At 1:02 TRT you can see Thomas Point, the nearest land to this lighthouse, nearly 2 miles away. Despite the distance, the water here is only about 7 feet deep (that's why they put a lighthouse there !) The shipping channel, out where you can see the cargo vessels at 1:18 TRT, is about 70 feet deep beneath the Bay Bridge.
There's nothing like being out there. If you are in the Annapolis area please try to make time to come visit. Google the name and you will find the tour website. Groups have been going out all summer.
