@walker0293 You say that as if Condit is some Lay and Pray point fighter. The Diaz decision is only the second time he has won by decision. The other time was against Jake Ellenburger and he has been undefeated since then with four KOs/TKOs. Condit is definitely one of the premier finishers in the whole sport, let alone the wrestler heavy WW division. It says a lot about Diaz that Condit fought safe against him.

@walker0293 You say that as if Condit is some Lay and Pray point fighter. The Diaz decision is only the second time he has won by decision. The other time was against Jake Ellenburger and he has been undefeated since then with four KOs/TKOs. Condit is definitely one of the premier finishers in the whole sport, let alone the wrestler heavy WW division. It says a lot about Diaz that Condit fought safe against him.

@veggie530 It seems that a lot of people underestimate Diaz' stand up because of how sloppy it looks. But really, what I care about is results, and Diaz KO'ed Paul Daley. That speaks volumes about his stand up. As good as GSP is, he wouldn't do that in a million years. It does have its flaws though, and Condit exploited those flaws(albeit in a rather point fighting manner). Call me crazy, but I think Diaz could beat Alves in the stand uo department.

You're right about how his style matches up with the top wrestlers in the division. I think if he can't finish those guys, which I think he has a good shot at doing, he'd lose the decision. Basically, if you can survive Diaz, you've got a good chance at beating Diaz. Not always true, but he does have a bad track record with decisions.
