The issue is... it does not measure race. That is the problem with their experiment. It measures celebrities with a reputation based on their actions shown to us by the media. Color does not play a role. If the names that they brought up were those of black rappers who admittedly do drugs, engage in violence, and promiscuity, then they are likely to get a negative response. Think about the sample of people that are chosen is all that I am saying. The test is a FAILURE

I don't think the point of the IAT is to single out more racists. It simply reveals some attitudes people hold without being aware of it. The guy in the video admitted that he wasn't able to get over his preference for Whites even when he repeatedly tried to. It's not like he was consciously discriminating or being racist. Because it's a timing test to see how fast you're able to make associations, you don't really have time to think; all you can do is react.
