Not to be a nitpicker or a rivet counter, Adam, but that wasn't even an USRA whistle singal. What he blew was a long-short long-short short long-short-short.
The 'standard' signal is Long long short long. No more no less.
But it really doesn't matter, as long as the whistle does its job of warning anything or anyone that could be in its path.
Air ringers take all the fun out of it....
