I really don't see why they didn't put in split screen, just like Criterion with Burnout Paradise and NFS Hot Pursuit. Couch multiplayer with these types of games is heaps of fun and adds to the experience. It's got nothing to do with strain on the system, Uncharted 3 has split screen co-op and works just fine.

@Gubatron814: Ok I don't remember if I saw that livestream or not. I have seen questions like that answered recently with slightly different wording. So while I would love to see Allegra in the game, among others, I see this more as Batty telling us what he is strongly considering to implement as DLC. I know that DJ Atomika is already in the game and I highly doubt at this point that he wouldn't plan to put Allegra and others in the game via DLC character packs.
