Many Christian and Orthodox Jewish women try to dress modestly too. Pulling an outfit together can sometimes be overwhelming; given the selection in most moderately priced stores.

However,...If you wore your ensembles out on the streets of Iran or Saudi Arabia; you'd get ticketed, flogged or stoned! Unless you covered your clothes completely in head-to-toe opaque black..

I know a lot of Iranian women who wear outfits like this and outfits that are even tight and sexy along with their headscarves. Black is not a must for Saudi Arabia but most people just wear it to go along with the flow and not stand out. There is NO Islamic law that states that a woman will be flogged or stoned for not wearing hijab.

I can wear a tank top and capri pants or whatever - but only underneath a floor length jilbab. I try to wear pants outside and I feel like a freak.
