  • omg i havent played mega man zero 1 since it came out and this beat has been roaming around in my head since.

  • i prefer the zero 2 theme at 1:45

  • Awesome game + awesome BGM

  • fuckin hard as hell!

  • @grey fohands up if u think megaman zero should have been in mvsc3

  • @greendagger87

    He is in MvC3.

Well, the Megaman X version of him is.

  • @grey fox try old school gaiden since u like hard series like this one

  • I love how consistently good the Zero games are. The X series was just all over the place when it came to quality, good, bad, average, crappy, amazing, awful, while the Zero games were all just really, really good. If I had to pick favorites I'd probably go with Zero 2 and 3, but 1 and 4 are both excellent as well.

  • @CronoManiac42

Couldn't have said it better myself. I just bought the Zero collection on the DS and playing all four back to back and not one of the four games is at all disappointing, all are great. The X series was great but had it's downfalls but had great games. Zero did not have a bad game. and as for the folloing ZX series, both games were very good in my opinion.

  • I dunno I may be one of thefew who say this but personally I like MZ2's Neo Arcadia theme the best. MZ1 was an awesome song, MZ2 amplified that and in my opinion MZ3 butchered the Neo Arcadia theme. I wont deny that the MZ3 song is good but it has almost none of the original Neo Arcadia feel. Honestly in MZ4 they should have switched Straight Ahead (Ragnarok level 1st one with Kraft) to a better Neo Arcadia theme.

  • @Phantasia100 Part 1

You're not alone regarding the MMZ2 theme; I thought it was stronger than the first, and better than the 3rd. I'll have to somewhat disagree with you about the 3rd; I gree that it was good, but that it was different doesn't mean it was butchered, and frankly I preferred what we got over a 3rd version of the same tune. I especially disagree with you about MMZ4; while I wouldn't have minded if they'd replaced the track from one of the other Ragnarok stages.......

  • @Phantasia100 Part 2

......(probably the final stage) but "straight ahead" was quite possibly my favorite track of any MMZ game, and I definetely wouldn't have put another Neo Arcadia theme in place of THAT track.

  • @GoRedskinsAndWizards

I agree with you that Straight Ahead was an amazing final level theme, and it fit since you weren't in Neo Arcadia. It was a nice new stage for the final game in the series. The ending parts of MMZ4 has probably the best music in the entire series, hands down.

  • Neo Arcadia sent some freaky shit after Zero in the 1st game

  • mega man zero2 had the hardest beats of all the games the base intro was the smoothest ceil was hot

  • mega man zero had the hardest beats of all the games the base intro was the smoothest ceil was hot

  • mega man zero had the hardest beats of all the games the base intro was the smoothest ceil was hot

  • the zero 3 theme is the baddest of the bad

  • Too right mate.

  • @Castletubevania

And is by far the hardest level in the whole Zero Series.

  • @nigget187 imo zero 3 WAS the most badass of them all. there are no words that can describe the way i felt while playing megaman zero 3

  • Comment removed

  • i beat mmz4 and mmz3

    i'm about to beat mmz2

i'm nowhere near halfway complete for mmz1 XD

  • @Sinswordsman wait, why did you start backwards...?

  • the later games are more fun and somehow easy

  • I really have to pick this game up, the music is awesome!

  • For Mega Man Zero 1, I say stay away from it unless you are like a master at the Mega Man games, I returned Zero 1 but I'm sure I can beat it now, I can beat Zero 4 with just about no hits.

Zero 2 and 3 I have not played, but I hear that Zero 2 got the highest rating of any Mega Man game. Ever.

    Zero 4 kicks ass.

  • Oh yes, Zero 1 is hard. Hard as a boulder on your head.

The LEAST they could've done is refill your lives after a mission, but nooo...they make sure that you're screwed the entire game. I'm at the core right now. I have to beat it in one try, because I lost all my lives at the beginning of the game, and can't find find any extras.

  • What I don't understand is why the game penalizes you in your rating for losing one life in a mission, but not losing all of them.

In fact, you if you do that, you get another go at that mission scot-free with a shiny new set of lives. What?

  • You do? When I lose all my lives, my choices are abort the mission (which refills your lives, but doesn't let you re-try the mission.) Or restart from the last save, i.e. with only the lives you earned.

    Did I miss something?

  • Doh. I might be thinking of one of the games later in the series.

    Sorry.

  • Yes, that Lives thing pisses me off. The X series did that as well, but the Zero series adds on to that by making it impossible to retry the mission. I should have kept the game and failed every mission I didn't need to complete (I already did with the first set of missions and got the E rank) I don't care about my rank, as long as I can play the game.

  • Megaman Zero 1

(A.K.A 1-ups? What the hell are those?)

  • 1-ups are also know as extra lives. The term was originally from the older games like Mario and all that. But in more recent games, they are called extra lives.

  • He's not actually asking what 1-ups are--he's making a joke about the game's high difficulty. Well, specifically, he's quoting Mandi Paugh's review of the game (on her website, MMHP) where when she summarizes the game's difficulty by saying "1-ups? What the hell are those?".

  • @Castletubevania Under normal circumstances, I would too. But because of the way the game is designed, some boss moves are dropped if you're anything less than A. Granted, while that would make the game easier, for some reason I can't bring myself to skip out on those attacks. I do the same in the later series as well, especially in those games actually, because you're actually rewarded for going through all that trouble.

  • @GreatFox42

oh god yes, its hard... and you can get extra lives, but you have to keep killing enemies forever to do it... Zero 2 is much easier on you about that, it's much easier to find them... I never had a problem with lives in 2 or 4... but I've never played 3

  • @GreatFox42 (i know your comment is a year old) i actually think that makes the game more fun.

in fact, i never lost a single life exept for that time i fought the slug/goo boss in neo arcadia...and i used only cyber elf to increase my maximum health (NOT the double health cyber elf). it was never a real problem :/ and btw, did you finish the game yet?

  • @DarkMar1ne Yeah. Shortly after I made that comment. Then I did it again a few months ago. This time around I've taken the strategy of running through it normally first, then resetting the game and speedrunning it. Good way to ensure you get Rank A.

  • @GreatFox42 you think THAT'S a hard first part of a series? Try Sonic the Hedgehog for Genesis. You'll be driven to tears after your first drowning game over in the labyrinth zone!

  • @Greener221 Nah. I've had and been playing the original Sonic genesis trilogy since I was four. I still have them, in fact. I know the layout of the zones like the back of my hand and know exactly how not to drown. =D

  • @GreatFox42 YOU ARE NOT A MORTAL MAN!!!

  • @Greener221 Nope, probably not. =D

  • @GreatFox42 I found Hard mode god awful until I discovered the neutral slash trick, which made X's first form a total joke.

  • @Munchmessiah ur right i had a hard time with that series harder than megaman x with a passion damn i hate weil in the manga zero never died wich pissed me off cuz they kill em to make mega man

zx and if anyone loves ninja type people like zero and ryu haybusa like i do then they will understand

  • @GreatFox42 1: i think zero one is god damn easy. most of the bosses can be defeated with no damage, at least i can.

2:the only thing that you have to do, save before every mission. that way, if you don't want to lose lives, you simply put restart from saved game, and do the mission all over again
