Check out Part 2! The end of it. You're not supposed to turn on a synthesizer, and have instant sound perfect! It takes tweaking. Where are you guys? This wasn't a race...
This was done a while ago. With no basic training except personal education, I ended up with a fairly nice sound at the VERY end of part 2, which is the point after all, with sound design, hehe. Check it out to see if you want.
well, quite offhandedly actually. you might be used to a certain form of bassline. I was just trying to show a bit of how Operator works to create nice bass-frequency timbres. My particular melody is just a sequence of notes... I should have just called it a sequence of notes as not to confuse anyone. thanks for the language lesson, dood.
you can use vst instruments. the octave i am playing in isn't optimal. when I turn it down two in the end of the second part, it sounds better. this is a tutorial on growing a bass sound with Operator, an onboard instrument of Live. it takes a while to get the sound you want but it turns out well in the end, hopefully :)
u have to buy it, if u go to preferences, the hit the products tab, u can buy it there or enter an unlock code, or use the demo mode, demo mode wont let u save or export though, even if u use demo then deactivate it, u have to start a new project to save and export after using demo mode.
You sound like vincent from depsicable me?

Hm... is this an onbord instrument of Ableton Live? It doesn't sound like what I would call a phatt bass. Cant u use VST instruments in Live??
