  • I've heard that having an episode is like doing a 3 hour intense workout in a gym thats why they are so tired when they come round... is this true? also arn't you meant to put them on their side so they dont swallow their tongue?

  • @jbirr15 Yeah, it is like having a marathon. I get so tried and the muscles are warn out. Sometimes I bite on my tongue not swallow. The main thing that you need to worry about swallowing is blood.

  • I want to ask u, do u use any medicine for that? do u have it regularly? what is the situation when u have it? my brother has the same seizures and he uses depakine and it works but some time he get bored of it and leave it then his seizures comeback to him, he gets that when he get really tired or over worried about any thing and when he has less sleeping time

  • @hbz241 I take 3 types of drugs for my seizures -- Vimpat, Tegretol, and Depakote. With the drugs, I haven't had one since August.

  • @pmbronson thanks for reply I hope u get better soon

  • Get well very soon...... :)

  • :(

  • FUCK I feel so bad for him. At least he's unconscious when the clonic/tonic part kicks in. He has the same type of seizures I have, so I feel sorry for myself too. I wish this guy in the video the very best in life.

  • i remember my sixth grade teacher was pregnant and culapsed then started haveing a seizure, i saw the shaking it was scary!

  • I am impress with the strenght that you have. You touch my hearth and made me sensible to this known reality in my life. God bless you every single minute of your life and thank you for sharing this moment with others. You are creating positive changes in the life of others, Thank you

  • First I want to say I am sorry you are having to go through all of this! But I ran across this today and this is the only video or only person that I seen that can relate to that has EP like mine!! Or that I can relate to! Even though mine are not so server.. They do start the same way yours did in this video all the way up till 6:11 mintues.. so thank you for posting this so I can now show my doctors what happens when I have my EP fits! Happy Valentine's Day! :D

  • @pmiller1214 You are so welcome! This is the biggest reason why I put it on YouTube.

  • Was that your brother and sister with you? They were very helpful anyway. That seemed like a bad one. To be honest, I'm watching these video to see if I can understand my brother's a bit more. The last time I saw him have a seizure, I was terrified, and I didn't know what to do. I'm a little bit more confident now.

  • @ClaraRose99 Yeah...that was my brother and sister-in-law. Just remember to stay positive and make good comments to your brother when he is having his seizures. Try not to ask questions...just be with him.

  • @pmbronson Thanks so much :)

    Stay well.

  • First of all im so sorry u have theses, growing up from a small child i had to watch my mother have theses. i sttill remember her going into them and i didnt understand what they were or why she was doing this. i was scared. so knowing how they are today has helped although my mother is no longer with us i can still remember theses horrible attacks. my prayers go out to u buddy , god bless.

  • @tonhogg1 Thanks...and I am lucky I haven't had one since August.

  • How do we find u on fb??

  • jesus christ

  • i always bite my tongue when i have a seizure and it isvery painfull cause i caint eat when my tongu heart that much

  • @perfection404 Yeah...I bite on my tungue every once and awhile.

  • @perfection404 so do i. i have plenty of pictures of my tongue devastated by an attack. but i can never get one on film because i'm always asleep when it happens :/

  • oh it was really sad I hop u get batter and become seizure. Free :) so when was your last seizure

  • @maab3211 My last was August but my last aura was in Janurary.

  • @pmbronson the last attack i had was in november, 6 weeks after my october attack that fibrillated my heart and required defibrillation while i was still conscious.

  • I just read your response to someone saying that you have been seizure free since August, and that made me happy!

Sorry you go through this. I don't get auras, but I've been in bed when I've gotten mine.

Hope you continue to do well and maintain seizure free!! Will pray that your treatments continue to work

  • Are seizure painful? it looks it, how could you discribe the feeling? asking cause my little brother has them, and he mentally and physically disabled

  • @shockz18 The pain that you get is the pain in the muscles....like you have ran a marathon. You feel stiff and you feel like you want to take a nap. Hope I answered your questions.

  • Sir, let me tell you that you are a person with a lot of courage and very brave. God bless you and I hope that you feel better and better every day. Marcos

  • Im 14 years old an Ive had seizures like this for a year. THANK YOU so much for posting this. So now people in my family arent so scared when I have one because others have them too.!

  • @ShootMe1809 And Thank you for telling me that. Helping family and friends understand what we are going through is the main reason why I put the video on YouTube.

  • Oh no!! This is so sad I cried. It was hard to watch you go through that, but epilepsy's a million times worse than whatever I'm feeling, I'm sure. It's just so miserably unfortunate to see suffering like that. If nothing else, I'm glad you were able to lay down beforehand. Being a prisoner to illness is infinitely frustrating to say the very least. I wish you the best.

  • @dee62383 Thank you so much!

  • @pmbronson No problem! Any time! :)

  • I saw myself have a seizure on camera at work. Mine was almost identical to yours. I have had grandmal seizures all of my life. I feel for you. I hope you are able to better control them now. I know how frustrating it can be.

  • @KrazyKitehLady2010 It has been frustrating but I haven't had a seizure since August.

  • i hear that noise coming from upstairs one a weekO.O

  • ya my little bro just started having siesures three months ago it was almost exactly like this. it only happens when he wakes up but its simalar. He has had three and we are still growing acustomed to it

  • skip to 6;30 for sezure

  • I must say that this really hits a note in my heart because as a child I went through similar experiences and nobody and I mean NOBODY understood what was happening but I never went to the hospital and after awhile they stopped. I know EXACTLY what he was doing. He was waiting in the bed because he had felt a sensation that warned him that something was coming so he was preparing for it.

  • i just cried cause i had never before see how we have a seizure am epileptic..this is sad..i saw this video is 5 years ago..you seen a nice guy!! god bless you

  • @27gemapreciosa Thank you so much!

  • He's a cute guy. I'm sorry he has to go through that pain.

  • My dad has seizure every month and my mom's never home and I cry everytime because I am so scared.... I'm only 13 D:

  • @Shaymincoolgurl I have seizures and my 13 year old son has seen them. He is scared too. May be you 2 should chat. I'll suggest this to him. If he doesn't chat I can. We are all scared and crying is a normal emotional response. I tell my son that we have to be brave. I believe praying helps too, call prayer meditation or what ever you want to call it.

  • Hard to watch I was in tears

  • I hope that guy's doing okay now. He had a very disturbing case of temporal lobe seizure disorder.

And just so you know, 25% of all autistic people, including those with Asperger's Syndrome, are prone to having seizure disorder. I'm one of those.

  • Oh man, this brings back horrible memories. I had severe seizures growing up but they went away. Thank GOD! I fainted anytime and anywhere. I never felt it coming. Riding my bike, sleeping, watching tv.. My mother was also epileptic, and sometimes we had GM's at the same time. We were alone most of the time, and there were several dangerous situations. You are so lucky having good friends taking care of you. How are you these days? I hope you have medications that work properly.

  • why isn't this friend calling 911?

  • @MoiselSpecky Because the EMT is not needed. When I first started having seizures my family had no idea what seizures were and I did go to the hospital. But since we all know what to expect I lay down and get ready for my seizing.

  • @MoiselSpecky We can not go to the hospital for every seizure. If we did we would be broke and on welfare. We would be there so frequently that we would really be "institutionalized". Most societies have already tried that route. I disserve a minimal of liberty, not bondage AKA locked into an institution with forced lobotomy, forced drugs, forced sedation. If I am forced into that, I would rather jump of a bridge.

  • @bgillonthelake Yes, you are right, I didn't think! My bad. I was so concerned and the video was so heart-wrenching, and I thought oh my god this poor soul is going to die on this video - so I quickly jotted down a comment and left immediately. Like I said I did not think, and I am very sorry. Blessings and courage my friend.

  • What I don't understand is that my friend has epileptic seizures, and usually mid-way during it he starts salivate everywhere, are there different types of seizures or does that just happen randomly?

  • @ComedyWalrus Yes, there are different types of seizures because it has to do with the brain. But my seizures are called Simple Partial Seizures because they only happen in one part of the brain.

  • @pmbronson It actually looks like you had a simple partial which developed into a complex partial and then a full-blown generalised tonic-clonic. Do most of your seizures follow this pattern?

  • Thank you for the video , I get seizures too , God bless this guy , xx From Europe

  • this looks sooooo exhausting , im hope is okay .

  • Does talking to someone who is going to be having a seizure help? Like telling them things to do?

  • @ElvenLovePro I think I suffer from seizures but I don't know...my fiance tells me that I will start to shake violently while I'm sleeping. I just...I never remember it, but is there any tips you can give me to tell him if that happens?

  • @ElvenLovePro Also another question is the sign language good to learn for this kind of thing going on? Like I said I don't know if I have seizures or what it is becuz an ER doctor said they never heard of someone having seizures at night, but never any other time..

  • @ElvenLovePro Just to let you know....you should see your family doctor first. Some people do have seizures during there sleep and other people have sleeping disorders. You should possibly go see a Neurology too...they could put an EEG on your head. If you have problems speaking during your episodes, than you should learn sign language and the people you live with. Write me back if you need any other questions.

  • @pmbronson I sent you a message asking you some stuff about seizures and what not I just didn't want to post it all on here.

  • i am impresed with the premonition he had..i wish my husband had one like that . so i know before he face plants in to cabnet.... he only gets a slight sign.. the moan is more of a sign than anything, but that is after the fact...it seems like u guys were asking to much of him tooo soon.... i dont do any talking, until i see it in his eyes.... the eyes tell everything.... this was a great informative video.... goood luck to all of u....

  • I have suffered the brain seizure only during post mid -night that is between 1-30 and 2-00 am . Mostly on the day I suffer the attack , I get into deep slumber and cry-out loudly and bite my tounge and do not know what is happening during the attack. My family make a call to Ambulance and wake me up to move to Hospital. I will be normal by that time.

Some one told that it is because of the accumulated depression of mind which explodes in this form .

  • I'm epileptic and have had several grand mal seizures growing up, and I have to say this was the best video I've seen that shows what has been described to me. My aura (almost exactly like a petit mal seizure) and the end of the post ictal phase is all I can ever remember, and seeing it happen to someone else totally connected with me. I almost cried during this video knowing that my family and friends have had to go through this so many times. You have my best wishes.

  • @JOYRIDERK19 If you ever have friends that don't know what seizures are....Please pass them on to the video. I want to educate people about what we have to go through.

  • @pmbronson I will. Thank you very much!

  • @JOYRIDERK19 I started tearing up from this too... makes me feel bad for putting family/friends through that so many times... =/

  • My daughter has tonic clonic seizures, she has been diagnosed with a generalized seizure disorder so surgery is not an option. Every time she has a seizure as she starts to come out of it she calls out to me in a distressing manner. Even though I am right there for her, she can't see me but somehow expresses fear in her calling for me. When she has totally recovered, she has no memory of it. It is frightening for both of us, perhaps me more than her.

  • @tydees In 2004, I had a intracranial hemorrhage on the left side of the brain which also caused me to have seizures. As a parent you have to be strong. As she is coming out of the seizure, hold her hand and talk to her calmly. Don't ask questions.

Right me back if you have anymore info. you want to know.

  • You mentioned that he had a temporal lobe resection...what side of the brain did he have it?

  • @tydees I have another video that might answer your question....go to: My New Birth on Life

  • take care brother!

  • son i hope u get better god bless u man

  • I found this hard to watch, I hope your doing ok dude.

  • Thank you for posting this. I'm an epileptic and a professional singer. I was at the bottom of a large set of stairs, minutes before a rehearsal for a Christmas Eve service, when I had a seizure. Because of this video, I'm able to show not only my colleagues (of one, is a daughter of a nurse), but my friends and my girlfriend, to show what will successfully pull me through my episodes. And, I never considered a "sign" to convey communicative and cognitive activity. Again, thank you.

  • @Singingjacobus Well, thank you for watching it. People like us need to educate others who don't know what seizures are and how to help us.

  • I think the dog knew something was wrong. Animals can sense that kind of stuff.

  • My comment got cut off. I forgot everything I said. But basically I want to say thank u again & now next time he has one I will pay mote attention to his body movements & ask his specific questions to c if he can comply. He has had one cat scan before but they don't kno why he has them. His drs suck becuz he has no insurance so he goes through the county. They are no help. I wish they cud kno why he has them & help him out more. It is a very scary disorder to live with

  • @Cinnamonbaby0321 Thank you for your comments!! Do you guys ever think of going to the National Walk for Epilepsy. The next one will be March 31, 2012. It is great meeting new friends!

  • I think it's great that u are sharing ur experience with others in order to educate others. My boyfriend was diagnosed with epilepsy wen he was 19. He went on meds & got better rite after and they slowly lowered his doses until finally he didn't have to take any. Wen he was 24 he had another seizure wen he was driving, totaled his car & then had 15 seizures later that day. Since then he has been on meds & once about every few months. Once he went about 8 months without having one. Now he is 26

  • Just curious, what did you feel all over? You said you felt it in your head; did your head feel funny, like fuzzy or tingly?

  • @ReverendTrask It feels tingly on the part of the brain where I have the seizures. It is close to the left eye. And if you see my video again you will notice that my right body hardly moves when my brother is talking to me before the seizure. I hope that answered your question.

  • After how long did you gain conscience in this vid if you dont mind me asking?

  • @kittyrsa I come out of the seizure when I start making that noise with my nose. But the problem is I can't speak for about 10 - 15 minutes. In 2004 I had a brain hemorrhage which cause the seizures altogether.

  • This was taken like 4 years ago! how are you doing now? Have you recovered fully yet or a little? I really hope you well! Is there anything recent of you???

  • @kittyrsa In the Spring of 2007, I had a brain surgery to stop the seizures that I was having. That video was done in the Dec. of 2007 because I was still having seizures after that surgery. Than in 2009, I had the surgery done a second time and shortly after the surgery I was having seizures again. I made a good video about my surgeries if you want to see it. It is called: "My New Birth on Life". My last surgery I had a friend take some great pictures...it is bloody but good.

  • is this what i look like? this happen in a mall :s

  • @cantfeelbetter17 What....having a seizure???

  • @pmbronson yes

  • @cantfeelbetter17 Was that your first seizure?

  • @pmbronson yes

  • @pmbronson i had 12 in less than 2 hours

  • @cantfeelbetter17 Well, there is a group of us who are with you.

  • HEllo, my brother who is 29 started getting seizures when he was 21, he has been on all types on meds and nothing works. he doesnt no when they are comming and and the seem to look a lot like yours, are you doing anything that is helping? plz give me any advice

  • @breannasmommy100 I have had two Temporal Lobe Resections. That is a type of the the brain that the Doctors have thought that were causing the seizures. Also since 2004 when I have started having my seizures, I have been seeing 5 Neurologists. Don't just give in to one Doctor. Another thing...go to a University Hospital. They try to get the up to date equipment. Plus, I go 3 hours one way to see my Doctor that is why they are so good..

  • @pmbronson I hope I could help. Let me know how your brother is in the future.

  • May Allah bless him and all those who are suffering from such condition, good heath...Ameen...

  • Thanks for posting. Amazing job how you to care of him. It gives a great lead into how to deal with seizures with a colleague of mine. Thanks!

  • I have epilepsy and I never know when they are coming on... Next thing I know is I wake up and someone tells me I just had a seizure. It sucks

  • @raidersonlyblog Did you know there are dogs out there that can go with you everywhere and can feel you having a seizure...plus they can sit next to you when you are having them??? Look into them if you would like to have a dog.

  • @raidersonlyblog ..exactly ...me too ! Embarrassing isn't it...to have this happen and not remember...it changed the way people, even my children saw me...it hurts.

  • Hi, ive suffered with front right temporal lobe epilepsy for 9 years and the have NEVER got me under control the longest I've ever been without a seizure is 5months!! are you on medication? and have you found any other ways of calming it? certain activities? or diet? As i think my neurological team are out of ideas xx

  • @sandydevil89 First of all, go and see more than just one doctor. I have seen 5 Neurology Doctors and I am still having my seizures. So yes...I am on three pills - Vimpat, Tegretol, and Depakote. Vimpat is the most drug that has been put out there on the market and it works the best. Ask your Dr. about it. Also, go to my other video, My New Birth on Life. It will show you pictures of my Temporal Lobe Resection Surgery that I had in 2009.

  • @pmbronson I've tried getting my GP to refer me to someone else but my area code only has 3 :( and they are all full, I'm currently on, sodium valporate, keppra, vimpat & frisium.

I will defiantly take a look on your other videos, and also subscribe :) Thank-You for your advice x

  • You guys are awesome and the guy helping his brother and talking to him is absolutely the best brother in the world. I thank you for being such a great person, this shows us all that the power of family support is a strength that's unmatched by any. God bless you guys. I hope your brother is doing better.

  • @Pacerjames I'm doing great. I haven't had a seizure since August. And thank you for your comments.

  • @pmbronson

Hey man, I'm so happy to hear your doing good, keep it up brother. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.

  • yu goodlooking man hope medication to stop seizures i cant belive yure so young ! i not suffer fits i suffer virtigo i taking medications cinneriznne n carbamazepine..helps relax the brain i havnt had virtigo for 15 yrs ..now .carbamazepine helps stop blackouts .i born deafness .

  • you should roll him off of his back because he can choke

  • @camoisdabest I am usually fine if I lay down with my head on a pillow.

  • @pmbronson oh i was js because your tonunge can kill you from choking

  • @camoisdabest You cannot choke on your tongue... That is a myth. I asked a couple of my doctors that and they said it is physically impossible.

  • @camoisdabest i also suffer from epilepsy and have done now for the past 9years, the only way you can choke on your back whilst convulsing is if you throw up, I'd just like to let people know the myth of swallowing your tongue is false. Its actually safer on your back as on your side you are more likely to bite a chunk of your mouth/tongue x

  • just wondering if there is medication to stop seizures coming on as soon as he fills them coming on. i have a friend with it too, its scary :(

  • @HairBrushBeauty76 I personally don't know if there is any meds that do that but there is a device that would probably be better. The vagus nerve stimulator (VNS) is a small device implanted under the skin near your collarbone. I have a friend that has it and it works grate for her.

  • @HairBrushBeauty76 I don't really think you can stop them once you feel them coming. In my experience, When I reach the nausious feeling right before mine, it's too late. I got straight into a Grandmal seizure and wake up about 10-20 minutes later. Of the 4 seizures I've had, the last one was the only one I had when nobody was around. Thankfully when I came to I was in a fetal position, but man my back hurt so bad (damage done from seizure three and the side of a bath tub)

  • My friend that I lost his name was Andy

  • I have epilepsy, and iv'e only had about 6 seizures in my life, and im only 15, soo scary thoughh! :/ i hated it at first, but now i've grown out of having them, feel for the man in this video though

  • @Xleah01 Thanks...I am doing better. I haven't had a seizure since August. Keep in touch.

  • @pmbronson Glad to hear you're doing better I just hit my 2yr seizure free marker on Aug 22, before that I was 8 days shy of my 5 yr seizure free marker, but thankfully all my seizures have been at times when I was not being medicated. I just have to deal with migranes instead now. My neurologist kind of labels certain migranes and seizures in the same category.

  • I live in Texas

  • @professorice25 A lot of people come from around the country. I am lucky because I live in North Carolina.

  • In 2006 I lost my brother do to a bad seizurer

  • @professorice25 Sorry to hear that....Just remember March 31, 2012 is the National Walk for Epilipsy @ Washington D.C. Please be a part of it!!!

  • That is cool that you have a brother there for you when ever u need him

  • my brother use to take seizures when he was a kid. and being the oldest, i experinced his seizures. scary as it was, i used to get upset when he had them. he didnt have epilepsy, his were caused by high fevers and puberty. he evenually outgrew them. im his sister and hes my only brother. god bless this guy in the video. looks like hes going through a lot.

  • wow your a cutie! ^_^

  • @PermitUsage Thanks for being cute...but it sucks when you don't have a girlfriend!

  • Wow, this guy is a true friend. We should all be so blessed to have someone like that in our lives.

  • @theamazingbiff The man standing next to the bed is my older brother and he always looks out for me.

  • This is exactly what I feel like before a seizure. Just wish I was brave enough to have someone record it so I can watch it and upload it.

Also, I agree with Coalercheerchick... Your a cutie!

  • @CrashitGood Thanks CrashitGood!!!!

  • @pmbronson Plus...that is a great profile picture of you!

  • Wow! That is amazing that you had a resection and are still experiencing this! This is a prime example of why I want to become a neurologist. There are so many questions about the human brain that we still aren't able to answer with today's technology. Hopefully, one day I can help millions of people out there with neurological disorders overcome things like this

P.S. I know this has nothing to do with it, but you're cute!! :)

  • @coalercheerchick I have to say....I wish I could find a wife like you. My ex-wife left me shortly after I started having seizures. Since my wife left me, I had two Temporal Lobe Resections and also had to have a shunt put in. But if you are wanting to see another video of my surgery (it is all pictures)......go to "My New Birth on Life"

    Stay Beautiful!!!

  • @pmbronson I'm so sorry to hear about your ex wife. I guess some people just aren't emotionally stable enough handle a situation like yours. I have always grown up caring for my brother so I guess I'm kind of used to it. He was actually why I got interested in neurology but that's a long story. I'm going through a divorce now so I know how painful that can be but I wish you all the best and I will try my hardest!!

    Take care!!

  • I've had a grand mal seizure, bro take my advice, put your wallet between your teeth, or immediately have someone do it if you can't. TRY HARDEST YOU POSSIBLY CAN, to just CALM down, just think, this is not happening, i'm ok, this is not happening, try not to move around too much either, don't let that blood flow faster.

  • @LivashSB That sounds great but once the seizure starts you can't actually stop it. Believe me, I try to tell it it's not happening every time it starts(grand mal) but it just keeps on going. I don't TRY to move around, my body does it without me! It gets scary sometimes.

  • Do not give him a chance to sit on the Internet and messaging friends, because the focus is not good for who have a seizures

  • @7ZBALPALTALK Thank you for the info but my seizure don't happen because of my vision.

  • @pmbronson I understand from your words that he had surgery in the temporal lobe

  • @pmbronson My cousin has epilepsy and when we went to the doctor told me that focus is not good for him . stay strong

  • @pmbronson this looks very painful! is it?

  • Comment removed

  • get some rest bud seizures take alot out of ya, much love!!!!!!

  • ur not the only 1 broh. i have epilipsy too i'm taking tablets

  • What an awesome friend you have. Off topic, but you're very cute.

  • @cherryceejay I am lucky to still be living here on Earth....And is your profile picture YOU??? If it is, you are cute looking too. I like tattoos!!!

  • @pmbronson Yes. That's Me :) And Thank you. You're a very strong man, it's very inspiring.

  • my friends mom had a seizure today... it was horrifying! at first she opened the door and all of a suddden she starts trembling and poening her eyes and coling them and so i ran out tht door and called my friend

  • not gunna lie i straight up started cryin

  • @fastracktonowhere Thank you for your comment.....and you are beautiful especially with your piercings. I had 8 piercings before I finished college. I had to pull them out because I became an Officer in the military.

  • @pmbronson thanks ^_^

  • Comment removed

  • Apparently you can have a seizure most likely in child hood.............I think I had one when i was 8 or 9 , I woke up and its like I couldnt move.. I mean i could move my head and i wasnt unconsious but its like i couldnt get up, I felt like i was made of led........well anyway hope you get well

  • @kevin17850master Help me pass the word out to your family and friends that November is Epilepsy Awareness and thanks for your comment.

  • I'm sorry u have to go through this.. Have had epilepsy my whole life and only in 2007 did it progress to full grand mal seizures. So i know how it feels to have to go through that.

  • @saphire6128 Thank you so much for your comment. Please be a "friend" with me so we can keep in touch.

  • I kept wanting to tell the "bro" to "shut up" with the 50 questions which his friend obviously couldn't answer in the throes of an aura and the early moments of recovery. At the end, he almost seemed to be taunting him.

  • @saavedra77 Thank you for your comment. The questions my brother and his wife asked were to get a response to show the doctor.

  • Hope you get better

  • @AustinBizzle2 Thanks

  • my vision became like that of a Kalidescope. Was very strange, then couldn't talk, all muscles locked up. Second time, I felt it, saw it, tried to talk myself out of it, but fell out of my chair at wallgreens while waiting for medicine for my sinus infection. I couldn't walk for days!!!!!!!!!!!!
