thank you for your previous explanation, it is very meaningful for me.
but before I even give a description on the video .. but maybe not too detailed hehehe ... too short I think, and I gave the title of the video is based on pronunciation alone .. too little to provide the chord symbol for ... dom7sus, dom7sus4, d7sus4 , or maybe 7 [4 ].... tones that I play is not really clear sound due to a long string or even how to ring it is not stable ... sounds a bit vague on the ear.
@rillloudmother thank you for advice...sus2 mean add9...why use sus2 for this chord d7sus4?it will change the sound of the chord, according to me .... but first may I ask for clarification in order for me to understand ... thank you friend
@gema368roses there's a 7th in the chord, therefore it is no longer an add 9th chord. when you add a 9th and/or an 11th to a regular 7th chord you can simply write D9 or D11 which is the same as writing D7/9/11 etc... When you play a Sus chord it kind of implies the substitution of the upper extensions for the normal 3rd and 5th, but it is not always the case sometimes piano players and guitarists include the 3rd and/or 5th in a Sus chord voicing. The one you played I would notate as D7sus4.
@rillloudmother ones that I play is not really clear sound due to a long string or even how to ring it is not stable ... sounds a bit vague on the ear.

@rillloudmother The chord you play in the video would be more accurately notated D7sus4. That was my point originally, but then I picked up my guitar and digressed...

cool...for the beatles
gema368roses 11 months ago
that's like a Beatles chord. a jazzier voicing for that would be:
10 X 10 9 8 X
The symbol for the above is usually written D7sus, but a more complete symbol would be D7sus2sus4
