It's amazing how good and how unique that 2L boxer turbo engine sounds! When I'm outside I can sometimes hear an engine rev up in the distance and straight away I can tell it's a Subaru Impreza STI. I don't know of any other car engine that is like that (Lambo V12 maybe..)

You are correct, it is for aerodynamics, a spoiler of this size and curvature will actually create down force on the back end of the car. This is the same reason you see large splitters on the front of cars. Hopefully this helped clear somethings up for you :)

@Diamondsarekewl search up a video of a bugatti doing a quarter mile, when it gets to a certain speed the spoiler comes out of the back and it changes it's height and angle depending on the speed the cars going, when you get to supercars like that though, the spoiler is alot more important, the spoiler keeps the car from going airborne haha. the power of some of these cars are astounding.

The Vf34 has the ability to make more power, and is ball bearing

Vf39's are fairly common given they come off of a 04-06 STi. Many people choose this one because Cobb already has a map designed for it and its just more cost efficient.

I believe he is running the Cobb Downpipe.

This exhaust on a stock downpipe would sound very similar, it would be a tad quieter and your wastegate wouldnt make the same sound unless your car was externally wastegated.

are basically the same turbo, they both are a stock STi Turbo.

To my knowledge, the VF43 is the same as the VF39 but with a redesigned wastegate. The VF48 differs from the VF43 via a new compressor design. Your not going to see any significant gains wha-so-ever between the two.

To see something I would suggest an 18G or a 20G for bigger power

The Invidia N1 is a great exhaust as well as the Cobb one but your correct, the N1 is louder than the Cobb. Its also dependent on where you live and how your laws are. We do have one Cobb catback on our shelf right now as well as the N1!

According to Cobb Stage 2 STi map it's a gain of +17% HP and +28% TQ.

It Spools quicker and is much more fun.. It defiantly gets up and goes

to be quite honest with you. The N1 and Nur Spec R compared to the Cobb are hardly comparable.

The N1 and the Nur Spec are one of the more loud exhaust on the market where the Cobb is on the quite/subtle side

We'll your going from a Doughnut gasket to a flat style gasket. If you tighten them evenly then you will have no problems at all.

It is not a bad pair, if installed correctly it will be flawless.

No it is not necessary to get a Aftermarket downpipe to run a CBE.

But the gains you are capable of getting with a Downpipe make getting one worth the money.
