I love this song! It sounds just as pretty as the English version if not better!! I take Spanish II, and I'm using this to get me more used to listening to Spanish. The title of the song is the same in German I guess. I don't speak Spanish, I wish, I would have chosen it, when I could, but I chose Latin -.- Spanish is a beautiful language, even if they speak too fast in my opinion. :D

Yes, it's the same :) I've listened to the German version of this song (wich was really beautiful by the way) and I remember the title was 'Liebe triumphiert', wich means 'Love will triumph' right? just like in Spanish ('Triunfará el amor')

@Kovu We do speak fast, but we don't notice it. Spanish is considered the second fastest by many studies, just right after Japanese, which is pretty reasonable because both languages sound kinda similar (I also study Japanese). The problem is, even if both of them are the fastest, they need more words to express what they want to say as opposed to other languages that are slower but can express more with just a few words :)

Well, I'm not sure if we actually use 'more' words, but I do think that our words are longer. I mean, in English, most words have one, two or maybe three syllables; while in Spanish it's quite common to use words with three, four or more syllables

You can keep playing with words and type "Spanish is fast" or whatever comes to mind LOL. A lot of foreign people agree that it sounds. Sometimes I think in the Canaries we speak even faster, but I'm not sure. Have you heard it? If you have, how does it sound? I'm curious now xD

@Kovu I can't really be sure b/c being Spanish makes me unable to judge just by the sound, but there is a good chance they do at least sometimes since we have the same five vowels (although "u" it's a bit different) and we combined them with consonants pretty much the same way. So if you read now "onaka suita" (I'm hungry) the Spanish way, it would sound the same. But Spanish have more sounds and combines letter "r" with other consonants like "bra, tre..." Letter "r" in Japanese is softer, btw.

@idairatsuki In conclusion, for Spanish people is considerably easy to get to pronounce Japanese in an almost native speaker way, but it's a bit more difficult the other way around :)

El japonés mola mucho ^^. Tiene sus complicaciones, sobre todo en la escritura, pero la sintaxis es bastante sencilla. Es más fácil aprender a hablarlo que a escribirlo.

A lo mejor son cosas mías, entonces xDDD. Me pregunto de dónde serán los que más rápido hablen... A mí es que los idiomas me encantan y por eso me pica tanto la curiosidad xD

Je, no me extraña, porque yo he oido que en la escritura japonésa, en vez de tener una letra para cada fonema (como nosotros), pues tienen un carácter para cada sílaba. Vamos, que deben tener un montón de caracteres para escribir, por no mencionar lo complicado que debe ser dibujarlos.

Y los que más rápido hablan en España, pues ni idea... Yo soy de Aragón, y no se si aquí hablamos especialmente rápido

El hiragana (para palabras jaopnesas) y el katakana (para palabras extranjeras) son un carácter para cada sílaba más las vocales y el sonido "n". Esos son bastante sencillos y no son muchos, como nuestro abecedario, más o menos. Luego están los kanjis, que son los caracteres CHUNGOS, ya sea para leer o escribir T_T

No sé cómo es el acento aragonés, pero hay muchos que no distingo xD Si viviera en la Península, igual podría distinguirlo ¿?

i think when / after kovu is singing it better then the english version (im english :D) but its so cool how the song is changed so mush in a different language , but then when there speaking normaly its almost the same (from what I've seen here ) =D ... ohh and by the way ... please dont think im weird cuz i look at songs in a different language XD

That's because, when they're speaking normaly, they can just translate what they say almost directly into another language.

However, when they sing, there is one extra problem: the rhythm of the song. And sometimes, the direct translation doesn't fit with that rhythm, so they have to change the lyrics.

Haha, don't worry! I don't think you're weird at all, why should I? :) I also like listening to other versions (the Italian version of this song is quite beautiful)

Haha, I know what you mean, and I don't think you're a sadistic. In that scene we see Kiara, probabbly the sweetest character, facing his father with such anger because she's fed up with him always trying to be like Mufasa. Besides, Kiara gets angry with Simba because Kovu and her love each other and Simba is too blind to realize.

So it's completely normal to get that shiver, :)

"Jamás" means "Never" (aswell as "Nunca").

"Jamás" and "Nunca" have the same meaning. I guess "Jamás" is a little more emphatic (Kiara is quite angry talking to Simba here), but it normally makes no difference.

But, personaly (don't get angry), I DISLIKE the pop version: those 'singers' (from a spanish singing-realityshow) seemed to have no emotion, and this song deserves so much more!
