"Dear Humanity; we regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to Earth. And we most definitely regret that the Corps just blew up our raggedy-ass fleet!
i always find it funny that you can hear explosions in space in almost evry movie that goes on in outher space you can hear the explosions but with no gas, liquid or even a solid matirial for it to pas true you shoulds be able to hear it
Although an AntiMatter Torpedo would most likey be More Distructive & is Definitly Possible as soon as Antimatter Processing Evolve's Onto a Larger Scale although i Hope that it is Britain/Europe or Russia/China/Japan Who is First to Manage it since it Always refreshing to have something the U.S. Does not.
umm sry but one plasma torpedo will not blow up a ship in one shot especially that class of unsc ship becouse it is known for its heavy armor plating and its ability to stay online after eavan 90% damaage is taken
First of all, you're thinking of the Halcyon-class. The ship in this video is a Marathon-class. But even then, this isn't a video examining the theoretical durability of fictional ships; it's a video about a cool particle/hypervoxel preset that makes for some neat plasma torpedo VFX. The only real reason the torpedo needs to hit a UNSC ship at all in this video is to give a sense of scale for the torpedo vs. the ship.
@jtdoepke Actually the Halcyon-class cruisers were the older type cruisers and were brought back from retirement when the human-covenant war came about. The Marathons were known to be the Flagships of Admials and Captains due to their firepower and armor as a result, most of the marathon class ships were sent back to Earth as a defense measure.

I hope you are kidding. Otherwise you are one of those geeks they talk about on Robot Chicken.
The Cov Cruiser I made myself, and the Marathon is the model from Halo 2 modified with extra details. All the information and tools you'd need for extracting the models yourself are available online.

Very nice man, Like how you used the blast of halo as the plasma torpedo, works very well

You know, the explosion isn't bad, especially considering that there is no oxygen in space, so any explosions would be small.

There's something right behind the ship...

Mabye it is Dadab and Lighter than Some, in their escape pod - Halo:Contact
Harvest.

It's debris for the explosion later in the video. That's some bad camera work on my part. :p

jtdoepke you should do a halo space battle test

The chants kind of fit the hopelessness of that UNSC ship's crew.

cool but marathon class cruisers can take multiple plasma torpedoes and its not that big of an explosion
xxlongswordpilotxx 3 years ago
It really depends on where it hits since the torpedoes tend to continue to burn through the ship

Cool, too abd you use lightwave, I could use some help (but I'm on Max). Also Where did you get your models from?
