omg i am playing this game now and i have to say i played the first and it was crap in my opinion, you just add dudes to your party until you get a party of 8 and its just plain boring, it doesnt have special abilities big bosses etc, now this game i think it has a better story and the battle system is great, the bosses are really fun and though, its kinda diablo which is good , reallly good game

i dont get the packmule thing, if ur getting rid of items to the packmule to level up and expand its inventory, than how are u going to use the inventory if u keep feeding the mule. you would have an empty pack mule lol with big inventory.

Dungeon Siege 1 is more of a classical just-adventure for the sake of adventure with a Very powerful fairytale feeling (which is what I really love)

Dungeon Siege 2 is much more a classical RPG game. Skill-tree, powers, conversations(a lot). It leaves less for the adventuring. Still: the DS2 engine is more powerful, and nothing stops us from properly modding it to meet our expectations.

go to the...pet's terrace in Eirulan, then take the "elevator" down, follow the way, u kill some Hak'u, then some ghosts, and i think u find Kithraya cavers...Go through it and follow the road, then u can find a rainy road through the woods. Kill the Vulks, then u can find the "Azunite scholar"(Archmage of Valdis:D) and he tell u where to go. Sorry for the looong comment. the vid is 5/5:D

One possiblity is you play next time eg. as ranged char with one/two pets and pick up then Eva as supporting melee char, like this you do the game maybe in a way never done before!?

Or you may look for a mod allowing you to buy the 5th member slot already in mercenary mode:

It's no cheat (monster stats scale up with party size), but i don't really recommand it because the behaviour of the party will become quite unclear and disarranged.

Just take care on the 'inn bug'! So before converting better take all chars/pets out of the inn when still in v2.2, otherwise they may become invalid then in v2.3/BW. :=(

Well clearing the inn storage is tricky, thus i left some notes on the web to assist:

...but not doubt starting a new party is probably the easier way.

Possible!? - Well from a technical point of view, yes, since that sword exists as game object as you can see it ingame.

Unfortunately that sword is as big as it looks, and carrying a sword that is 3x larger than your char looks quite crackbrained.

So from practical perspective Valdis' sword is not available as regular unique sword, and if respecting the story of DS2 too that sword gets finally destroyed anyway.

By the way, patch v2.2 needs 4GB of space temporarly to be installed (not 2.5GB as told).

So have you already applied patch v2.2 ?

Note that this patch will need at least 4GB free space and not only 2.5 GB as mentioned.

Generally the game is quite easy and you normally won't need cheats - but maybe you just need to know this game a bit better!?

Here a few rough strategic/tactical hints:

- Make familar yourself with short-keys, in particular for mirror, wait and rampage.

- Don't forget to cast a teleporter if you seem to face a difficult situation.

- If you get tired playing try to reach the next teleporter nethertheless before saving (again) and exiting.

- Better don't play with too many party members - it will make the game disproportionally easy.

- Keep the pace: Your level should be always as high as the level of quests or monsters. Being over-leveled leads to insatisfying game experiences (strange exp/difficulty calculations, relatively low-leveled loot too since it only depends on quests/monsters).

- Around level 40 try to buy at least 10-20 Prismatic Baubles to enchant later (at ~level 50) at least 1-2 legendary Magic-Find rings.

- Put all Magic-Find stuff on one char only (and even if knocked out it seems to count).

- If you have an rather armor-weak char: Hire a melee char or pet able to provoke. As auxiliary way let your melee char cast the curses - that has high provoking effect too.

- Forage betimes some low-leveled enchantable spellbooks - at the beginning your melee figher won't have enough magic levels to use them, at the end of mercenary mode he easily will.

- Get some nature magic levels for buff bonuses or casual heal-casting if you don't intend to hire/play a nature mage.

- Get slightly multi-classed to pick out the most interesting skills form ofther classes: Dodge, Survival, Fortitude, Toughness, ...

- Alacrity skill also works for 2H weapons (in particular useful for vet/elite mode where you have a lot of skill points).

- Never enough mana? Look for items with mana leech/regeneration or pets with mana-related emanations.

Honestly i think the game is below its real potential and it would surely need more attention form the developer and publisher since some things can hardly bypassed by some well meant advice. :(
