ISN``T IT IRONIC, THE "DIRTY MAN" NOTICED THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH WIRELESS WIRETAPPING (PATRIOT ACT) AND THE WAR IN IRAQ; WHILE THE WHOLE CONGRESS DID NOT!!!
Amazing Obama is in office yet we are still in Iraq.. not only that but we are starting fresh military operations in Afghanistan. Why are we not pulling out smart ones? Because its the only thing keeping this economy floating. Stop listening to your fag beetle music and wake up out of your dream. I spent 7 months in Iraq and I never complained like you guys. You guys aren't even the ones that are making the sacrifice and you are the first ones to cry about us being over there. lol ridiculous.
to get your president in office. You use the majority of the minority fan base that never voted before in their lives but all of a sudden came out of nowhere to vote for an African American president (rolls eyes). I would say get rid of all of you but I need people to work at Mcdonalds so they can make my big macs the way I like them. Republicans = real men. Democrats = gays, liberal, poor, cowards... am I missing something?
You're all so stupid that you dont understand capitalism and free enterprise is what built this nation to be what it is.. that and war. Dont give me this bullshit about how war is wrong because if we were in Iraq and gas was 50 cent a gallon you fuckers would never complain. Just like now. When Bush was in office every day on the news I would hear a 20 minute special on a sergeant that died. Now that Bush is in office I hear nothing. Why is that? So pathetic you use the death of honorable men
What's so honorable about our military on the brink of structure collapse? What's so honorable about not being able to fill the security holes in our border defenses against North Korea & Russia? What's so honorable about losing diplomatic respect that we worked for 30 years to achieve, and all of this as the result from the Iraq/Afghan/WOT wars
There is nothing honorable about all that, its called a necessary evil. I dont want to go to war, I definately did not enjoy sucking sand down my lungs while my fucked around on me but I knew it was something I had to do. We need to find a way to stabilize our government so that we dont have to go to war every 25-30 years which is what we have done since the birth of our nation but the direction we are going in is not where we need to go.
Exactly, I've been saying that for years, look at Pearl Harbor. It wouldn't have ever happened if we didn't send a blockade in Japan's trade routes and got in the middle of the Chinese/Japanese conflict, instead on immpeasing on global beliefs we need to respect their way of life, and if they reject our proposals of democracy, then leave it at that and look for other candidates
I agree but do you understand the trouble we would be in if we werent at war? You think a recession is bad? lol we are talking about a depression. The leaders of our country know this. Bush knew this, Obama knows this. Im half convinced the democratic party doesnt truly exist, that its just a puppet show to keep the american public happy. Im not even sure if an actual president has ran this country in over 50 years
No there hasn't, Congress runs things anymore, Presidents are just the scapegoats for public opinion as a diversion while Congress gets what really needs to be done done. Did you see the economy today? -250. I still think the window of opportunity to save our economy closed in 2006 when Bush vetoed any and every bill to help stimulate our economy as fast as Congress tried to push it through, I laugh every time I see a headline call it "The Great Recession,"
Funny democrats are the smart ones when Republicans make more money. That's weird huh. I would say natural selection would breed you guys out but theres so many of you poor fuckers odds are you just will reproduce and use your minority fan base to vote another president into office. Hooray.
Sorry Cenk I strongly disagree, we needed wiretapping, we needed to see what every American was saying and planning, even more now that Obama is in power with the rising domestic terrorism, and arms racing in the US, as long as we use it correctly we can still spy on psychotic revolutionists and still not have a State police, that's what the NSA is for
All you rich guys, Thank bush for your losses. Thank bush for making America hate Repulicans. Thank bush for losing all your retirements. Thank bush for killing all our brothers in a war for Oil. Thank bUSH for waking up the sleeping giant. Whats this communist crap you speak of. Everyone is brainwashed. Zombies! If you want to change poeples minds first show that you have one of your own.
look all you obama-nuts, its easy to look back and say bush is bad and this and that but i bet after 9/11 you were the same ones who wanted war. Its ok just wait until the end of the obama years and we will see who made the wrong decision when our economy is gone and so is the country that we know and love.
Of course we wanted justice and protection! But Bush undermined the 4th amendment, broke the law, lied to the American people, and waged an unjust war. He used the 911 tragedy as a device to invade Iraq--a country who did not have ties to Al Queda until AFTER we invaded--- which posed no real imminent threat. George Bush will burn in hell.
No matter what any present or future president does, Bush already proved his incompetence to run a country. You Bush supporters just need to throw in the flag already and admit how stupid and non productive you were for voting for a idiot. Stop defending him. You are only make a fool out of yourself.
You Republicans just don't get it....you can go away now. Your way doesn't work, there's a reason most college educated people vote Democrat and most toothless hicks who work at the feed store vote Republican. We're smart and you're dumb....the end.
I'm sorry but if you think we are going let you turn this country into some kind of communist utopia then you have another thing coming. Keep listening to NBC. They will tell you that everything is great nevermind reality of two quarters of -5% growth.
Yeah that's exactly what we want, communism and socialism, we also want to destroy America. You're so dumb it's painful; try spending less time jerking off to right wing radio and go read a book or something. I dream of the day when you toothless right wing hicks are extinct. I wish you'd all kill yourselves because all you do is make our country dumber.
You're right I guess we should all be gay liberal democrats who do nothing to better themselves and always want the government to pay for their needs. Sign me up for that.
Right. Is that why my father is a right winger.... he's also a christian and hes got a masters degree and makes over 80 k plus a year? uhmm what do you do again? Oh thats right.. whine.
shit making 80k a year, how is that shocking he's a right winger and Christians, he's republican because he benefits from taxing peasants with the tax cut revenue he gets and likes to hold up his bible all the time because it makes him feel like god/pope
My father grew up dirt poor with an abusive father. He was the only one in the family to go to college and he worked his way up like a hard working man would do. Everything he has he built on his own. Why should he pay for you? huh? Why should he pay for some druggie who dropped out of highschool flipping fries. Please entertain me with that thought.
Excuse me, I'm not a fry flipper, and 2nd I am currently studying for a degree as we speak where I'll be making 200k with a future gov job, so back off! And 3rd, a person with his kind of wealth should feel obligated to pay taxes so that the unfortunate can survive, anybody who thinks otherwise is a greedy selfish self centered asshole, and I don't care what kind of ...
My dad does pay his taxes and he gives frequently, when I said he was a christian I meant it. I never seen my dad turn down someone that needed help and he is always donating to organizations. I agree that big buisness should be taxed more but smaller buisnesses need air to breathe. Im not saying let the rich rule and terrorize the poor but there is a line.
Changed my tone? No more like I gave you the benefit of the doubt and decided to take it easy on you. I have a very clear picture of most democrats being lazy, hypocritical shallow bums but I thought maybe you were just the slightly liberal democrat who just doesnt know better. Treading on thin ice though. You want to know the sad thing? Everything I said in my argument was 100% true
money I'll be making in the future, as long as I know it'll go to infrastructure and middle income wealth and benefits I consider paying taxes the most patriotic thing a person can do
We make our country dumber? What fairy tale bullshit land do you live in. I got a news flash for you genius, war boosts the economy. Why we would go to war to hurt ourselves? A country never goes to war unless its beneficial to the nation.. nah shit huh? Like I said before, its funny how the dumb ones have more money and are the real ones that run this country
I never supported the Iraq war, not for one hot second. Couldn't imagine how they sold that transparent, self-serving bill of goods to a single citizen. Did you not see millions of us out in the streets protesting? The Decider decided to ignore us. Look right in the mirror, not at us.
They are so low down and loathsome these republicans strategist. Criminals by any standard. They call people like me whose social/economic/political views are to the left-traitors, a fifth column, and God only knows what. While all the while THEY are the ones doing their best to undermine the foundations of this country! So here I go for the first time: Hey Roger S., Karl R, George B., Dick C., Don R. and friends - you are traitors. You are a fifth column in our midst. Hey, that felt good.
Well hi there timbosforporn. No,I never felt like one. Many times when I expressed my views what I wrote in the msg to which you replied was the reaction I'd gett (instead of addresseing the issues). And please timbo, in the future, when you are makimng assumptions about people you don't know - at least try and be a bit more respectful.
Oh, Thank you so much for the encouragement in your other response. Just don't know what I'd have done without it.
I read on Politico that the Bush administration is trying to pass as many things as they can before they leave office. We should be really scared. Bush has already made enough of a mess and should do nothing for the rest of his term. Leave in peace please!
"Remember, the 2000 election was a different world. What this man did was terrible, but he couldn't have known about 9/11, Iraq, and all the bad things that happened thereafter."
This is such a stupid comment. Sure 9/11 was very much dropped on his doorstep. But Iraq? What do you mean he couldn't have known? There was nothing to know, HE MADE IT ALL UP! Iraq wasn't just something that came out of left field. He made it into a problem. Don't excuse him for that.
Another thing that few people know about was the presidential staff meeting just 10 days into his term (2001). In this meeting Bush specifically stated he wanted to invade Iraq and take out Saddam. This was later confirmed by one of his former employee who was a member of his administration. This was the meeting where bush stated "FIND ME A WAY!" If in a court of law, that right there defines premediated intent.
That could possibly be true but Iraq has been violating the terms of the peace treaty set at the end of the first gulf war and many people incorrectly believed that he was trying to get WMDs or had them. So him planning to invade seemed justified at the time but now we know we were wrong...oops!
I don't think I ever said that or anyone else for that matter. I did say they were suspected in having or making nuclear weapons which violates the peace treaty signed at the end of 1992.
yeah, that turned out to be all lies, remember? remember??? not all of us ate the GOP's spoonfed bullshit about "WMDs" like you did, so don't bother bringing that up. enjoy the next four years!!
A lie is something that is intentional and W did not deliberatly tell everyone there were WMDs because if he lied about then Clinton also had to lie about it as well. Do you remember 'wag the tail' incident where Clinton bombed Iraq during his impeachment. Now if he knew and believed that there were no WMDs as all good democrats knew as you said then he must have bombed them to take some political pressure off him because there were no WMDs there.
look, pleading ignorance isn't a great excuse for the government of the united states. and yes i remember when clinton did that, and i was against it then as well. so your defense is "well clinton did it too", except on a much, much smaller scale. we're in a mess now, more than five years after bush's little "oops". it's time to hold people accountable
Are you saying that Clinton bombed Iraq knowing that they had no WMDs because I was saying that if people believe that Bush invaded Iraq for false reasons then Clinton must have done the same thing. You can't have both presidents attacking Iraq for the same reason of WMDs and one be true and the other not. They either both knowingly lied about it or they both believed Iraq had WMDs.
Apples and oranges here. Bush invaded Iraq on faulty intelligence that Clinton didn't have. Remember the weapons inspectors that Bush ordered out of Iraq because they weren't finding the WMD'S or any nuclear weapons? That was after Clinton. Clinton bombed the Sudan and Afghanistan during his impeachment in response to the bombings of our embassies is Kenya and the Sudan earlier that year. One a response to faulty intelligence the other to a direct attack against us. You decide.
The other bombings you are talking about were in response to the Al-queda bombings not in response to Iraq kicking out UN weapons inspectors in 1998 or something. So it really is apples in oranges.
WRONG! Clinton didn't bomb Iraq during his impeachment trial. He bomb Sudan and Afghanistan for the attack on our US embassy in Kenya like in 97-98. NATO bomb Iraq at the time while patrolling the no-fly-zone.
from the very beginning he was asked to do dirty tricks like stiffling democracy in miami dade. he was asked to do something dishonorable...why the fuck would he think they would govern any differently?
Remember, the 2000 election was a different world. What this man did was terrible, but he couldn't have known about 9/11, Iraq, and all the bad things that happened thereafter. If Americans could have read the future they would have voted in larger numbers for Gore than they did, and less for Nader.
stone, atwater......the list is long of dirty tricksters who eventually get it....rove is on the list of those who will eventually get that stealing an election was a horrific thing to do...in the mean time we must recognize these demons before they can do their dirty tricks and deny them the opportunity to regret what they did to us! Of import is the fact that all of these bad guys are republicans!
He doesn't give a flying fuck about any of that. Hes just lying through his yellow teeth trying to gain favor with future administrations because of how terrible the Bush Camp has crashed
We luckily dodged the bullet by people saying no to Palin. It was genuinely astonishing that they were in many ways playing on her lack of intelligence as a good thing while also trying to portray Obama's Harvard education as a bad thing. Apparently Palin's level of intelligence makes her more on the average persons level while Obama's made him arrogant or "uppity".
cmon, they are sorry that the party loses power and that people start to see its rotten core, they are not sorry for destroyed countries, predatory capitalism, loss of civil liberties aso., bush didnt suddenly turn into a hawk and moron, watch the interviews of 2000, he was the same guy he is today, nothing unpredictable about it
the party that is for the "civil liberties" even though they always call the ACLU (american civil liberties union) communists and domestic terrorists..........that makes sense.
nah, he's trying to redeem himself. don't get me wrong, he's a genius. but if you have any intellect at all, shit like stone's method catches up eventually. if there's a a hell, his reservation is already & he's comped for fiery room service
I keep hearing this lately. "We(Republicans) are supposed to be the party of personal freedom and civil liberties". What!? The force behind anti-gay laws, anti-drug laws, anti-choice laws, etc., is FOR civil liberties? Since when? Maybe they mean personal freedom for straight, white, wealthy, male, Christians...
Hence the "supposed". The idea behind that is that the republicans have shifted away from being a pro-freedom party. They used to be the liberals, back during WW1 and WW2. They were the equivalent of the democrats nowadays. But they've shifted away from being pro-freedom like they used to be.
I guess my main point being that I haven't seen one Republican in recent times true to that. Ron Paul is the closest, but even he is anti-abortion rights.
Good point about Roger Stone's surprise at the consequences of the Bush regime. I'm not in a position to judge Stone's sincerity - I'm inclined to think his regrets about Bush are genuine, even if the statement of his discontent isn't an especially courageous one (it's fashionable to distance yourself from Bush right now in the Republican party.) However, what is really problematic is his failure to see the connection between dishonest tactics and those who would WANT and EMPLOY such means.
Damn these Republicans and their wireless warrant tapping !! hee-hee. S'ok, Cenk. Most of us couldn't do what you do for even two minutes without tripping over our tongues.
Republicans only have to regain trust with Democrats and Independents. Unfortunately, many republican voters tend to vote republican no matter what. Good example is how the fuck did McCain gain 48%(?) of popular vote. I want to think that Obama victory means true change for us all, but I dont think that will ever happen until everyone past 60 will stop voting ... permanently. Now, I wish the old folks good healthy long lives, but I cant stand how they're so different from younger generation.
In my opinion, there is a huge gap, between where the older people want the USA to be and where the younger people are forcing USA to be. The morals have changed a lot in today's USA (and the world) and mostly due to the fact that less and less people believe (or follow if they still believe) in religion. I cannot foresee a republican party existing in the future, lets say 30 years from now because of the party's close association with religion. So back to my original thought: Republicans=RIP
Kathleen Parker (one of the top Republican columnists) has said "religion is killing the Republican party". And she's completely right. They're hanging onto the that segment of the country that continues to put religion near the top of their voting priorities. The problem for them is what you said, that segment gets smaller and smaller with each election. Their reliances on being the "religious party" is coming back to bite them in the ass.
Indeed. They're in a very rough situation. There seems to be 2 groups in the Republican party. The one that wants to try to run on their ideas, and the one that wants to push their religious beliefs.
The divisive nature that comes with religion automatically turns off a lot of voters. Yes, you get a lot of voters also, but young people are on the side that are annoyed with religion. You aren't going to win them over by trying to scare them with gay marriage and abortions.
Well, could it be that this network of favours owed to various people is the reason bush and cheney weren't impeached? And that bush's budgets were passed? And that the Dems didn't do what they were elected for in 06?
I hope Obama doesn't continue this corrupt system.

And please timbo, in the future, when you are makimng assumptions about people you don't know - at least try and be a bit more respectful.
Oh, Thank you so much for the encouragement in your other response. Just don't know what I'd have done without it.
You are a nice person, timbo.

Robbie2188 3 years ago 6
Another thing that few people know about was the presidential staff meeting just 10 days into his term (2001). In this meeting Bush specifically stated he wanted to invade Iraq and take out Saddam. This was later confirmed by one of his former employee who was a member of his administration. This was the meeting where bush stated "FIND ME A WAY!" If in a court of law, that right there defines premediated intent.
plord28 3 years ago
That could possibly be true but Iraq has been violating the terms of the peace treaty set at the end of the first gulf war and many people incorrectly believed that he was trying to get WMDs or had them. So him planning to invade seemed justified at the time but now we know we were wrong...oops!
timbosforporn 3 years ago
Anyone who thought iraq could possibly invade america is an idiot.
chefawkes 3 years ago 6
I don't think I ever said that or anyone else for that matter. I did say they were suspected in having or making nuclear weapons which violates the peace treaty signed at the end of 1992.
timbosforporn 3 years ago
they didnt have nothing of any sort of WMD and in fact the "plans" that iraqis were to make wmds was actually americans future for making wmds
daveyboi03 3 years ago
yeah, that turned out to be all lies, remember? remember??? not all of us ate the GOP's spoonfed bullshit about "WMDs" like you did, so don't bother bringing that up. enjoy the next four years!!
nicky2coats 3 years ago
A lie is something that is intentional and W did not deliberatly tell everyone there were WMDs because if he lied about then Clinton also had to lie about it as well. Do you remember 'wag the tail' incident where Clinton bombed Iraq during his impeachment. Now if he knew and believed that there were no WMDs as all good democrats knew as you said then he must have bombed them to take some political pressure off him because there were no WMDs there.
timbosforporn 3 years ago
look, pleading ignorance isn't a great excuse for the government of the united states. and yes i remember when clinton did that, and i was against it then as well. so your defense is "well clinton did it too", except on a much, much smaller scale. we're in a mess now, more than five years after bush's little "oops". it's time to hold people accountable
nicky2coats 3 years ago
Are you saying that Clinton bombed Iraq knowing that they had no WMDs because I was saying that if people believe that Bush invaded Iraq for false reasons then Clinton must have done the same thing. You can't have both presidents attacking Iraq for the same reason of WMDs and one be true and the other not. They either both knowingly lied about it or they both believed Iraq had WMDs.
timbosforporn 3 years ago
Apples and oranges here. Bush invaded Iraq on faulty intelligence that Clinton didn't have. Remember the weapons inspectors that Bush ordered out of Iraq because they weren't finding the WMD'S or any nuclear weapons? That was after Clinton. Clinton bombed the Sudan and Afghanistan during his impeachment in response to the bombings of our embassies is Kenya and the Sudan earlier that year. One a response to faulty intelligence the other to a direct attack against us. You decide.
jifler 3 years ago
The other bombings you are talking about were in response to the Al-queda bombings not in response to Iraq kicking out UN weapons inspectors in 1998 or something. So it really is apples in oranges.
timbosforporn 3 years ago
WRONG! Clinton didn't bomb Iraq during his impeachment trial. He bomb Sudan and Afghanistan for the attack on our US embassy in Kenya like in 97-98. NATO bomb Iraq at the time while patrolling the no-fly-zone.

Remember, the 2000 election was a different world. What this man did was terrible, but he couldn't have known about 9/11, Iraq, and all the bad things that happened thereafter. If Americans could have read the future they would have voted in larger numbers for Gore than they did, and less for Nader.
gplex86 3 years ago
stone, atwater......the list is long of dirty tricksters who eventually get it....rove is on the list of those who will eventually get that stealing an election was a horrific thing to do...in the mean time we must recognize these demons before they can do their dirty tricks and deny them the opportunity to regret what they did to us! Of import is the fact that all of these bad guys are republicans!

He needs to seek redemption with action.

I keep hearing this lately. "We(Republicans) are supposed to be the party of personal freedom and civil liberties". What!? The force behind anti-gay laws, anti-drug laws, anti-choice laws, etc., is FOR civil liberties? Since when? Maybe they mean personal freedom for straight, white, wealthy, male, Christians...
jstutz2003 3 years ago 10
Hence the "supposed". The idea behind that is that the republicans have shifted away from being a pro-freedom party. They used to be the liberals, back during WW1 and WW2. They were the equivalent of the democrats nowadays. But they've shifted away from being pro-freedom like they used to be.
metalhead91 3 years ago
I guess my main point being that I haven't seen one Republican in recent times true to that. Ron Paul is the closest, but even he is anti-abortion rights.
jstutz2003 3 years ago
You know, they put a bomb under Hitler's table. It fails, dooming Germany.
Michael Corleone kills 2 men at close range with a snub nosed .38 Smith and Wesson.
This probably has nothing to do with Roger Stone, although if we offer him a good Italian dinner, who's to say what would happen.

KosmicCitizen 3 years ago
Well then, maybe he isn't as evil as the top Republicans are, but he still is an ignorant arsehole of a goddamn idiot.

Now, I wish the old folks good healthy long lives, but I cant stand how they're so different from younger generation.
pidjunk 3 years ago 3
In my opinion, there is a huge gap, between where the older people want the USA to be and where the younger people are forcing USA to be. The morals have changed a lot in today's USA (and the world) and mostly due to the fact that less and less people believe (or follow if they still believe) in religion. I cannot foresee a republican party existing in the future, lets say 30 years from now because of the party's close association with religion. So back to my original thought: Republicans=RIP
pidjunk 3 years ago 4
Kathleen Parker (one of the top Republican columnists) has said "religion is killing the Republican party". And she's completely right. They're hanging onto the that segment of the country that continues to put religion near the top of their voting priorities. The problem for them is what you said, that segment gets smaller and smaller with each election. Their reliances on being the "religious party" is coming back to bite them in the ass.
TokyoNiGHTS1 3 years ago 3
Exactly my thoughts. I cannot see how republicans can exist when they wont have those 60-65+ voters anymore.
pidjunk 3 years ago 3
TokyoNiGHTS1 3 years ago 3
Well, could it be that this network of favours owed to various people is the reason bush and cheney weren't impeached? And that bush's budgets were passed? And that the Dems didn't do what they were elected for in 06?
I hope Obama doesn't continue this corrupt system.
