  • such an annoying intro, that TED intro.

  • Richard Branson is one of the most inpiring entrepreneurs we have come across and one of the most down to earth people you could hope to meet

  • THE INTERVIEWER IS AN ASSWIPE

  • actually, no. the interviewer is a faggot. dissapointed

  • good interview

  • He is a legend. Treats his workers with respect and actually makes them want to work. He was off the coast of Mexico last week testing a new submarine. We were diving there and he was cruising around. Great man who deserves the best.

  • sir richard branson.i have a free material,in the tons,im talking tons.for free, can be a go green thing.i need you to message back, its an idea of mine, and the only other person or people that can pull this off is monsanto.the complete oppisite of what u are.id rather propose this to you.please contact me some how through this.its big, this material is everywhere being wasted,im sure it can be used.its better than your space program .i want a suit and tie to contact me.

  • @newb1912

Suits and ties can't talk, you'd be better off getting a person to talk to you.

  • what ridiculous questions

  • he reminds me a bit of michael scott.... his business philosophy I mean...

  • @manwithouthat44 and Chris Anderson remind me a bit of Julian Assange... his look i mean...

  • such a leo ! i looove him he is my idol & mentor. richie baby you are the MAN

  • I love Richard Branson

  • Smart guy in every way. Lives life to the fullest, we all should love life like this guy.

  • Very Motivating

To see more videos about entrepreneurs and a community of liked minded individuals visit ThinkStageDOTcom

  • listen to this man. THIS is how a CEO or any leader should lead

"Running a company is about finding good people and inspiring them to get the best out of them."

"To save the jobs at the airline and to save the jobs at the record company....I cashed in a chip." I hope that attitude is a big reason why he's successful.

  • like a boss

  • This interviewer comes across as an ass.

  • @oitotheworld23. He is fine.

  • @somename99

Is that Dyson the same Dyson employs a mere 1700 people, compared to 55000 that Virgin employ. The Dyson who moved all production to Malaysia when he didn't need to, he could have left part of Dyson in the UK or found a UK site for the whole business.

All business owners can avoid personal tax in many ways but one thing you cannot do is avoid the tax of your staff or corporation tax. If only half of Virgins staff are in the UK thats 22500 paying tax. You are wrong in judgement

  • @swedish89 G0d eftermiddag. By "m0vie" I assume y0u mean "vide0." N0, I haven't watched the vide0, dut I read s0me 0f the c0mments del0w anb I realiseb that Drans0n is a dylsexic man. My 0wn general qractiti0ner (ie. b0ct0r) is dylsexic herself, and sh3 t0lb m3 that by the aftern00n, when sh3 is tireb, sh3 has s0me bifficulty reabing s0me w0rbs. I kn0w that Keira Knightley is als0 dylsexic and I'm sur3 that many 0ther fam0us pe0pl3 ar3 dylsexic as we11.

  • is there any chance you lowering my broadband bill you greedy smuck

  • @abelfastlad i have an idea, stop using it so much !

  • Don't have enough money , but i would trust any amount with this philosophical genius.

  • great viedo

  • its amaZZing what plastic surgery and modern medicing can do to a SS man now ar days i mean Streat Single ... HUSH HUSH ...

anywys man U have 1.3 years to get your space bucket up....

PLEASE FORGET THE REST OF US ... we are not worthy:) have a nice space flight u rich falk.... see u in hell:)

  • Africa has enough bilionaires already, we need the wealth re-distributed, not aid! And redisbuting wealth can only be done by the population itself, not outside influece.

  • He is so awesome. Rich, powerful - but just a regular, likeable guy. Even in my deep envy I absolutely love his persona. =)

TED should be nominated the best channel on Youtube... ever!

  • I really love this guy !

  • I guess out all the billionaires out there, Sir Richard Branson is the coolest of them all.

  • @giriisindahouse

Warren Buffett's pretty cool too. Except that if you go to dinner with him he'll probably expect to split the bill.

Dinner companion: "But you have BILLIONS!!!"

Warren Buffett: "So? A dollar's a dollar you know."

  • i love this guy trully an inspiration

  • the guy definitely seems very happy, but this interview was just a bunch of silly jokes, anecdotes, and platitudes, with nothing really useful. he seems to just have an act that he puts on for the camera, but i'm suspecting that he is extremely different in private, or at least when work DOES need to get done, which is obviously how many high-profile camera-hungry executives are.

  • @todnyc yes you are right. I am starting in business too and I HAVE to be different to get the most out of any meeting, it's mandatory ! personally I am very cheerfull, but I train myself to be more cool and so on

  • 14 people missed the like button because you obviously have to live under a rock to not like and be inspired by this guy!

  • @e1nste1n Or perhaps some of us think he is rather overrated / hyped, very few of his businesses create additional jobs in the economy and he pays virtually no tax, I have for more respect for people like James Dyson whose business creates jobs that would simply not exist without it and pays tax like everyone else.

  • i hope i get to meet this man in person one day!

  • Richard Branson, read Mark chapter 8, verse 36.

  • @darthspeaks I don't think he cares about that rubbish

  • @DogmeatFilms Rubbish? You mean the Bible? The best selling book of all time? Are you kidding? Please tell me you are kidding me...

  • @darthspeaks haha, I though you were serious. But yes, the BEST SELLING book in the world. ;)

  • anyone knows if there's images of the balloon that crossed the atlantic?

  • hmmmmm

  • free ps3

    free stuff yeah (dot) com

  • Best Button Ever.

  • @kylekick what button?

  • OK Richard - Capitalism is the rule and we have a responsability - Extreme wealth ends up in the hands of a few - Goldie Hawn's ring, no more cold chicken on laps on airlines etc. 25Billion Turnover or not? - I'm glad your dyslexic as we hear repeatetly - School drop out who "made it" - Great PR - You made money, sure, you have an exceptionnal address book ,granted.... but honestly stop thinking that you're a saviour of anything......and you're enjoying... I admire your energy though!

  • @touldouar

Thank Goodness the people that think like you will be out of office soon.

  • @pandelis.Well said man! Idiots like toulador blame everybody else for their lack of success instead of looking at themselves.

  • @touldouar Dyslexia doesn't effect how you speak numb nuts.

  • @necrofagg0t Yes it can!

  • This button is amazing. I am amazed.

  • What is the point of this button.

  • Whats this. A such called turn down the lights button at the the upper right hand corner of the video.

  • Nice.

  • this interviewer is a knob lol... richard looks insulted at time... he's so incohesive!

  • surely a key element in his success is the fact that the Virgin logo contains a double subliminal reference to sex.

  • are you a hot-air balloon driver?

  • yes at 8:00 the interviewer talks about "Sir Richard" --and he should be addressed as Sir Richard--Branson deserves the honor--"Sir Richard to you

  • Thank's

  • ur a d bag 1965CAPTKIRK

  • hhey shut up jerk

  • pretty sure he doesnt care about your pennies man , no joke this is the best entrepreneur, role model!

  • richard brandson it's my role model

  • Great man Richard is great airline too

  • love the story about vd

  • Indeed. Don't let his dopy looks fool you, this man is the shrewdest businessman you will ever find. He's a marketing genius and he may look like a maverick, but a close analysis of his business profile is anything but conservative. He always sets up his businesses after careful market analysis, he's never afraid to cut and run from an unprofitable venture and his strategic vision is phenomenol !!! Donald trump is a chump compared to branson !!

  • :) i agree! :D

  • @akamola careful market analysis? have you read his own words about himself in his biography, YOUR A LIAR, YOU DOUCHEBAG!

  • @akamola Number one, Richard looks excellent, at least I think so - and number two, Donald is no chump.

  • I am just finishing his autobiography..and i must say hes a maverick.

    He inspires me.

  • Most of his companies are virgin. Must have upbrought them very strictly :)

  • Richard inspires me for shure.. hes the best...!!!

  • Bravo Mr Branson... You certainly are an inspiration to me and im sure to others who are determined to succeed...!

  • splendid

  • Mother Earth needs more Richard The Galaxian !!!

  • hes a genious. :-)

  • I am going to Necker for the day tomorrow, and apparently Richard will be there!!!!!!

  • hey buying playboy dude,..nice playmates are sexy,..u knw how to manage dollars ..!

  • Loosing my viriginity is his autobiography..one of the best books i have ever read!

  • Best interview i've seen of Richard Branson

  • The thing that I like and respect about Richard Branson is that he shows that you don't have to be a vile swine to be successful in business, I hate to say it but someone like Sir Alan Sugar brings me down and I think "I can't be bothered" just listening to him, however, someone like Sir Richard Branson brings me up and I think "I can", see the difference??.

  • I agree,

though sometimes I do find some of Alan Sugar's ways of business very interesting.

But if I had to choose an Idol, it would be Richard.

  • the interviewer kept itterupting him!

  • This guy is born genius so he did not even to complete high school . He just trust himself so much.

  • This interviewer is shit!!

  • I actually hate this interview

  • The prob with TED is their timings are really stringent.

  • The man is extremely handsome!

  • Funny how Mr. Branson very fast moved to a few persons that really inspire me. He has increadibelly positive immage for an enterpreneur. Very few are like that.. like you can count on fingers such persons per every 5 million people or so.

  • As one of the thousands of people employed by companies that RB has founded...I say thank you...

The part where the interviewer asks "what makes Virgin different" in relation to its business'...and he reply's "fun"....is so true...I love my job and I know that in doing it I have the 100% backing of the company...and when we entered these tough times...the first thing his company's have done is cut Executive pays...

This man is not just talk...he actually practices what he preaches...

  • Tom, Contact Richard Weird event tonight in Times Square Went to Virgin Records & chased out by mgmt. It seems Hillary of the cops or Obama is really tying to stop us. Google Richard Branson Al Gore World Peace I handed out not 1000 flyers it was 1200 instead!!!!! Google American Patriot Jeff Fisher Tell everyone about it!!!!! Google Tom Heneghan & Stew Webb also. Tell everyone about that also!!!
  • umm errr and, is that a bird is a plane? errr its branson!!

  • gotta love the filthy rich...

  • wow i wish i was him, i'd have a house a penhouse in London, Penhouse in dubai, mansion in Miami, Huge apartment in New york, Penhouse in Tokyo, god i would love life to be him! i take my hat off to him, because hes worked hard and earned it!

  • @potatoface13 why don't you start your own empire then?

  • @potatoface13

haha, if only it were that easy :P

    *penthouse

  • great interview

  • Amazing guy with interesting life!

  • what a contrast this man is to people like donald trump, the people from dragons den, just shows you CAN have a consciousness and heart and be successful.

  • Being a dyslexic myself, i truly respect and look up to Richard Branson, when ever i felt i didn't have a change in life (most of the time at school), i had only to look at him.

He is an amazing human being

    Jayen

  • @Jayenwoods What ?? Richarb Dranson is dylsexic ?

  • @Jayenwoods but you have to remember that he comes from a well off family

  • @failure4u Well it may be true that there was money in the family, but I don't think the money itself had a lot to do with his success, it's more about the attitude and way of thinking that his parents installed in him!

  • @failure4u

He is not from a well off family..Mere middle class people. What Jayen Woods say is true. His parents kinda groomed his entrepreneurial zeal. and he started with a magazine, then music place, then music places, then record company, sold his Record company for like $800 000 in 1970 something..the he freaking diversified and got richer.. Nothing to do about him being well off initially.

  • the mans a great inspiration.

  • I want to be just like Sir. Richard Branson!

  • good luck

  • Thank you. Good life, health and wealth to you too.

  • and women

  • Especially women!

  • Richard Bronsons's took many risks and got over them. He contributes positively in the world economy So Sir Richard Bronsons. Wish him a very long successful life. Respect

  • Yes, the same can be said for Richard Branson.

  • ahahah outstandingly funny.

  • this guy is a great interviewer! excellent questions

  • Just finished reading his biography: "losing my virginity". It was a great read, and very inspirational. He really opened up and shared alot in the book would definately reccommend it if you are an asipiring entrepeneur like myself.

  • And what are you gonna enterpreneur about?

  • yeah, i read it too..

just like you i am heading towards entrepreneurilsm...

  • Richard Branson is such an inspiration to anyone of any age - a truly remarkable person that can say he Definetely has lived life to the full! He's also had a positive impact on other people's lives along the way so he is living proof that good guys still exist. The interviewer wasn't that bad by the way - they seemed to get on quite well

  • omg he has not got a carbon footprint. He does as much as he can to bring the level of fuel consumption and polution to its minimum. why else would he design a space ship that runs on a ridiculously low amount of fuel...

  • I have always been amazed by this guy. His beliefs and ambitions are stunning. I am inspired with such strong interest in busines anyway and i am determined to try and follow in his footsteps.

If you havent yet read his autobiography i highly recomend you do it is the most amazing thing i have ever read.

  • so rich, but such a nice guy!

  • this dude's a visionary. gotta respect a guy who believes in foreign planet colonization.

  • Richard Branson is now a former atheist.

  • yeah the interviewer wasnt great, but richard branson is GREAT!

  • lie.

  • :'(

  • how do you do this? i will tell u what i do is lie to get them on contract and then half way fuck them over them over. eg his Internet premium help calls "unlimited Internet" which is capped 23-7 and software which spies on its users.

  • a truly amazing source of inspiration this guy.

  • I don't care much for his trains and stuff , but I will say one thing for the man.

Whenever I have a cheese sandwich , I make sure I use his most delicious pickle.

    Spiffing!

  • Richard Branson is a great man!

  • u wont say that if u had any virgin products or services he sweet talks thats all.

  • His space craft is actually very environmentally friendly when compared to NASA's space shuttle's...

On the other hand it's idiotic to fight something that doesn't exist.

  • if u could make a difference to the world for the good of the world why do u slag off peeps who could possibly do that

well done sir branson long may he continue

  • how did you get a 1/2 an hour vid on here i thought u can only go up to 10 minutes

  • I think you have to pay a small fee for it, and then ure able to upload vids longer than 10minutes,

    Richard bransons great serious/and/funny

  • I think you have to pay a small fee for it, and then ure able to upload vids longer than 10minutes,

    Richard bransons great serious/and/funny

  • I think you have to pay a small fee for it, and then ure able to upload vids longer than 10minutes,

    Richard brandsons great serious/and/funny

  • constant inspiration, guru himself!!!

  • I recon the -ve comments say more about the narrow minded, jealous, little f**k wits than they do about this extraordinary force of nature. =OP

    Long live outrageous freedom!

  • Oztigon, couldn't have said it better myself!

  • Reeeeeeeespect & best wishes bro!

    Shine on!

    =O]

  • Gracias (thanks for sharing)

  • in his autobiography, his friend is arrested for the never mind the bollocks incident, not richard branson, and richard was also arrested and spent a night in prison for tax evasion.

  • The effects of drug use during his teens is beginning to show there I think...

  • a theory

  • LOL... Good lad Branson! Freedom Thinkers often do have drug relations...To this day I still believe he has a joint or two... and why not...

  • Thank you so much for posting this. Richard Branson is a constant inspiration.

  • You know what, you're right...what the hell's wrong with him?? lol

  • The effects of drug use during his teens are beginning to show there I think...

  • love this Man

  • someone so rich, massive wealth unconscienously unimaginable can do so much good helping others in the world to better their lives that only money can accomplish.

i wonder if his friends are honestly his friends had his financial situation been different in life working 60 hours a week to meet monthly bills ?

his money, his life, do as he wishes...more power to him

  • Unlike some millionaires though, Richard actually had a large hand in his own gains.

And if he were to loose all his wealth tomorrow, would Virgin Atlantic Still exist?

If so - SOMEONE would still know about him.

  • look at most filthy rich taking on a cause.

rarely do you see themselves poor large amounts of their own money in the cause.

hell al gore bitches about global warming, travels in private jet daily, rides in a limo.

  • what cause does Richard Brandson stand for though? As far as I can see, his cause ISN"T about global warming. it's about air travel, adventure and so on. Buying tickets to ride in outerspace is very "Richard Brandson" a thing to do. not particularly "a cause" just "an aviation novelty for rich people". Since he doesn't even claim to HAVE a cause, I don't see any hypocracy here.

  • well its his money..he should be able to do whatever he wishes...

    perhaps your right....

what frustrates me is when someone has a cause like global warming..and travels the nation in a private jet telling us how horrible we are for owning a SUV aka: al gore

  • global warning is a bit overblown IMO. I would say Branson's cause is pissing on unhappy, repressive corporations who don't have a soud, which imo is a great cause ;)

  • *soul
