I will be in the proms in the park this year. I expect there will be a majority of white people. I was also at Birmingham Carnival earlier in the year which had a majority of Afro-Carribean people and was fantastic fun.

Sorry man, but it's a part of our history, we can't just hide part of our history and culture like it never existed. Things like our flags and symbols herald far before the colonial era. A lot of Britons are not proud of what we did, but are proud of what we are as a people, and I think whatever the situation that'll remain. This whole event isn't meant to be racist, it's just that I think the Caucasian part of the UK feels a larger emotional connection to these things.

You are right about it being an all British (White) audience, same as when we won the ashes in cricket - the crowd in London were about 97% White.
