Is Zbrush compatable with 3D animation programs like Maya and Lightwave? Can the objects, UV maps, and textures created in ZBrush be imported into Maya/Lightwave animation scene? I'm trying to get into 3D animation and ZBrush looks like it could really save time and energy modeling objects, but I can't find anything on the official Pixologic website that mentions Zbrush objects can be imported into Maya/Lightwave and used in animation. So, can this be done?

the head was modeled seperately, but in zbrush. The poly count was under ten thousand if I remember right. I think it was modeled in 1.23. Thank you for your intest

Nice character. And nice character name! I was into it for the first 15 sec or so, but then it got old. It's a shame to leave it like this. Have your friend animate a few new moves, edit the video to sync with the music, and cut between shots of the character's face, etc. Maybe even add a second character who can interact and dance along. Keep it within 30 sec and have it tell a story and you're set.

thnx I think...he was a character I modeled several years ago..and an associate at the time, did the animation. Another associate looped it and remixed the music that you hear. Not lazy, I only model. I don't do the animations. Thnx for your comments.

the animation was only a trial at the start of the project. Just to see how the character/model worked. Another friend of mine looped the animation and added a remix to it. So that is what and why you see what you do. No other animation exists on this character at the moment. The model is on file sitting in limbo. thnx for your interest also.

it's been so long, I am not sure if he was using 3dmax or LW...I modeled him in zbrush...hopefully before too long I can find another rigger/animator and work with them on something new. thnx for the comments. Ron
