great fighter, but he's old and a natural lightweight.

Marquez is 5`7"!!! Though I've never had the pleasure of seeing either in person. I'd have 2 take JMM's word that he is indeed 5'7" lol.
But Floyd is really A lightweight fighting @ welter also. Floyd and Pac both started @ 16 yrs old @ 126Ibs. Floyd isn't bigger he just moved up faster. And why would JMM be 2 small and not Pac? The JMM fight is obviously setting up the Pac fight @ 143 pending negotiations with Bob Arum.
