Ok, this episode redeemed my impression to Gundam Age (the trailer sucked so much i thought it was Gundam meets Pokemon).. The animation way different, childish perhaps, but the story and plot is a genuine Gundam. Besides, lets just remember the diversity of animation styles of UC, After Colony, CE, FC, AD, etc. Kodus Sunrise..

But for the record, it would reeaallly be cool if it was a Zaku who stared at 1:16

The 2nd ep makes me even more distrusting of Lt Grodek's intentions. Millais seems to catch on to the UE's seemingly unalienlike behaviour. There already is a Char esque character for AGE revealed called Yaku Dore. clothed in a dark hooded robe and a mask. Yurin looks like Tiffa Addil and eerily enough has Newtype-esque abilities, guiding Frit on a way out of Nora. The Diva may be able to save Nora, unlike the past where Side 6 and Heliopolis get destroyed.

@KohChian1 If you watch Ep 2 AGE 1 gets the DODDS Rifle which performs similar to RX 0 Unicorn's Beam Magnum ie overpowered for a rifle. The UC references are all there (Amuro Ray's room = Frits Room, Zedas = Zaku, Shalldoll = Nemo, Gun-Ez = G-Exes) as well as Alternate universes (Tiffa Addil = Yurin, Grodek = Jamil Neate, Nora = Heliopolis) plus the story already is tense and surprisingly deep for just 2 eps, Grodek acting suspiciously a red herring, youd be stupid for ignoring the writing

The thing which is better about AGE than 00? The main protagonists, who are more or less kids, don't think they are gundams. The art style reminds me greatly of the Megaman Zero/ZX series, which is a plus for me. The plot looks like it will be way better than post Trans Am S1 and S2. Not gonna even compare Seed/Seed Destiny to this.

@frostmourne1986 hahaha SEED Destiny, SEED is a decent series come on, at least they tried something different like here with AGE (which already seems like a Studio Ghibli anime rather than Gundam - weird in a good way!) they're gonna remaster SEED in HD along with slimmed down, rehashed gunplas of Strike, Aegies, Duel, Buster, Blitz and a Djinn - complete with effect parts eg duel gundam assault shroud firing missiles, Buster cannon with smoke, blitz gleipnir with verniers, etc
