I've seen H&O perform several times within the last 6 years. I really wish they would perform this song. Unfortunately I doubt Daryl Hall can still hit those high notes.
This song was also relegated to being a B-Side as well. This song was the B-Side of the Family Man single. I always thought that the riffs by GE Smith and the keyboard riff by Daryl were really infectious. We can only wonder how life would have been if they chose to release it as an A-Side and it became a hit.
I had this very same pain out of sheer doubt - maybe that's even more painful than knowing - but this song helped me in a way to get myself together "maybe I don't want to hear it at all? - it's too far to fall?" or is it? When it all was over I could listen to this song as if it was an old friend who came to my hearts rescue.
This song is dedicated to all the dudes who've had their liddle raisin nuts ripped out by the roots by some two timin' filthy nasty liddle slut with killer tits and an ass to die for.
Almost as awesome as the other live performance available on YouTube. The first guitar solo of GE Smith from 1:57 is extremely powerful? His duet with T-Bone from 4:05 as well. Fabulous performers!
Great live performers! Saw them on this tour and this was an awesome song. Love the way it fades out to the drumbeats at the end. GE Smith was incredible! I wished they still performed like that. They've really mellowed out now but are still good.
I remember when they played this song, a girl I went to school with passed out. This was when most concerts back then were general admission. People were passing out like flies. Anyway, T-Bone pulled her onstage right before GE Smith's solo. When GE started playing, he knelt down beside her and leaned over face while he was playing. The paramedics then came and pulled her backstage. She was OK. I know it would be irresponsible these days, but it added a really cool touch to this song.
This was usually their closer after H2O came out. I saw them all through the 80's and this is one of the songs I never got tired of hearing. Then again, I never got tired of hearing ANY of them. :-)
This is Daryl's sexiest song yet . . . I'd like to see him sing it soft and sexy, like I did once a very long time ago . . . it was hot, hot, hot!! He's still a hottie after all these years - and hopefully soon he'll be a HALL OF FAMER!! He is legend in his own time!
Damn, that was amazing! Daryl's the most gorgeous thing ever. I wish I was born a few decades earlier so I could've caught this concert. The bass and guitar duel at the end was bloody brilliant.
Yes! Finally some more footage from this show. Please if you have any more put it up. I grew up watching songs from this show but this wasn't one of them. I've got Private Eyes, Maneater, You've lost That Lovin' Feeling, Your Imagination and Rich Girl. It's really great to see more, thanks.
Why didn't John do more guitar solos? He wasn't as flashy as GE but he could still put some notes together and he was a really good picker.

One of the best H+O performances I've seen. Better than the Rock n Soul version. Thanks again, kone!

I agree! He was fantastic as a live performer--just wish he had gotten more respect as a guitarist back in the 80's.

@dianel42 He actually lives in England, like 6 months out of the year or something he has a house over there.
Do a search for LFDH on the web, and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

There is a line in this song: "...Well maybe I don't wanna hear it at all..."
This lyric, and the melody at that point. It has stuck with me since the first time I heard it, way back when. One of my fav h&o songs.
