  • lvl 4,5,6 wtff hax :| 59 hp LoLz

  • Dullahan, stop hitting yourself!

  • Dullahan and Dark Magician are truly the best enemys around truly :D

  • LIES! you said the game was not hacked in any way except that enemies do not give exp.? Well WHAT WAS THAT AT 4:47 then?! I'll tell you what it was. It was both Isaac and Garet summoning Zagan without the proper djinn on standby. what is that if not hacking? As a player of golden sun myself, i'm offended that you had to hack, even with such a heavy setback as no exp, just to win one fight, even if that fight is against the most powerful enemy in the game. You sir, have lost my respect.

  • @Hisworld1234 Except there was enough djinn on standby for him to summon 2 Zagans during that turn. On that last turn, he had 2 Venus and 2 Mars on standby. Each Zagan uses 1 Venus and 1 Mars. He had all four characters attempt to summon Zagan, but only had enough for 2 summons. Well, two characters were downed, so the other two were able to summon Zagan. If a third character was alive and tried to summon Zagan, then it wouldn't work.

  • @Pavocado I myself hav tried to duplicate this, and it didn't work. Even when I tried to select the Zagan summon for use, it gave me the message "not enough djinn on standby" so no, that doesn't work.

  • @Hisworld1234 It does. Here, try this: Have a mars djinn on standby. Have one character use a venus djinn, and have a slower character summon Zagan, even though when you select Zagan it will seem that you don't have enough djinn on standby. The one character will use the venus djinn, and then the slower character will summon Zagan, all in the same turn. As long as you have the necessary amount of djinn on standby, you can summon.

  • @Hisworld1234 Even if there's not enough djinn, you can still select the summon and target the enemy, just like how you can select a psynergy and attempt to use it if you don't have enough or if it's sealed.

  • The other thing is most high cost summons do bonus damage as shown to high health enemies such as dullahan and when the bosses use summons against you at a lower level the summons can do less damage but as you are a low level it can still easily kill you unless an aura is up or your resistance is massive

  • I didn't know the Wise One had a Youtube account!

  • O___o;

    3:51 lol luck

  • Lol, I always hated Dullahan's Formina Sage Attack...

Dullahan: I don't like you, Fuck you!

"Formina Sage" - 1 hit KO

Dullahan: Oh, I don't Like you either, Fuck you too!

"Formina Sage" - 1 Hit KO

Dullahan: And Just for Sick Kicks..

    "Charron"

    FUUUU!!!!!!!

  • @cadcsa LOL

  • such a close battle

  • Ok this is my strategy:

put every Djjini on summon except for granite Flash Shade

ten have this in front row:

    Felix Jenna isaac and Garet

make Garet use Flash and everyone else use deadalus

then make isaac use Granite and everyone else dedalus if there are no more djjinis for deadalus use the last sumons you got left then let him kill you after deadalus strikes with the large missile then next party make everyone use eclipse and there you go

  • Wow, one think : Total respect!

But it's shame, Dullahan hasn't used his special hability with Djiins...

  • Flawless. (Y)

  • ALl that for a crappy summon

  • Man... You are EPIC, I hardly beat him with a level 35 - 40 party...

    You win an INTERNET!!

  • Blah, I had more fun taking him head on with attacks and no summons, djinn or items. But I wasn't playing LLP, so that probably wouldn't be possible. Also, my entire party survived which definitely wouldn't have been possible. Still, not bad for that handicap.

  • ok i have seen the games code and i know that "forma sage" (pardon my spelling) has 120 attack + your health. and i know you used barrier then this happed but...

sheba took 34 damage from the attack. then later some one took 360 something damage. i know that barrier acts like defense and halves the damage but the numbers don't match AND you are selecting things way to fast in the first half.

and i have played golden sun sence it came out in 2001 and know one can slect the attackes that fast!!!

  • @xXzman9000Xx o and something, else i think your summons are taking to much damage at your level. also i have to go back and look but i think you used a djinn two times with out resetting it.. (this and only this(i could be wrong about it but like i said i will go back and look.)). lastly the only way to go through the game with no exp. is to hack or get a hack version! and i will mostlikly post again but i will go over your video again and the code and i will find out once for all if this is...

  • @xXzman9000Xx Hi there. Yes, a code is used to not gain experience. That is explained in the description of the video. As for summons doing the high damage that they do, the damage is not in any way related to the level of the characters. It is mostly based on the enemy's HP and the elemental stat of the summoner. The elemental stat is not boosted through level ups, but rather by certain equipment. It's fine to be critical, but I assure you that this video is completely legit.

  • @xXzman9000Xx re- if this is possible

  • @xXzman9000Xx It is possible. Not gaining any exp is an AR code hack but apart from that everything else is pretty legit. Many people have successfully done this including myself. Check out my channel to see a no exp run for dark dawn.

  • @xXzman9000Xx The red barrier is flash which reduces damage by 90% hence the very low damage. The other barrier is granite which only reduces damage by 50% hence why someone took a lot more damage. Selecting that fast can be due to many reasons. This was probably played on VBA emulator which means turbo speed boosting. He could also have sped up the video during editing.

  • This video was made to tell the people who couldn't beat him at level 50 that they really need to play this game like this.

  • go to 3:36 and pause the video. ... I dont know about you, but that seems like a hack to me.

  • @LockePhilote

what happened was he has 7 on standby then had used another in the turn getting 8

this meant he was able to summon boreas twice

  • @LockePhilote You have to remember that before that summon took place in that turn Shade was used, which prevents damage and has priority. Thus, another beforehand set Djinni would be available for the summon, and there were already three on standby, allowing the summon to go through.

  • but but but......when I fought him past level 50 I had a lot of trouble :(

  • OMFG.

    THATS PURE GENIUS.

  • Wait, what? Dullahan, stop hitting youself!? How did that happen? o_o

  • @orlando1210 thats Mold's unleash, it posesses the teget enemy to attack an ally , if there are no allies it hits itself.

  • @trogdorburninating Oh, I see.

  • Nice but I would be more impress with beating him below level 40 without using summons. Summons in this series is way too game breaking. This guy is all about surviving Djinn Storm.

  • That's just nicely done. Very nice. Your tactics & strategy is really impressive. Well done!

  • OMG...fucking epic...thats pure tactic...WTF LOL

  • WOO! the battle theme for fusion dragon!

  • I saw this and thought 'No way...' Well done. The end had that 'sweating bullets' feel to it, just PRAYING he didn't use certain moves and that the math was all done right. Bravo.

  • Wow, I can do nothing other than sit here and say "wow". That was absolutely amazing. You've obviously taken your time figuring all this out. Needless to say, I'm impressed.

And the idea of playing GS no exp is rather intriguing. A new challenge for those who can play GS blindfolded. Hmmmmmm...

  • Where are this monster?

  • i jus summon rushed him, i had 2ppl alive in the end

  • I really want to play this game now. thanks for the upload!!

  • cut it kinda close there, but damn, very nice strategy!

this guy was always a thorn by my side..

  • ala betia como lo isite

  • cheat D:!! i guess

  • you were lucky, if he had used djinn storm..... it would have hurt :S

  • what does element swap do?

  • @wonderfulbat

absolutely nothing. It was added into the game for "suspense", like how the thieves in the original Golden Sun are "glaring" at you. However, if he uses element swap, there's a good chance he'll use Charon on the next turn.

  • It changes the order that djinn go from recovery to set. Can mess up your strategies if you're waiting on a certain one to get back to set, but... overall, not that much of a threat, unlike other skills he can use.

  • I can see the effort you put into this. I love the strategy you used here too. Amazing video.

  • Som hard boss if he was taken down by lv 1-18 people.XD

  • Apparently dullahan went down in the rpg hall of fame for toughest boss fights. He was rough but worth it for the summon

  • if he uses storm djinn ....

  • Why did Formina Sage only hit Sheba for 71 instead of the normal 600-800?

  • because he used flash the djinni it blocks a ton of damage

  • Oh haha didn't notice. Yeah 71 is pretty hard hitting still if he had flash up.

  • @Abysia Flash the Mars Djinni was used, which blocks 90% of damage to all standing party members. It would have dealt damage in the 600-800 range normally if Flash had not been used, though.

  • That was fucking awesome! =]

  • xD fk yea !! i was loseing hope when i only had jenna left, and every one was dead, but, i had one summon left, and killed him with the final 203 damage xD

  • Lull mastery, achived !

  • Gah, fast sequences!

    Very nice though

  • HOLY FUCKING CRAP!!!!! That was insanely awesome!

  • summoning catastrophe 3x in a row!? and still have 7 jupiter jinn on standby!? is that for real!?

  • TAS?

  • Close, but excellent job, proof of how someone can do anything with the Djinn if he knows how to manipulate them!

  • Wow Dullahan got owned.

I should play around with the djinnis even more xD

    Well done!

  • Respect! I had lot fun to watch this video, and I'm impressed. I believe you have planned quite a while for this battle, haven't you? And also I would like to know, how many tries you needed to win.

Well, maybe I'm going to watch your other videos too :9

  • Hi. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

The strategy was a lot of trial and error, trying to decide how to equip my characters, what djinn to give them, what to do in battle, etc.

But the strategy I used in the video, it leads to victory most of the time. Strategizing was the hard part; performing the fight is much easier.

  • What does Element Swap do?

  • Absolutely nothing.

However, it's an indication that Dullahan will use Charon next turn though...

  • has it name suject i change his elemental atribut and his elemental weakness

  • How do your characters still outspeed him at times? Isn't he supposed to have right around 250 agility?

  • @ZephyrEXE The Djinn setup and equipment can help characters outspeed Dullahan, particularly Piers, whose minimum level is 18, and Sheba, who has the highest base speed in the game (I think).

  • which difficulity - easy, medium or hard ?

I would like to watch you defeating him WITHOUT summons, it's possible

  • Dude... holy hell.... XD That was CLOSE... If you didn't have that last Zagan summoning, you would've been PWN'd... Oo Kudos, man, kudos!

  • When dullahan used charon i thought it said owned owned owned instead of down down down for a second XD

  • he has alot more than 16k health because id summon rush hiim and hit like 2.5k-3k each summon

  • Sir XphaetonVx I agree, he is an asshole....lol

  • 4:30-4:31

    Dullahan, stop hitting yourself!

  • this may have been a pro strategy but with this its all based on luck..... now if he was to have used charon a 2nd time you wouldn't have survived that

  • Dullahan has to Element Swap before using Charon again anyway.

  • ...The superboss and the hardest boss ever IMO (When not summon spamming) got owned by...

    *You (I) self-destructed! (Faint)

    Press FIRE to respawn*

  • wow, not baad :D

  • You are elite. You are my god!

  • 3 letters "pro"

  • Y-You make it look so... EASY! Great job by the way!

  • I've never seen some of those items before on either of the GS games.

    Great job on Dullahun!

  • "Dullahan, stop hitting yourself!"

  • @Neghut What really disappoints me is that they no longer have that as the message prompt if you use Gears's attack in Dark Dawn (the equivalent of Mold's in TLA). They've replaced it with something like, "-Monster name here- turns on its comrade!"

  • morals - curiosity killed the cat

This battle - catastrophe killed the dullahan

  • There is only one thing I can say: You rock my socks like a fox in Fort Knox during the equinox with a box. Fuckin' A

  • haha thanks

  • wtf? how do u do so much damage if such low level character? there has to be something wrong.

  • What I know is that we've got status boosts from equipment and set djinn. These status boosts can be much more significant than many levels up. I guess too is that the damage for summons is dependent on more than just what you get from level ups. A regular attack by any of my characters are pathetic, but not summons. That's all I know.

  • the damage you do with psynergy, djinns and summons is fixed to the power up you getfrom using a summon + the djinns (each djinn not on standby gives a lv up for the element it has

  • Summons deal most of their damage based on the enemy's HP. For example, Catastrophe will deal 400 Jupiter Damage + 24% HP + 10% PP (the PP damage is unique to Catastrophe among summons). Iris will deal 800 Mars Damage + 40% HP, and completely restores all battling adepts. Just to make things clear.

  • Wow, just... wow. The fact that you were able to do this is simply incredible.

  • You actually did it.

This is proof that levels mean nothing when fighting a real boss - there's a vid of a level 99 party who got killed by Dullahan. This proves it's all about skill now, and you certainly displayed skill.

  • Thanks man. One of the most inspiring comments I've ever received.

  • soz for advertising on your vid btw. I was just replying to that guy. Anyway, how do you unlock no exp mode?

  • For Golden Sun: The Lost Age, do this in VisualBoyAdvance:

Cheats -> Cheat List... -> Cheat...

    In the boxes type this:

    Address: 020305a0

    Value: 00000000

    For "Size" choose '32-bit'

    For "Number Format" choose 'Unsigned'

  • you mean my vid? LOL that battleon was rubbish. I just uploaded a rematch like 2 minute ago watch if you feel like it.

  • *battle

  • HOW the hell can you summon when the sumon is red??

  • You're right, you can't summon when it is red. It is red because we don't have enough standy djinn to summon. But you can notice that on the turn that I choose the red summons, I also cast the djinn I need to be able to have enough standby djinn that turn.

  • lvl 5...?

  • What do you use to record the videos?

  • I use VisualBoyAdvance Rerecording emulator. Using that one, I get better sound-video sync than with the regular edition of VisualBoyAdvance. Not sure where I can download it though; I had a hard time finding a download myself.

  • This guy is sooo ridiculously strong.. I mean with summons it's easy.. But he's almost impossible otherwise.. Seriously, Charon and Djinnstorm rapes NO MATTER WHICH LEVEL YOU ARE.

I beat him 2 times now with normal methods (just attacking, basically) with both parties on lvl 99.. And A LOT of revive waters..

  • i did this when my party was like 34, except i just used eclipse and charon combined with a few strikes of the sold blade and tisiphone edge O_o

  • O_O

  • *sigh* when will they make a golden sun 3? The first two were just too good!

  • @vgamer18 Now lol : )

  • Isaac was the one who gave Dullahan the final blown!!

    Nice video :D

  • Thank you :)

  • this is almost exactly how i fight dullahan, except my weakest party was level 40. great job, no doubt.

  • Very smart technique, I got your link from gamefaqs. but im banned so i cant talk there for a little while.

I managed to beat him with a level 45 party ages ago, no idea how, but all i remember was that it was HARD

then I tried daedalus spam and that worked.

  • How are you able to summon things that are red

  • Before they are summoned, we cast the Djinn needed that same turn. That way, they are put in standby right away to be summoned.

  • Very impressive use of djinn and summons. Focusing on Sheba to use the high-end summons early on was a good idea, and if he didn't break your party, you probably could have taken him out earlier.

  • Thank you.

Actually, I have beaten him before he can down the front row characters. If not for that Charon, Piers would have summoned Ramses, and if Mia and Jenna were alive, and did enough damage, that could finish him off a turn or two earlier.

  • Wow! Great!

  • Thanks

  • amazing you took him down one of the hard boss in golden sun history :D great job im guessing doom dragon is left??

lol where do you farm your stats boosting items you have lots of them

  • Thank you. Yeah, we just have Doom Dragon left.

All those stat boosting items, those I all collected during the game, and also what I transferred from the first Golden Sun. I never used any of them, so they just piled up.

  • Amazing job. Lol, sure wish I knew about that strategy the first time I fought him...

  • Thanks!

  • youre insane...dully was so hard to beat without summon spam even at high levels...great lull strategy...dully is definatley harder tahn doom dragon...very nice job man

  • Thanks dude. Yeah summon spam rules

  • Wow, that got really intense at the end....

Either way, great job! I wish I could do something like this.

  • Thank you
