THis is just MY personal opinion but I off all the albums I've heard from Converge (all of em except the one before jane doe) and i have to admit the No Heroes is probably their weakest album for me. It's decent, but a little tiresome......my fav album from them...You Fail ME!!!

Some people say this band isn't going anywhere because they don't try. I say they like where they are and don't want to be a typical band that only scene fucks listen to. They've toured the world a few times and own a record label, that is definitely going nowhere. Jake is an amazing artist and does album art for Underoath, As I Lay Dying, Goatwhore etc. I think they just don't give a fuck what people think and do what they like, which last time I checked was the whole point of heavier music.

Converge's Music strikes at a deeply personal and painful place & that's why I find them so powerful and emotive. Just because they're too loud or noisy (or whatever reason you have) is absolutey no reason to chastise such an amazing group of musicians. They put everything into their performances; you can't hate on that.

although i love their music and i respect their artistic integrity, i find it extremely lame that jacob puts little to no effort in annunciating the lyrics. i realize that it would be difficult to sing the way the lyrics are, on the record, but i mean come on, at least scream the right amount of syllables in the verses haha.

Jacob is not stupid. He understands that his singing style is so hard to interpretate that he could not care less about singing the lyrics. I mean, if you sang like he did, you'd probably do the same thing. If you are in a pop band, you'd have to sing the lyrics correctly.
