it appears that the two radios are not on the same frequency; the FT-1000mp seems to be on 7082.19MHz and the FT-2000 on 7082.09MHz. Or is there RIT on to compensate the difference?
I have tried 3 different 2K's and know how to use'em. Still they are no brainers... dunno now when that "outboard" mod is available - they say that it changes everything :)

The FT2000 is not correct configured: Contour is OFF, DNR is OFF!!!!

Am i right in saying the ft-1000mp sounds clearer the ft-2000 sounded a little muffled and the squeal was more pronounced
