In all honesty this is one of the best performances in idol history to me. Of course there are MANY other ones I consider some of the best Idol performances too. But this performance...he looks like such a legendary rock star here. Amazing voice, simple and solid delivery of this song. Brilliant performance. Michael has what it takes as far as what really counts. Great voice, great charisma, nice person. But this song is not him. Too much Michael Bolton scream. There is an individual in Michael Johns that this show is not bringing out, and hopefully he can get there on his own. Because he is better than this, in my opnion. His audition was better than most of his songs on the show itself because it showed interpretation. Otherwise , what else is there---his voice is better than most pop singers but so far the delivery isnt --- he needs to be himself.

He had a good audition.

He sang a great version of bohemian rapsody in Hollywood week which Simon said was the best audition of the day he had a good first performance in Hollywood and always kept control.

He is down to earth and has had many interesting jobs such as a tennis coach a mascot and he had a band. Oh and he is awesome!
