If it's bracket racing the GTR quicker time then what he dailed in at, a loss. If the GTR dailed in at 11.7 and the EVO was a 11.8 the EVO would lost. Bracket it's more about trap time to make it fair and fun for everybody. Not just for fast cars or bikes. Good launch from the EVO but lagged or missed a gear. DSM

For one the internals are forged to begin with a rating of 450awhp, even up to 500awhp depending on the tune and gas. It all depends on the level of tune, are you using good gas, and are you driving normal or beating the crap out of it. Assuming you have the correct supporting mods. you can def. drive a 400+hp evo all day versus a GTR which most owners do not drive it day in and out.

Exactly that is what I have been saying all along. Not saying the Evo has no potential, in fact, the Evo is a known and proven platform to start a good, solid build, resulting in a real fast car. A GTR with intake, exhaust and tune will run 10s all day everyday without breaking anything.
Honestly I wouldn't be able to comment on what you said cause I haven't researched the fastest 4g63t motors and the fastest RB26DETT motors but this video features the R35 which runs a VR38DETT. All I'm saying is that the 4g63t motor either first or second generation can't be compared to the new VR38DETT motor. And the RB26 motor enjoys cult following even today, with only the 2jz motor equaling the same level. For me, that says a lot. Not dissing the 4g motor though... ;)

@Hawk864 Thats doesn't say much about the Evo. Heavily modified, more aggressive gearing, and a decent driver. I'm sure there are cats out there with mildly modded 04 Cobra's or MKIV supras that could beat a stock GTR all day, but the key word is stock, Switzer P800 or 700 would be different story. None the less a win is a win.
@SANSOOSON I agree with the Supra, but if a GT500 can't beat an 09 GTR what makes you think a lightly modified Cobra can. It would need around 200+ HP more, and that's not so lighlty modded.
@tenorulz I get what your saying, but my idea of MILDLY modded is ported/polished head, or SC, full exhaust and maybe water/meth injection, and a smaller SC pulley. Also that GT500 weighs over 300lbs more than and 04 Cobra, and the Cobra's torque comes at a lower rpm which even's out the all wheel drive of the R35. My point is stock for stock a GTR will beat any porsche (except a GT2) and couple ferrari's, so comparing it to a heavily moddified car is like saying hey my 1300hp supra beat a ZR1

Just watched my buddys EVO take a TT GTR last night. Evo has a stock engine. Basic boltons. and 1 sick ass single turbo. ran so much fucking boost its not even funny. beat his ass from a 40 roll and the GTR gave up and went home. EVO FTW!

If some people dont know how to tune an engine properly it doesnt mean it blows!! i ve seen the video youre talking about and it surely looks like the drivers fault to me... there are videos of that same evo blowing a motor keeping in mind your thinking evo blows... get it?

But personally I would say the evo is better because a new GT-R cost 80k grand while a brand new evo is 32 grand. So you have 48 grand to play with to mod it. AUS$160k for the GTR, AUS$74k for an Evo X MR. Big difference... Yes indeed... But to try to compare these 2 cars simply doesn't make sense. The R35 has so much potential that is not even funny. To get an Evo to a 11 second or 10 second car requires a lot of time, effort and money! And that doesn't mean that the engine longevity will be maintained. What I'm trying to say is, If I had the money to buy a brand new Evo MR and modify it to be an 11 sec car I would just buy a R35.

@scoobeydoooo You def. never owned or know anything about the Evo. For less then 10grand and race gas the Evo can run low 10's high 9's all day. Most Evo owners don't change gears. Don't be one of those people that talk out of their ass and really have no clue. Gt35r, turboback exhaust, clutch, and piping,race gas + tune. 30k+car and 10K of mods=$40K running 10sec or less. I'm no genius but that's a hella lot cheaper then a $90K GTR. Btw, it doesn't take alot of money,time or effort.

@scoobeydoooo not neccessarily a 450bhp Evo can handle that power everyday for dd. For one the internals are forged to begin with a rating of 450awhp, even up to 500awhp depending on the tune and gas. It all depends on the level of tune, are you using good gas, and are you driving normal or beating the crap out of it. Assuming you have the correct supporting mods. you can def. drive a 400+hp evo all day versus a GTR which most owners do not drive it day in and out.

Exactly that is what I have been saying all along. Not saying the Evo has no potential, in fact, the Evo is a known and proven platform to start a good, solid build, resulting in a real fast car. However, the GTR is just in a diferent league. The potential of the GTR is just beyond that of the Evo but people somehow don't care to understand this simple fact? A GTR with intake, exhaust and tune will run 10s all day everyday without breaking anything.

Honestly I wouldn't be able to comment on what you said cause I haven't researched the fastest 4g63t motors and the fastest RB26DETT motors but this video features the R35 which runs a VR38DETT. All I'm saying is that the 4g63t motor either first or second generation can't be compared to the new VR38DETT motor. And the RB26 motor enjoys cult following even today, with only the 2jz motor equaling the same level. For me, that says a lot. Not dissing the 4g motor though... ;)

I'm sure there are cats out there with mildly modded 04 Cobra's or MKIV supras that could beat a stock GTR all day, but the key word is stock, Switzer P800 or 700 would be different story. None the less a win is a win.

@tenorulz I get what your saying, but my idea of MILDLY modded is ported/polished head, or SC, full exhaust and maybe water/meth injection, and a smaller SC pulley. Also that GT500 weighs over 300lbs more than and 04 Cobra, and the Cobra's torque comes at a lower rpm which even's out the all wheel drive of the R35. My point is stock for stock a GTR will beat any porsche (except a GT2) and couple ferrari's, so comparing it to a heavily moddified car is like saying hey my 1300hp supra beat a ZR1

I like tuning the PCM or ECU myself, this is the future of car modding, plus the force induction and how well you situate it, especially the intake (Fenderwell Intake, totally away from engine heat). TUNING is the best part of car modding.. You can even make money from it by tuning car club's cars.
