  • why is john in his working suit?

he could be nude there and nobody cares

  • man in the pool : what the hell is going on here? EARTHQUAKE!!!!!

  • The voice from 0:56 to 1:15 is sampled in the psytrance classic Ect - Sqwark, i can bet one of my plastics limb to it

  • vzypen1, i would guess 10 or 12 wanks a day. gotta alllow time for meals, taking a dump and sleep

  • Alone in TB5 ... How many times do you think he wanks a day??

  • @Vzypen1 with tb5 i actually always wondered why people never could a big ass space station in orbit when they also have satellites in orbit and rockets that can get in orbit around the freaking sun

  • @Vzypen1 after a while it will be like living in a snow globe!

  • 2:27 - Hawaii?

  • Don't you just-love Tin-Tin; seriously-hot then-&-now.

    Okay; think I was 9yo at-the-time, in-love with-a-much-older 'girl' :)

  • How feet was TB5?

  • err the bomb says bomb on it xD

  • Hello I'm an Auot-Bomb, I blow up really good :P

  • @Maltray Auto-bomb is useless without the super-reliable auto-detonator to go with it...:D

  • 7:35 WHAT'S UP WITH ALAN'S VOICE?!?!?!?! =0

  • @sugarbabe37 he was voiced by someone else in this episode (as it was a pilot episode), the guy who voices him in all other episodes wasn't hired when this was screened

  • no it was neil armstrong was the first man

  • they have used waffles as speakers so they must waffling about something

  • @lighteningBlitz hahahaha *snorts* :D.

  • Tin Tin is a psychic knowing what happens next

  • Automatic X-Ray in airports; just like today, except it's to check people rather than bombs on landing gear on nuclear powered supersonic jets.

They had style in the 60s indeed.

  • @therealBraddoc They sure did. Wonderfully astute comparison. Ahh to be back in the 60s again.

  • The fireflash has to be a more unlucky vehicle than the three-wheeler van in Mr. Bean lmfao

  • @cooldood416 nah don't think it set on 2000 on the dot. Gerry always set the year of what his shows is based on except Space 1999 and UFO a hundred year ahead from year of when it was created. TB was created in the 60s, so year of what thunderbirds is based on is either from 2060 to 2069.

  • 2064 or whatever year Thunderbirds series is based on and STILL airport security hasn't been strengthen. Just like today.

  • I like how everything is described in details

  • ROFL, colored X-ray of a flying plane

  • "Our equipment is way ahead of its time" well, except for those tape decks and funky mics. :)

  • anyone else notice how deep Alan's voice is at 7:35-7:36????

  • overfly at zero feet. how is that possible. Must be the future, we dont have the technology to fly over a base at zero feet and don't crash

  • I think the Tracy's house should be on MTV cribs... haha.

  • 7:36? What the hell? That isn't Alans voice.

  • I just realised that the letters of the 'International Rescue' on the space station would appear reversed to any incoming craft! :P

  • old memories <3

  • Sir5racealot

Planes can't fly at 6 times the speed of sound? See:

    Published Date: 28 May 2010

AN UNMANNED X-51A Waverider aircraft has set a record by flying for more than three minutes at six times the speed of sound – the longest supersonic combustion ramjet-powered flight in history.

    Essexbred1986

If they were referring to Tin-Tin as the "cute" passenger, you can only assume Lady Penelope was not aboard.

  • i wish fireflash flew for real. flys the 6 times the speed of sound. that's faster than concorde.

  • It doesn't matter if it isn't close to real it's insain watching it

  • Comment removed

  • X-rays don't work like that - you need something reflective behind it to reflect the X--rays back

  • Don't mind the deatisls too much ;)

  • who cares about the X-rays! planes can't fly at 6 times the speed of sound either! its not real is it!

  • @sir5racealot Sorry to break your bubble regarding mach 6 :-)

Ever heard of NASA's X-15 ? In '65 it flew mach 6.7, it flew under it own power into space, and back to earth the pilots were the first in human history to receive astronauts wings. There were plans to further develop space craft. In '65 that was what the future looked like.(But the mercury program came along and the Soviets with their Rockets,so the X-15 program was it was scrapped

    Here is a link /watch?v=skG5ioabGVQ&feature=related

  • @joshsb13 lol don't make a fuzz about it, it's thunderbirds! there's also no daylight at 250.000 ft

  • I think the Fireflash pilots was referring to Tin-Tin as the "cute" passenger.

  • imagine being in the swimming pool when thunderbird 1 took off lol it would shit u up abit lol

  • YIriHm1eQbs

    ^_^

  • @equnai Ahhhh I remember that commercial well... xD

  • @LLOYDIE710

I think there was a holiday ad where that actually happened

  • @LLOYDIE710 there is a episode that they have visitors in the swimming, while thunderbird 1 has to leave. They ehm..dive underwater for short while :P

  • @FlippieX There is no such episode :p

  • @Dougurasufilm Well Tintin dive in the outer water with some friend of tracy, Im sure its an episode

  • @FlippieX so they have to dive to not see the thunderbird, exactly what I said.

  • "Passengers, or passenger? I saw her too, she's kinda cute."

Really? How many passengers do they have? Hundreds? And only one of them could be considered "cute"? ;)

  • I read on wiki that Gerry didnt like John, which is why he was always left on the station. Anyone know why he didnt like him though?

  • @ancalites he didnt like the look of the puppet

  • Wait sorry, the bomb itself wouldnt release radioactive material, but it would still damage whatever it fell on.

  • Did they just say they were going to try some manuvers to shake the bomb?

Didn't they say that the impact of landing was ment to detonate it?!

Why not slow down, and have someone climb into the compartment and just, throw it out?

  • If someone threw it out, then it would still release radioactive material, damaging the entire area for miles. Plus they did get someone into the compartment, but he couldnt get to the bomb and he just fell out.

  • Yeah, but I mean he could parachute out with it or something... I saw the next part(dont remember the ep properly from when I was a kid XD) and saw they tried exactly that..

But it still doent cover the fact they were trying to violently shake free the bomb that is shock sensitive!!!!

  • Yeah, I get what ya mean XP. Still, I guess if I was in their position I'd try anything sooner than die slowly of radiation exposure.

  • @Urammar Unless the movement of the landing gear when lowering or something similar was meant to set off the bomb? Or something like that?

  • @Tethran if tht was true, the gear going up would blow it up on takeoff :)/

  • @IHI4ZZx I was thinking more about it working something similar to this:

When the gear is on the ground in the 'down' position the bomb is safe/not armed.

Retracting the gear to the 'up' position on take off pushes in a plunger. This arms the bomb.

Then when that plunger pulls back out when the gear is lowered again this sets off the bomb (since it's by then armed?)

    I don't know. Just a possible suggestion :)

  • i always like how they brought FireFlash back to London to X-ray its wing to check for bombs. very believable.
