the car had and I deployed the on-board system (you can see it spray at the end of the onboard video). I yelled the admittedly obvious seeming "I'm on fire!" because the corner worker was still sitting there like nothing was going on, zero reaction. It turned out he sat there because he knew their fire bottle was empty(!). I ran and grabbed it to try and put out the fire and he still just sat there. Such a jerk.
I was here taking pics this day and witnessed this entire thing.. And i have to say..Watching this all happen in person was really uncomfortable.. i was standing next to 5-10 other people near the sweeper and it was absolutely silent for the entire time the car was burning..
love the car but who will agree with me? that spoiler is outragous lol far to big for the car! think they were trying to copy the orange rc developments evo lol
The wing is properly placed to grab "Clean" air. read up on aero dynamics and downforce and you'll know that the wing is perfectly placed and the right size.
Amazing BEAST of a car. Very sexy, I love these videos, please keep them coming!
The empty extinguishers is UNACCEPTABLE. Absolutely unacceptable. im sure there are laws/rules that mandate the extinguishes to be filled at a RACE track. you should could sue for that.
on a race track, pushing the overly modified monster to the limit, all kinds of shit can happen. And without a fire extinguisher, that's just foolish. If the driver has one, he could have saved the car. In my country, all legal track racing cars have to have extinguisher on them.
It was amazing that AMS w/ the help of Rado, was able to identify, address and fix every issue to the point that TAX ran strong enough at the RLTA finals, at the top speed friendly ACS, to stay within 1 tenth of second of FXMS's nsx.
and as far as I know, TAX was missing at least the flat underbody of the aero package.
Can't wait to see or hear some pics/info on what exactly was modified and tuned as far as TAX's engine and aerodynamics later on in the season.
The Buttonwillow employees in charge of checking fire extinguishers on a race track:
..... give yourselves a nice pat on the back with a moving car.
TAX is unreal capable, and that 4g replacement sure sounds insanely good...... and it is still being dialed in, lol..... can't for RLTA 10'... going to be benchmark setting
AMS vids are so rare now, i feel like i need to thank them for posting....

I agree, and the cars that are highly modified should have built in extinguisher systems. Hell I keep one in my street car !
