  • dude, you sound like a stoner. LOL

  • Dude you are a life saver man, I couldn't get my xbox to connect to the net for days. Thank you!

  • when i go to dmz hosting it says DMZ Hosting is not available while configured for Routed IP WAN (Routed Bridge) wht do i do now :(

  • Badass thanks man worked instantly

  • bro thanks a million this is much appreciated

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! "password" didn't work for me and I would have never figured out to use my serial number without this vid! Thanks again man!

  • Okay so I know my IP the kinda of router I have and everything I have literally tried EVERYTHING to get into my router to change it and NOTHING and I meant NOTHING is working D: I don't know what else to try.

  • @LiveLaughLex

Sikeeee I figured it out :D

  • thankk youu this was the only vid that helped and it was funny how i even have the same kind of router as you all the way down to the model lol

  • thank you. worked just fine, clear and easy to follow so an idiot like me was able to do it.

  • Ep1c

  • Should I have minimum security activated? Mine is on moderate. This is on the general page at about 3:31

  • @UncleGhus doesn't matter. mine is on moderate.

  • @supers0ak Disable DMZ and do static Nat instead it lets you choose a device from a device list so it will keep the existing IP and not change due to the DHCP lease time. also if you disable then re enable UPnP it will cause the Nat table to refresh.

  • u have linksys

  • so many terrible videos and guides out there, so this is refreshing change

  • @UncleGhus thank you :)

  • Comment removed

  • Worked perfectly. Appreciate the help!

  • I have the same router. Along with your steps I also had to go into Port Forwarding > Choose IP of Xbox > Choose Show all applications > Choose Xbox then apply. After that I finally had an OPEN NAT. Thanks!

  • when i try to log in to the verizon site it doesnt let me... >.<

  • thankYou

  • my fuckin password when i log in doesnt work (password is password) like the characters just double or some shit and it doesnt log me in and it really pisses me off

  • @TahPanduh lol it doubles for security its not actually changing anything you type

  • @RandomCoolGuys thats kinda gay.. but when i try and type in "password" it doesnt work-.-

  • Thank you Thank you Thank you so much :)

  • Do you need to set your Xbox IP to static? I'd imagine if we are inputting a specific IP into the dmz host that we'd want it to remain that IP.

Thanks for the video. Much appreciated.

  • @TecmoPoker You don't have to, but you can. And you're very welcome :)

  • i did everything and its sti;ll moderate can some 1 help!

  • how would you do this for two systems? a PS3 and 360?

  • @ooghostface you can only do it for one at a time, sorry.

  • @AcidRage56 :)

  • @supers0ak can this work for frontier?

  • @supers0ak Whenever i try to type in my password for verizon, it makes me put 3 keys whenever i push one

  • @AcidRage56 yup, it should.

  • Thanks this vid helped a lot.... And for ppl who creted a username and pw and forgot(like me) there's a reset button above the power button on the back that'll reset the pw and user name to "admin" and "password"

  • I don't get it! Haha I type in one letter and it shows up with like 6 more! I hate this!!!! I put in the appropriate log in Info and it doesn't go through!! I can play gears 3 but all of a sudden it gets moderate?! It wasn't like that before.

  • @ivanhezz27 don't worry about that, it's supposed to do that. I believe it's a security feature to protect people against keyloggers (for every 1 character you type, the computer makes it appear to be 3). Just try to enter your password as normal, and if admin/password doesn't work, check out the link in the description and maybe it can help!

  • Thanks for the no bullshit vid man :) NAT is open!!

  • @whatsername021 You're welcome :) I know right? no bs. only vid out there as clear cut as mine lol.

  • I dont have that Left Option Bar in my Firewall page. how to i access DMZ?

  • @anonforuz I explained in the video what to do if your router settings page isn't like mine. Re-watch the vid.

  • @cashcroppimp i figured how to designate the xbox as DMZ, but after doing so, it erased all other connections to the router (no internet). Leaving only the Xbox connected to the router. But then the Xbox couldnt connect to xbox live.

  • @anonforuz well, that is strange isn't it. O_o

  • i have the same router you have and i put in admin and then the password is password but when i start typing "password" it shows that there are more letters please help i cant log in the router

  • @MilRom9 don't worry about that, it's supposed to do that. I believe it's a security feature to protect people against keyloggers (for every 1 character you type, the computer makes it appear to be 3). Just try to enter your password as normal, and if admin/password doesn't work, check out the link in the description and maybe it can help!

  • @supers0ak It still wont work and I used the link and tried all the possible admin/password for my actiontec MI424-WR router

  • @MilRom9 Then find the reset button on your router and restore it to factory settings if you'd like (assuming you'd really like to try this to fix your NAT).

  • And does this work for linksys routers 2?

  • @iTzFusionSkillz dunno, try it and see what happens.

  • so when i do this

Do i have still internet on my laptop

or is the fully internet now for the xbox?

  • @iTzFusionSkillz it is on both u are just opening the connection to ur xbox to

  • Every time I go the the DMZ host it fucking resets my modem. EVERY TIME.

  • This helped me out so much. I have been trying to figure this out for a long time, and i finally got it. THANK YOU!

  • u save me life hahaha

  • @supers0ak

When to port forwarding, just open all actions. Select your IP for xbox, do down to actions to "XboX" and the ports that are required will open. I combined my method and yours

  • @LinkFan4199 for me and a good handful of people portforwarding just doesn't affect it in any way. glad it helped you some.

  • There's also a port forwarding thing pre-set for xbox just in case

  • i did this and its still on moderate should i try upnp or port forwarding?

  • @KuronoTorigaDS Yeah go for it, and good luck. There's no guaranteed way to open your NAT, this is just one that seem to have a fairly high success rate :)

  • Hearing the last 30 seconds or so of this is really important fyi!!

  • @rabbitfnord You can say that again, lol. I looked at the statistics for the vid and most ppl just stop listening after around the 4min mark. I don't include superfluous information, it's ALL important.

  • @supers0ak Yep lol for sure, I had to do a hard restart on my router which sent me back too NAT Moderate, It took me two days of "WTF AM I DOING WRONG?!!", and then....I watched the last 40seconds. lol

  • Thanks so much man. I've been trying since last week to chainsaw shit in gears with my brother and we haven't been able to connect. I blamed his xbox when it turns out it was mine haha. Thanks again dude. You're the man.

  • @rreay724 Glad I could help :)

  • THANK YOU! If I could I would give unlimited thumbs up!

  • Thanks so much dude. I was having issues with Gears 3, and this fix was easy anf it worked!

  • @matthewsch12 You're welcome :)

  • DMZ Hosting is not available while configured for Routed IP WAN (Routed Bridge)

    i need help

  • @lukesky36 I discussed that at the end of my video.

  • dude . . . thank you so much for this video. simple. to the point. well spoken. all that. great job. i'm guessing the views are going to jump on this vid since Gears came out yesterday.

  • @estrunk72 you're welcome bro. thanks for the comment.

  • finally found a perfect video

  • @ll5MAV9ll glad it helped :)

  • Thanks so much man.

  • Hey man, I did this on my verizon router, but now some of my friends can't connect to my games. Any idea why?

  • thanks bo. ur the best

  • Dude, I just wanted to thank you so much. This was all so clever and so simple. I was at a lose, I cannot thank you enough! ;D. ALSO I wanna thank "epicmovieproduction1" for your Reset button idea-cause I needed to do that to!. I faved this video and I would give it 5 stars but I don't see a way to do that, damn new Youtube, lol. Thanks alot! :3

  • Let me just fukin tell you, I have been searching for this video for a very long time. Thank you for making this easy to follow and with the right details and no bullshit.

For first time my nat type is fukin set to OPEN.

    Thank you FFS finally!

    P.S Halo sucks :P

  • Thank you :D

  • Thank you very much man! i was scared i was going to have to buy a new router!

  • I dont have a modem like you its diffrent its verizon and i can find the DMZ hosting but it just says off and on nothing else plaz help

  • Wow, it actually worked... how do you figure this stuff out? The Verizon guy couldn't even tell me how to do it... Thanks!!!

  • @carp5500 to be honest I read it on a random major league baseball forum i got linked to off a google search 3 years ago, lolololol. glad i could help!

  • I have the same computer and router as you, because i have verizon also... but im not really sure what my password is, do you know how to find out???

  • @Baseball0950 look the description if what i said didn't help.

  • @Baseball0950 what you can do is go to your router and hold the reset button for 10 seconds (youll need a pen, dont turn it off thats not resetting) and then go back to the url of the 192.168.... and itll make a new admin and password for you

  • @Baseball0950

If you want to beable to reset your password, hold down the router reset button for 15 seconds, then whan you access the page again it will ask you to change the password and username.

  • Mine says i dont have sufficient mtu. can anyone help?

  • i cant log into my verizon router account. ive tried everything! help?

  • @DMoyer91 look in the video description, or ask your parents, or call verizon.

  • nice and clean thanks!

  • your xbox footage looks better than in real life :O

  • Awesome thanks bro

  • I did this but my reach still says your nat is not open :(

  • @bobowishes Nothing is a guarantee, sorry this method didn't work for you =/ try port forwarding or the UPnP method I mentioned in the vid. There are other youtube guides out there for both of them!

  • Ok so I was screwing around with this crap and noticed I had 2 connection types that seemed to be the xbox.

One had 192.168.1.3 which was also on the connection settings on the xbox. the other was 192.168.1.4 that I discovered was the xbox by clicking on view device details on the FIOS my network page. SO i said what the hell I'll try 192.168.1.4 and see what happens. BAM open nat. NICE! Took a little longer than I hoped but it worked in the end. Thanks dude

  • @darkmattermediaPA Hmm, interesting and odd. Glad it worked out in the end.

  • I did everything and without any errors but I'm still showing moderate. Fios router, DMZ checked, 192.186.1.3. Have any ideas why it's still moderate?

  • @darkmattermediaPA It's just unlucky that it didn't work, unfortunately nothing is a guaranteed fix. Hopefully trying port forwarding or the UPnP method will open your NAT for you.

  • i keep typing in my password but it says its wrong! plz reply with solution.

  • @popbottleshoes well then you can either find the reset button on your router to restore it to factory default settings or calling your internet service provider and ask them what the password is.

  • @supers0ak it did that to me too. i did exactly what you said in the video, and the router reset the password on its own. everytime my nat gets fucked up, i restart it and it goes back to normal, but im tired of this shit. any idea on how i can permanently fix it or at least tell me why my router will go from open to moderate over time without anybody messing with the router settings?

  • @hortonhearsajew Do you know if the IP address of your xbox is changing? That could be what's making it switch from open to moderate, because if it is then the DMZ host wouldn't be targeting your xbox anymore if the IP is switching. If not, then I don't know what could be changing it from open to moderate at random.

  • @supers0ak it could be, but i dont think its likely because mine is always plugged into the wall. my brothers use a different xbox, do you think if they changed their ip then it may affect the nat?

  • @hortonhearsajew I don't think it would. I have 2 xboxes and one is on the DMZ host so it has an open NAT and the other is moderate since you can't give a DMZ for more than one device.

  • i did everything you said and I thought I had it until i went to DMZ host and then this popped up "DMZ Hosting is not available while configured for Routed IP WAN (Routed Bridge) " can you translate that for me or tell me what i need to do to fix it. plz reply quickly.

  • @terriblej1 I talked about that error at the end of the video. Basically from what I looked into, it means you have more than 1 router in your house, and the one you're working with is inbetween your xbox and the other router. It doesn't want to apply the DMZ host for your xbox because it's not the main one.

  • @supers0ak so what should i do. im horrible w/ these internet things..

  • @terriblej1 well, if I'm correct and you do have 2 routers in your home, see if you can connect your xbox to other one and repeat the process, and if not i don't know, ask verizon about the error and see if they can help.
