Awesome commentary Eric. There is no way to express to anyone what's it like being a father. I'm a father of two, a 3 year old and 5 year old, and have spent over 2 years now fighting for custody with my ex. Just this week I think I have finally made headway, and the thousands of dollars and countless hours are finally paying off, for my children. There's NOTHING a father won't do for his kids.....

Good for you man. I've got 4 kids now and it's great! Funny thing, I could count on one hand how may times I cried since being a child. After one year of parenthood, That number had tripled. if your sons pain gets to you now just wait until you have to start taking him in for shots...and the shots they get this early don't count, i'm talking about when he's old enough to kind of understand that he's about to get a needle in the leg (i said leg because that's where they gave my son shots when he was younger)....those screams are killers, talk about feeling guilty...even though the shots are to prevent him from getting sick....it's a killer, you feel so awful and guilty.

Aviator I am not a Dad nor will I be for a couple years hopefully, but my Dad is my best friend, he tells me everything. You will eventually lose your temper with your son though, as do every parent with their child, but it honestly doesn't matter what you say to him or what he says to you your son will always love you man. Take it from me a son of my father, we used to always fight, I would do something stupid and get yelled at and yell back, but no matter what I said I still love my Dad.

Hey Eric, I know exactly how you feel. I am a father of 2. I have a 31/2 year old boy and a 7week old girl. Being a father/parent can be very challenging at times, super frustrating. I can tell you from experience, it get's better in time. But I will warn you there will be more frustration along the way, wait till he start to teeth. No one warned us about the teething, it sucks. So all in all Eric, Welcome to fatherhood. World's best job!
