no matter what they do with downtown...there is no reason why one would want to move to this ugly underdeveloped, economically dead , police regime infested, undereducated, lazy dysfunctional shithole, unless you want a cheap house Of course the tallest skyscraper is 6 story high old ugly building....no serious businessman would ever invest in this place with exception of telemarketing groups looking for cheap location with law wage employees

@ultrasynthetic I live In Denver and we have rows of bars and the "Night Life" we also have the 20th best Club scene in the USA but trust me all of it gets old fast! I am in my mid 20's and ready to move out of here!!!

im from the COACHELLA VALLEY CALIFORNIA AND I REMEMBER GOING THROUGH LAS CRUCES A COUPLE YEARS AGO WHAT STOOD OUT TO ME WAS THE MOUNTAIN PEAKS WHAT A BEATIFULL SIGHT THIS CITY HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME A BOOM!TOWN JUST GET THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN THERE CITY REPRESENATIVES
