After the 15th Amendment was enacted, blacks voted Republcian, until 1933 during the New Deal when FDR agressively bought black votes with the promise of welfare. Ironic how the party that lost their black slaves after the Civil War, was able to buy them back not so many years later.

Personally, I agree that when you limit access to guns, it makes people want them more, but I also think that stopping abortion brings more unwanted children into the world. A child KNOWS when it's unwanted and without love and education, it will go up to be a criminal. Read the book 'Freakonomics' by Levitt & Dubner to see a very good explanation of this. However, yes, forbidding guns does increase the desire for them, yes..
