  • Is your bucket custom made? (the thing on the bottom)

  • Comment removed

  • a box blade on a 3 pt would have been easeyer.

  • why not just use a grading bucket ?

  • I saw a contractor grade an area that was too wet with the same idea except he put 2 teeth on the back of the blade spaced between the bucket teeth pointing up and clamped it with a small chain binder up the back of the bucket to a hook.

  • no it's digs in more and you don't even know you have done it then your scraped down a foot

  • have you had any trouble out of that TLB yet ?

  • nothing major. a few front wheel seals started leaking that's about all there easily replaced..

  • i like the mod you did , but what if when u need to dig how easy is it to take off ??

  • well it's a bit involved grind down the weld on the front of the bucket side and then push down on it with the weight of the hoe it breaks off the other weld. it seems to work good

  • good idea

  • @billstmaxx The steel plate works good for grading.. We do that all the time with our excavators.

The only suggestion i have is weld the plate solid on the outside two teeth only Weld it to some old wore out teeth. When you want to remove it you pop the pins out of the two teeth the steel plate falls off then you put 2 new teeth on the bucket. That way you dont have to grind the welds and break the plate off all the time.

  • Everyone thinks they could run the machine better than the guy who is actually running it.

  • why not use the ditching bucket its the same width

  • yeah that would be easier. but this is the only bucket i have and a 36" ditcher would be about 1500.00 to buy vs 35.00 for the metal plate

  • yea thats very true have to use what you have its a good idea right enough

  • why wouldnt you just use the front end of the machine?

  • hmmmm.....

  • ohh i thought u meant 110 lawn tractor so i was like wtf?

  • sweet!

  • So I wonder... would you be able to keep it flat on the top of the top soil without your piece of steel across the teeth?

  • that's an nice mod you did!

  • here in north west england we don't need to dig wells, we have our water delivered on a daily basis fresh from the sky!!!thats why we have lakes here and dozens of shops selling waterproof clothes

  • nice first one to comment and rate

  • thanks
