It's "Jean De BREE-YENNE", not "DE=BRIONNE" as they're mis=pronouncing it...correct me if I'm wrong but if I recall my rules of French grammar correctly, the "E" becomes an "EHHH"-sound before a double "n".

would you said us please what ballet was his last? because Raymonda is from 1898...I can`t remember, others, there's a Glazunov 4 seassons and some other forggoten..

the nureyev's version from L'Opera de Parìs is the best Raymonda for me .

his last was the 1-act ballet of 1904 to the music of Drigo - "The Romance of the Rosebud & the Butterfly". His last big ballet was "The Magic Mirror", 1903, to the music of Arsenii Koreschenko, though Drigo revised the score a great deal. ABT has been staging some really abominable productions of the "classics" lately, & don't get me started on that awful "Le Corsaire".

thank you for the information, american people can`t make Petipa's ballet, the best years of ABT was when Misha and Makarova was principals choreografers and directors .
