I think your music is great (Especially this song). I just don't think America's got Talent is the right venue... They don't seem to recognize "Song Writing" as a talent and are only looking for people with perfect voices to sing Ave Maria. @maaudiosubs I couldn't hear the guitar because of the loud crowd, and it's not an electric guitar so it had to be miked up. I wasn't supposed to play until 4 o'clock that afternoon instead of 9 that morning like I did. I felt the show had to go on. I just kept on trucking and I went on knowing I was losing my voice. We had 53 other acts that had to perfrom the same day that I had to. Considering I had a First Act guitar, I did make it sound like a 600 dollar guitar.

@RereAndRerun That was the point of the song. I was a truck driver, as I've lived the life of an over the road truck driver and it cost me everything. But I also learned how to be trucker tough as we say. Truck Drivers Aren't Supposed To Cry! no matter how bad things get. My sister died when I was in truck driving school 3 yrs ago something else that was edited out of the interview and that was the inspiration of the song.

Of course in this recording (1988) I was half my age now. I am also on two videos with my band The Waltles when I played bass 10 yrs ago at the Salinas Valley Vair opening for Denny Laine.
I admit I was losing my voice there as when I left St. Louis it was 73* that morning and landed in Minneapolis in March where the weather turned from sunny to blizzard and 25* and the long hours of rehearsing and rescheduling for all 54 acts that were to perform that day ruined a lot of us that day. The show had to go on!

Also bear in mind there was a lot of chaos backstage due to scheduling and weather and because of the weather a lot of us were not up to par as most of us were losing our voices.
